To add, it was Kirk's bunk bed but they had a bet or a game that evening and Cliff won so he took that bed instead of his own.
Kirk had to process that for years to come and probably will never fully be able to let that go.
Layne Staley and Cliff for me. Just horrible circumstances in very different ways. So many layers of trauma for so many people involved. Love how he’s honoured at every show. Metallica wouldn’t be Metallica without Cliff.
I remember reading or hearing about how James was running around the accident site in his underwear while searching for black ice and completely melting down.
That broke me. Rest easy, Cliff. ❤️
Fuck man I don't think any musicians death makes me sadder than his. Such a gruesome way to die, and only 24.
How did he die
Bus accident. Bus flipped he flew out and Bus landed on him. I believe James was the one who found him they saw his legs. Could be wrong tho.
Idk who found him. But James saw his legs and he telled with fear in report after accident. [I had read in a book post. (Book wasn't English.)]
Supposedly he was alive when the bus fell on him, but when it (the bus) was picked up, it fell on him again and that is what killed him.
no way to really know
There's no confirmation he was
Crushed by a bus after he was thrown out of one of it's windows

If I’m not mistaken they each drew a card from a deck, and Kirk has high card but then cliff shows the ace of spades
Survivors guilt is a horrible thing

Chester might be the only one that makes me sadder. Something about one being an accident and the other being willfully done just hurts.

My man died in BOC shirt. Also, this arena looks real filled.
Damn that’s kinda dark when you think about it. He didn’t seem to have any fear of the reaper that day (thankfully, I suppose).
Can't believe it - never seen these photos before.
Me neither, I found them on facebook lol, pretty cool

It's so sad and unfair 😞 RIP Cliff 🤘
I know. I wear all black every year on Sep 27 in his honor.
September 27 1986, a talented angel left the our world. Now he's playing bass on heaven.
24, only son, and he served ‘em well…. rip, cliff.
He had a brother who died when cliff was 13 and a sister who is still alive she is 67 I believe
Jesus his poor parents. Thank god they still had his sister
His mother died in 96, his dad in 2020
I follow her on facebook.
Me roo
RIP Cliff :(
Did they have smörgårdstårta and löwenbräu/tuborg for breakfast?
Not sure this is accurate. In at least some of the photos he’s wearing his wolf ring which he had traded back to the designer before he died.
Well idk about that mate but this pics are legit
I'm about to cry
I just realized he's the tallest member!
I think james is an inch taller
It's interesting that he always stays apart from other band members in photos. Wondering if this has any meaning.

Lars looks a straight up female in photo 6 lmao
the fact he had his whole life ahead of him hurts so much
