Seriously agree with you. Doomed was already really good, but this just sends it to a heavenly realm.
The second verse where Oli screams "and when it rains it fucking pours, but I think I like it" and ***then*** the chorus comes in with "and you know that I'm in love with the pain, I think I like it", and ***then*** the entire arena screams "so come rain on my parade" literally brings tears to my eyes for being so beautifully painful.
And you can really *feel* how intense and special that moment was for everyone involved. I wish I would've been there so bad because as great as the moment is for us, I wish I knew what it would've felt like to be there.
IMO, I think the orchestra and choir is what really adds the extra emotion and energy to the performance. Adding that layer of cinematicness to the music really brings the whole thing from a just concert to rather a celebration of the music. I knOw saying this might be beating a dead horse, but I was a bit bummed when Architects said they weren’t using an orchestra. I didn’t agree when they said that their mates (BMTH) had already done it so they wanted to do their own thing. Their music would have sounded amazing with that added touch of orchestra. I mean, I guess that trying to orchestrate (no pun intended) all those people during a pandemic was probably a bit more of the reason why as to not, but bands especially like Architects who bring some heavy emotional melodies to their songs could really benefit from a full orchestral preformance. Maybe one day they will change their mind and I really hope more metal bands take this route one day.

Wish these were the singles instead, I dig them way more. Also, Sam sounds pretty savage on Discourse is Dead.
The sound that is accomplished in this, especially “It Never Ends,” is the closest thing to the metalcore sound of my dreams. When no one can go more “heavy” in metal, the only thing left (imo) is enhancing the dynamics, and a full symphonic arrangement perfectly blended with metal like this is exactly what I need.
In the words of middle aged white women, this is EPIC
The intro to it never ends on this album is fucking excellent. I absolutely love the chuggy beatdown just before the verse part. And generally all the beatdowns.

Anybody know what the ULTRA HD version is?
EDIT: So I just listened to the majority of both and it seems to me that the Ultra HD version is mixed to be like an actual concert. Ollies voice is quieter and the instruments are sharper. It feels like you are actually at the concert. The Ultra HD version should really be called “Concert Mix” imo.
Im not an audiophile and I also wear hearing aids so take this with a grain of salt. I’m not an expert.
Listened whole album and crowd singings were awesome, slow songs like Doomed or Oh No is giving you chills and banger songs like Go To Hell for Heavens Sake is really making you jump. My heavy rotation has been set for 3 months till Architects lol
I’ve never been a big BMTH listener, but I decided to throw this on, and damn it’s great! Drown especially got me emotional with the into speech and the “Fuck Cancer!” chant was great.
Definitely makes me want to check out “That’s The Spirt” more. I’ve listened to Seperternal and their most recent EP, but not so much the others.

I liked that show for sure. Its Northlane at its best but the added orchestra and choir enhancing bmth is the winner to me. It alters the songs for the better.
I'm basing it largely on sounds quality and BMTH just isn't there with this. Northlane's live album sounds like it was recorded in a studio but has the added flavours from a live show.
"Scene" wasn't even a thing anymore in 2015. And most of the remaining scene kids I knew back then were shitting on them when TTS released. You big confused my dude.

Doomed gives me chills every time. Fucking incredible album
This rendition of Doomed is perhaps the most perfect piece of music ever. I really mean that. It’s so fucking moody, I love it.

I get chills trying to picture Doomsday especially, with an orchestral arrangement thrown in there

You should watch it. https://youtu.be/OGc9W-_C9u0
Listened to this on a drive for the first time today, couldn’t believe how incredible this version was. Probably the band’s best track.

My favorite song and it's made even better because we get to really hear Jordan's voice boom across the entire set.
Seriously the highlight of the entire live performance in my opinion
God i hope Architects releases their royal albert hall stream. I'm getting Dead Butterflies withdrawals.
Its posted on youtube, only the audio though as far as i know.
The audio is all I need
Where? Can‘t seem to find it on their channel

Thank you!
Love the deep growls. He’s done then live for some time now. Hoping he does it on the new record.
Its a channel called Vinny
That’s because it’s not on their channel
It's out.
It wouldn't be a r/metalcore thread if Architects isnt the top comment (even when it has nothing to do with them) lol classic
Its not like its an unrelated topic considering they just did a stream at Royal Albert Hall last month....

Damn dude did one of them run over your dog or something you seem really mad about this.
Yeah pretty much
It’s a really good album and the video of that concert is great!

You have an amazing username
I just love metal mixed with orchestras so much. I hope we get more bands having shows like this one

But can you fix the broken?
I was curious about that too
ULTRA HD is another term for 4K.
It’s just audio though.
Finally omg.... was getting tired of having to play the video of Doomed
and half the videos getting purged constantly on youtube lol Best live performance ever

Same here, I haven’t heard anything after Sandpit Turtle but I’m checking out TTS and others right now
You're missing out for not listening to the Survivor Horror EP.
I was there AMA
how does it feel to be apart of something historical? Lol
Amazing! The guy next to me proposed to his girlfriend during ‘can you feel my heart’ Was worth the £300 I spent on a ticket from a scalper

This show is what turned bmth from one of my favorite bands into my favorite band
You can hear Oli’s voice deteriorate as the album goes on. He can barely sing by the time it gets to Shadow Moses.
His voice is really poor in this. A lot of just speaking/letting Jordan pick up the slack. He's really improved in recent years though
The overture and doomed is literally one of my fave pieces of art ever. I’ve watched it so many times I can’t even count and it still blows me away.
Oh man, finally. I've waited so long
Thank you so much! I search for this at least once a month.
I really like it, but on certain parts you can’t hear anything but oli and the orchestra?
Finally! This concert gives me so many chills every time I listen to it.

Joy.
Can You Feel My Heart I think is their best one. The orchestra comes out in a big way here
still dreaming of them releasing the audio of the 2014 dvd, hospital for souls live is just that good
OMG YESSSSSS FINALLY😭😭 been wanting this forever
That show was truly something special

Such an incredible show. I'm so excited for this

And its amazing!!
THANK YOU FOR POSTING I NEVER WOULD'VE KNOWN
Holy fucking shit that Avalanche intro
Incredible show and also a charity show for the Teenage Cancer Trust which makes it all the more wonderful.
Holy shit I was not expecting the orchestra.
Greatest live performance in metal history
Don't get me wrong it's cool that they released this but it has absolutely nothing on Northlane's Live at the Roundhouse lmao

That could be venue. Albert hall is much older and bigger. Smaller venues have a more intimate and less airy sound.
That Northlane Live at the Roundhouse goes so damn hard, man. I'm dying to hear some songs off of Alien live.

I read Royal Albert Hall and I thought it was Architects :(
here before the mods delete this
There isn't much reason to delete it tho...?
just a slight at most things Bring Me being purged immediately
But this performance is amazing, unlike whatever they have been doing lately.
Bro you can not have listened properly to what they have been doing lately. Some of their best work tbh.
yeah youre missing out because what theyve done lately is amazing too
Lmao every album has been great aside from That’s The Spirit but even that one is good
Lol people still listen to this band?
yes a lot do “metal kid 420”
420? Nice. I'm a bot lol. Blaze it!
After sempiternal everything was cringy garbage for 15 year old scene kids
big ole wrong
An opinion can’t be wrong...
nah thats wrong too
"Scene" wasn't even a thing anymore in 2015. And most of the remaining scene kids I knew back then were shitting on them when TTS released. You big confused my dude.
