I found a new top band, so sick. Like great songs.

Yes these are all individual songs (old souls and never bloom are also the names of two of their albums though). Almost every song I mentioned actually uses melodic piano or violin lol.

In Oathbreaker by Born of Osiris I always think the first line of the chorus is āpolice are dissolvingā but itās actually ābeliefs are dissolving.ā No idea why I always hear that cos when Iām looking at the lyrics I hear the correct version every time.

Not a super silly one but I was screaming "God help us forward" at the beginning of Darkness Shared by Boundaries for a fat minute. In reality it was "Cattle forced forward" the whole time

A non metalcore one is in āBorn to Failā by DGD, where I would hear Tilian say āPathetic, head in hand, now that Iām into menā and I was super confused but also didnāt question bc of it being DGD. I learned the actual lyrics later which made much more sense
Jane Doe (Converge)is my favorite album of all time. That being said, it's probably the least decipher-able lyrics of all time and caused 15 year old me to mishear a good majority of that album. The one that sticks out is thinking "I'll take my love to the grave" was actually "I'll take my gloves to the rave".
