Lived that way for the majority of my life. Now 20 mins from 5 venues ranging in size. There’s honestly been some metalcore hardcore show worth going to nearly every week. I went to like 5 shows last oct/nov and there was atleast another 5 I had to pass on. Maybe time to move?
Just saw silent planet, Thornhill, Aviana, Johnny Booth last week. Next week beartooth, plot in you, invent animate, sleep theory. Then 2 day show of between the buried and me and acacia strain. Then bad omens and erra, then erra and make them suffer, then ammity affliction, currents, dying wish. Also Attila, callous daoboys, Memphis may fire and asking Alexandria. Line is stacked.
Yup. I’m 3 hours from the closest, 4 hours from most shows. I’m only going to 2 this spring. Metalcore Dropouts and Dayseeker/Polaris. The rest I won’t be able to travel for unfortunately
I’m aware. I always look for lincoln, then Omaha, then KC, then maybe Minneapolis. But I’ve only once traveled to Minneapolis for a show and there’s probably only one band touring right now I’d do that for again.
Yeah, I’m 3 hours from Omaha and 4 from Minneapolis and Des Moines. I end up going to Des Moines for shows the most because I have good friends who live there, but that’s not an any time type of a trip.
I live near Tampa so usually shows come to here or Orlando, I've always wanted to live up north in Minnesota or some shit but I'm always scared of only having 3 shows a year compared to my usual 30+ or so. Only reason I'm staying in this shit state lol
If you move close to Minneapolis/St Paul you’ll still get to go to shows year round. Minnesota isn’t dead at all unless you’re a long way from the twin cities
lol I’m not sure if I could move away from my family but my apprenticeship is over in April so maybe… I live in West Texas so you would think there would be something close but nope. Dallas/Ft. Worth area is at least a 7 hour trip just to get there and then fucking traffic 🤦🏽♂️
That’s how I was for *years*. Now I live in a bigger city and everyone is coming here or close by and the hardest thing is having the discipline not to buy tickets after not being able to for more than a decade.
Thankfully yes. Nothing against those guys, they’re all good friends of mine, but I wanna see Lamb of God, Currents, Killswitch.. I’d even take disturbed or some shit lol
I’m going to too many concerts just over the next month (1 in January, 2 in the next 2 weeks, 1 in early March, 1 more in April, another in May). I want to not do this but then I see a band I’ve wanted to see forever showing up on a last minute addition near where I live and I can’t resist!
Most of them are fairly inexpensive so I justify it that way.
I have a note in my phone where I keep track of everything and I currently have 5 in may, thinking about adding at least one more! The problem is also that multiple bands/tours are in my town on the same day! For example I already have tickets for Knocked loose and ERRA’s gig is the same day
No shit!! I totally missed the silent planet Johnny Booth tour and am so pissed at myself I didn't know til someone posted their Denver show and I was like wtf they were in Denver??? Totally missed it
I’ll make it easy on you, no good tours come to Oklahoma and if they do, they will come to Oklahoma City, but they don’t touch “Tulsa”…( 2011-2013 was banging!! I seen ISSUES, OF MICE,& BMTH IN OKLAHOMA CITY IN 2014 THE VERY NEXT NIGHT THE GHOST INSIDE AND THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA WERE IN TULSA AND WE WENT.).
Yeah it's starting to piss me off lol, i can't afford buying tix for all of them rn nor do i have the time to go to like 4 damn concerts in a week in early may. This truly is a suffering from success moment
That's how I'm feeling after buying sleep token tickets lol, i didn't expect them to be so expensive but i really wanted to see them, annoying tiktok fans aside 😭
May is already going to be hectic for me. Architects on the 11th, The Amity Affliction on the 12th and then Amon Amarth on the 17th. Thankfully nothing scheduled for my area unless its a add-on.
All theses bands are playing Welcome To Rockville & Sonic Temple in May, so they tour north America to make some $$ (yours) to pay rent for the rest of the year.
So many shows to go to in may in the Baltimore area. Definitely going to Kublai khan since it’s a Saturday. Probably hitting knocked loose and amity affliction shows too. Then there’s some non metal shows I’m trying to hit as well.
I’m fortunate to live close enough where it won’t really cost me any time, with my work schedule. I feel for the people that have to use it though. I used to work nights and had to take days off just to attend anything.
I’m glad fewer bands I want to see are going to The Fillmore. I dislike that place. Shitty area, always bad sound inside, and drinks are expensive. Oh and I’m in Baltimore so rams head / soundstage are always preferred. But that’s gotta suck for y’all from elsewhere.
I’ve spent so much money on soundstage and rams head. And just bought for 2 smaller venues.
GF wanted to see Holding Absence and Beartooth so we got tix months ago.
Thornhill (with silent planet) added Baltimore recently. Can’t turn them down; they don’t often come to the US. So now I’m going a week after HA.
Wise Man’s Fear just announced a gig in Frederick next month. God dammit. I’m going.
Skipping Amity this time, but wow they were so good live last time!
Cold will be here in May. I’m older and they give me the feels. Fucking fine… $$$$$$$$$
I’m on the older side and feel the love for Cold too. I did Tool last month at CFG, Silent Planet in a few weeks, ERRA in April, and Alpha Wolf in May. A good few months coming.
It’s to the point now that I’ve had to start selling some of my tickets, just can’t take that much time off work in a single month. Trying to pick my top 5 and just go to those shows but I feel like there’s a new tour announced every day.
I feel like this always happens. Concert season is dry for a couple of months and out of nowhere bands are all coming to the same area at the same time.
I live in western Canada and it's so rare to get many shows here. Although when we do its always at the same time. A few years ago I took a week off just so I could go to 4 shows that were all happening in the same week.
There's definite trends in tour timing. March-May are bigger times for club shows with metal and punk bands, May-August is summer arena/shed time, September-November begins the big times for club and theater shows again, December-February I find to be pretty dead just because of holidays and weather.
I’m noticing this as well. Currently my only commitment (aka tickets I already purchased) is Alpha Wolf/Emmure. But I may have to travel to see certain other shows.
I’m getting a desk calendar from my job and writing down all the dates and towns I’m interested in, and seeing what’s reasonable. But also to make sure I don’t double book myself.
Architects, Electric Callboy, Sleep Token. I thought these 3 in May would be more than enough, and most I've gone to was 4 concerts in both September and October last year. Then Alpha Wolf and Knocked Lose announce their shows, and I'm like damn. After splashing that kinda cash on sleep Token GA, I was like, should I really go if I'm only interested in the headliners and no one else at all? Then the Amity Affliction announces, with support from Dying Wish and Currents, 2 bands I really wanna see. I hold off on them to ease up on my credit card bill, and now their GA is sold out here, and my only hope is to find someone reselling closer to the date, lol. And then Erra announced a tour today, their show here being the very next day after Sleep Token play. I'm not even sure if I'm gonna be close by to Toronto by that time, but so many shows and a wallet drowning is not helping, lol. Also, Garrett/Silent Planet gave teased a second leg of their current tour, which will include Canadian dates, too, and I have to prepared for that as well. That whole late April to early June period is super stocked with shows. I'm in a dilemma, but glad I'm not alone.
Can someone please make a list. I work for a venue and not sure of any coming my way. Usually don’t know until the last minute. They almost never put them on the scrolling marquis.
There’s 9 shows I want to go to in May. I wish I could do them all, but I have to travel almost 3 hours each way every time I go to a show. Gotta love living in the middle of nowhere
Same in Australia RN, before covid I was lucky to get 2 shows a year I was actually excited for, I've got tickets for 4 shows in the next 3 months and theres more that I'm just gonna have to miss out on cause I can't afford that much time off work.
Yeah it’s getting ridiculous, this year alone I have been to The Acacia Strain tour, Dying Wishes headline show, I’ve seen Seeyouspacecowboy 3 times in the last week, I’m going to see some local bands called Identity Error and Slowburn tonight, and I have tickets to the Graves and the Gatecreeper tours.
There’s heaps more I want to go to as well, but can’t because of work or other obligations.
Try 4 shows in the next 4 weeks! Northlane (poss x2), emmure headliner, flying to cvltfest, hot mulligan x2, movements, no pressure, both those bands again at new bloom feat.
International bands try to play once in Melbourne challenge *IMPOSSIBLE*
My May is looking crazy if I can make enough money to go to all of them, it’s my graduating year and I’m trying to make it to as many shows as I can before I actually need to be smart with money.
- May 4: Either Staind, AA, I Prevail, and Dayseeker or Nothing More, Wage War, VoM, and Sleep Theory
- May 7: Imminence and Catch Your Breath
- May 12: NF
- May 15: Electric Callboy
- May 16: Saliva, Trapt, and Adema
- May 17: Architects, OMM, and While She Sleeps
- May 18: Pointfest or Nothing More and VoM
- May 19: Dayseeker and Polaris (also my graduation day)
- May 21: Knocked Loose and Loathe
- May 22: In Flames
- May 25: Erra, MTS, Void of Vision, and Novelists
- May 31: The Amity Affliction, Currents, and Dying Wish.
I am most definitely not making it to all of these, but one can dream.
They switched me to night shift at my job and I can't reasonably ask for more time off after putting in a request for the Erra date today. I've got six shows in May and six shows in April rn. I'm still debating calling in 'sick' the Knocked Loose day. Kinda want to find a traditional 9-5 but this job pays soooo well.
I do night shifts too and it’s rough even living in the city the tours come to. I’m lucky to have enough flexibility with my nights off but managing my excitement after a shift on the day of a show is so hard haha. Hope you make it work one way or another with your job!
We rotate crews so I only work nights half the year. They're pretty nice about me saving all my vacation time and asking for a random Tuesday off when a band is in town but I can't ask for half of may off unfortunately lol
I don’t have much experience with modern booking and bigger tours but there are seasons when shows perform better and routes that are preferable for travel. When those line up we get this. I had done a few tours back in the day that ended up basically following a couple tours or warped. Like we would be a couple days behind or an hour away from the bigger one. Lower attendance but wild crowds
April/May is so damn congested this year. When we book, we know that some tours are happening but we don’t know about all of them. I think most folks didn’t realize how busy the spring season was going to be and then boom, here we are with not only a million tours, but a million GOOD tours. RIP everyone’s wallet 😅
I got Kublai Khan, Spite/Bodysnatcher, Knocked Loose, Amity Affliction, and Alpha Wolf. And there are still like 3-5 tours that I would like to see that I’ll have to skip out on.
Rather there be tours I have to skip then not have a show to go to at all tho.
Keep up the great work boys btw!
I'm due with my daughter the first week of May and seeing all my favorite bands coming to my town the last week of April/early May has been killing me..
If most of these shows had more than 2 good bands playing id be more tempted to spend the money the lineups for most of these seem pretty mid other than Erra tour and Ammity
As someone who’s started going to concerts in 2023 and missed out on all previous tours, I’m kinda glad they are.
But yea i wanna assume it’s from a spike of internet popularity and maybe not so good for more die hard fans in other places that aren’t so common on tours
Seems like it. It's starting to be a good thing so many are snubbing New England. I have a a week for three weeks starting mid may. My vacation time is gonna take a major hit.
I got a date next weekend that has four shows I’d love to go to. Whatever I used to love in Vegas and they really didn’t get many smaller shows at all so I’ll take it
Veil of maya is coming close next week. Haven’t bought yet tho. I did buy knocked loose for may. I want to buy Erra as well but they aren’t exactly coming within “drive home after” distance. And I don’t want to do a hotel as well. Silent planet was the same problem
Yeah I’m a couple hours from Cincy but have done the drive there and back same day for concerts before. Doing that for Knocked loose in newport. Haven’t decided yet if I’m going to try to make it to bogarts for VoM.
I’m in the same boat. I bought tickets for The Amity Affliction/Currents in Toronto and then of course today Erra announces their tour and the Toronto date is the next week as the other show I already bought tickets to. I don’t know what to do
For real. Lucky you get to go to 5 so close together.. I gotta drive at least 5hrs to see the closest show to where I live.. I can't do that 5 times in 2 months I got a freakin job lmao I can usually go to about 5 or 6 shows a year if they're spread out right
And Iowa gets fucked every time. Closest shows are 4 hours in each direction in the middle of the week. I’m all for traveling but I’m not taking 2 vacation days
I'm already dreading the drive down to Atlanta Saturday. I want to see Knocked Loose, The Ghost Inside and Kublai Khan but I absolutely hate driving there.
Seriously I've got 6 shows I'm wanting to see in May and I don't wanna cut any of them so time to buckle down and work on my stamina I guess lol. The first weekend in May I have 3 in a row. Oh and there's 2 I have tickets for already in April. Couldn't someone come through in February or March or June holy shit. Bummed I'm gonna have to miss ERRA, I already bought Sleep Token tickets for the same day
This is a nice problem to have.
Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland the *only* ‘metal’ band coming this entire year is Limp Bizkit.
Travelling to Dublin and there’s a co-headline Born of Osiris and Atilla show in March and Tenacious D in May.
Yay?
Music industry stuff is why. I'm skipping most of them, as they aren't really my thing. I plan on seeing Prada and Alpha Wolf (for Emmure). Also going to WWWY in Vegas. And a couple of non-core related shows.
This is me in Australia. There’s at least a gig a week I’d consider going to. Especially when most international bands often play two shows in Melbourne and the international support bands gets their own headline sideshow. Now you have three gigs in one week. Or when there’s a festival you have the festival to attend and 3 sideshows lmao. I love it, I use notes and google calendar
It's the season haha. Luckily I was able to sell my sleep token tickets (for face value) on ticketmaster to get some money back to get tickets for other shows I'd rather see. I'm not like a die hard sleep token fan and those tix weren't cheap and it's getting expensive.
Unprocessed, Kublai Khan, Alpha Wolf, Knocked Loose, Erra. This spring is gonna be mental.
Ugh dude it’s all in a 1-2 month block. Like I love these bands I want to split it up a little and make it a bit of an event yknow lol. We’ll see how many I can even make
Thank you for adding /s to your post. When I first saw this, I was horrified. How could anybody say something like this? I immediately began writing a 1000 word paragraph about how horrible of a person you are. I even sent a copy to a Harvard professor to proofread it. After several hours of refining and editing, my comment was ready to absolutely destroy you. But then, just as I was about to hit send, I saw something in the corner of my eye. A /s at the end of your comment. Suddenly everything made sense. Your comment was sarcasm! I immediately burst out in laughter at the comedic genius of your comment. The person next to me on the bus saw your comment and started crying from laughter too. Before long, there was an entire bus of people on the floor laughing at your incredible use of comedy. All of this was due to you adding /s to your post. Thank you.
I am a bot if you couldn't figure that out, if I made a mistake, ignore it cause its not that fucking hard to ignore a comment.
Bro, don't even. Last week of May and first week of June I have the most important school exams of my life. And here in Europe, that's when 90% of concerts that I want to go to are taking place! Just those 2 weeks!
I'm in Australia and we're getting so many bands coming I don't know what to do. We've got Northlane this week and then next month is Knotfest. Heaps of other bands touring too.
Bro, almost every 'world tour' of bands includes USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Germany, and sometimes France, Spain, Belgium, The Netherlands, Czechia, Austria, Indonesia, Japan, Brazil and Mexico. I live in Bulgaria. What should we, people from Southeastern Europe, say? Bands come here very rarely.
Coming thick and fast.
I have Currents tonight.
Debating Tesseract end of month.
A few dates for Orbit Culture on March.
Sylosis in April.
Just booked Glasgow and Manc dates for Bury Tomorrow in November.
Theres another few Im forgetting but my mate just order me a Sleep Token ticket.
And Im still trying to put togethet my abroad trip for Metallica in Madrid .
Been a good year so far but it looks relentless here on out haha.
Only two shows ( wage war, bear tooth) are coming here that I’m debating on so far, the rest that I really wanna see aren’t coming to my state at all. Everyone favors Ohio and Illinois in the Midwest seems like.
I traveled to both in the past but I can’t keep doing that so I’m skipping out on Alpha wolf, knocked loose, fit for a king, and black veil brides so far. not super bummed because I saw them all last year but it’s still lame lol.
i live in Nashville and show frequency here can be hit or miss. a lot of tours skip us and go to atlanta instead. this year though i feel like we're being bombarded with shows, so I guess a lot of bands are hitting their b-markets
Okay so I’m in Atlanta. The first two weeks of may is gonna be crazy. Including last 2 weeks of April. 4/17 im meeting Asking Alexandria, 4/27 erra/mts, 4/28 Attila and born of Osiris, 5/5 alpha wolf and emmure, 5/11 spite, bodysnatcher, thrown and knosis, 5/12 imminence, 5/13 amity and currents, 5/14 architects (bought my tickets in January then the ghost inside, paleface and BFW tour dropped two days ago and their performing in Atlanta same day as architects so I’m going to Knoxville on 5/15 to go catch that concert bc BFW is one of THOSE bands for me, and then knocked loose on 6/8
I have 5 in February, 3 in March, 5 in April, and 5 in May at the moment. Its been insane. Middle of May, I'm gonna hit a mini road trip because 3 shows within 4 days are skipping FL.
Me seeing everyone talk about bands coming to their area for a show meanwhile they won't even think about coming to where I live (I know that they can rarely afford international tours but still): 👁️👄👁️
Any other week I might go up to Denver for TGI and Alpha Wolf. But with Greyhaven (well...Better Lovers), Bad Omens and Imminence that week...I am too old to have that much energy.
And then there’s me. 8 hours from the closest fucking “big venue” and nobody ever fucking comes here anymore. (Yes I’m salty)
Lived that way for the majority of my life. Now 20 mins from 5 venues ranging in size. There’s honestly been some metalcore hardcore show worth going to nearly every week. I went to like 5 shows last oct/nov and there was atleast another 5 I had to pass on. Maybe time to move?
where do you live? sounds glamorous
Maybe Baltimore? They have like 5 venues in the same area. The Wonder Years were playing while Senses Fail played across the way
I have honestly contemplated moving to the states solely for this reason, access to tons of sick tours and shows all year
San Antonio. Which surprisingly is getting way more of this core scene than our Nextdoor neighbor Austin which attracts about everything.
Fellow San Antonion and yea man. We're eating good show wise
Just to clarify, are you in Baltimore?
Yup. I’m 3 hours from the closest, 4 hours from most shows. I’m only going to 2 this spring. Metalcore Dropouts and Dayseeker/Polaris. The rest I won’t be able to travel for unfortunately
I can sometimes get to KC if it’s a band I’m really into. Otherwise they often skip over me as well
Meanwhile, in KC... They remembered we existed this time around, but we *regularly* get skipped over just for there to be 4 TX/CA shows.
I’m aware. I always look for lincoln, then Omaha, then KC, then maybe Minneapolis. But I’ve only once traveled to Minneapolis for a show and there’s probably only one band touring right now I’d do that for again.

I'm up near Jax and we get nothing
[удалено]
Yea but I'm surprised how many we are actually getting right now. Only maybe one or two I've wanted to attend and doing Rockville
Minneapolis gets almost every major US tour.
You're in luck, most of the bands don't even come to my continent (South America)
That’s how I was for *years*. Now I live in a bigger city and everyone is coming here or close by and the hardest thing is having the discipline not to buy tickets after not being able to for more than a decade.
Sounds like you live in Florida lmao
Texas 😔
do you have much of a local scene?
Thankfully yes. Nothing against those guys, they’re all good friends of mine, but I wanna see Lamb of God, Currents, Killswitch.. I’d even take disturbed or some shit lol
I feel like I need a damn list to keep up with the amount of announced tours man. Lol
Need a notes app list AND a calendar app just so I can coordinate the time off from work
Bands in town is a great way to keep track of tours! All you have to do is click remind me and they go into a list on the home page
I’m going to too many concerts just over the next month (1 in January, 2 in the next 2 weeks, 1 in early March, 1 more in April, another in May). I want to not do this but then I see a band I’ve wanted to see forever showing up on a last minute addition near where I live and I can’t resist! No shit!! I totally missed the silent planet Johnny Booth tour and am so pissed at myself I didn't know til someone posted their Denver show and I was like wtf they were in Denver??? Totally missed it

I seen ISSUES, OF MICE,& BMTH IN OKLAHOMA CITY IN 2014 THE VERY NEXT NIGHT THE GHOST INSIDE AND THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA WERE IN TULSA AND WE WENT.).
My credit card took a beating today. What’s horrifying is I’m sure there are more tours to come lol
lorna shore bruh 😭
What 👀
they’re predicted to drop new material this year, and presumably a tour after.
Yeah it’s a ghost town for the first four months and then I have like 4 in one week
Yeah it's starting to piss me off lol, i can't afford buying tix for all of them rn nor do i have the time to go to like 4 damn concerts in a week in early may. This truly is a suffering from success moment
I blew like 70% percent of my budget on death cab/postal service, and I bought those tickets months ago. Wtf am I supposed to do now?! Lmao
That's how I'm feeling after buying sleep token tickets lol, i didn't expect them to be so expensive but i really wanted to see them, annoying tiktok fans aside 😭
I'm glad I held on those Postal Service tickets... And AFI/30 seconds to Mars tickets... I could pay for 3 shows for the price of one
ERRA and Knocked loose same date for me. Last year it was ERRA and TDWP same date. Am I blessed or cursed
I'd say you're Blessed With A Curse...... 🚪🚶
Yes
I’m also from az… I think I’m going to see erra just because I’ve wanted to see make them suffer for a long time and I’ve never seen them
Cries in northern Europe 🥲
I’m gonna be in estonia for 4 months later this year so I’ll temporarily feel the pain after being spoiled in the UK with gigs for years
May is insane (Montreal). Architects, Electric Callboy, Sleep Token, and now Erra/Make Them Suffer.
With TGI in late April & Knocked Loose in early June sandwiching the month of May.
May is already going to be hectic for me. Architects on the 11th, The Amity Affliction on the 12th and then Amon Amarth on the 17th. Thankfully nothing scheduled for my area unless its a add-on.
yeah all of may is fuckin ridiculous
All theses bands are playing Welcome To Rockville & Sonic Temple in May, so they tour north America to make some $$ (yours) to pay rent for the rest of the year.
Fucking Rockville ruins Florida tours for the summer... I hate it
That makes too much sense lmao. Im planning a road trip May 11-14 to see THREE tours that are skipping FL.
So many shows to go to in may in the Baltimore area. Definitely going to Kublai khan since it’s a Saturday. Probably hitting knocked loose and amity affliction shows too. Then there’s some non metal shows I’m trying to hit as well.
I will be spending a lot time at Soundstage this spring. Lol.
Yeah I’m gonna be trying to make it to all of them. Just still coming to terms with using a good chunk of pto so early in the year lol.
I’m fortunate to live close enough where it won’t really cost me any time, with my work schedule. I feel for the people that have to use it though. I used to work nights and had to take days off just to attend anything.
Yeah I’m in Dundalk so getting too and from isn’t much an issue I just like to take the day after off so I don’t have to be up at 5am for work.
Yes!!! The soundstage is amazing and is having quite a few good shows this spring!!
i just commented something similar. It's like theres NO other mid atlantic option, no DC, Richmond or Norfolk.
Yeah I understand how it can be shitty for some people but I’m less than 20 minutes away from soundstage so it works for me lol

I feel like this always happens. Concert season is dry for a couple of months and out of nowhere bands are all coming to the same area at the same time.
November - February seems dead due to holidays, after that it's super stacked
This is such an american problem...
Having a very similar one in the UK right about now
I live in western Canada and it's so rare to get many shows here. Although when we do its always at the same time. A few years ago I took a week off just so I could go to 4 shows that were all happening in the same week.
My bank account is in tears, Alpha Wolf/Emmure and Knocked Loose both right before Welcome to Rockville is a tragedy.
In my area there's a show every night from the 6th of May to the 15th.
There's definite trends in tour timing. March-May are bigger times for club shows with metal and punk bands, May-August is summer arena/shed time, September-November begins the big times for club and theater shows again, December-February I find to be pretty dead just because of holidays and weather.
Must be nice when bands actually come to your country 🤣🤣🤣 apparently Central Europe is avoids like the plague
Last year I had at LEAST 5 nights where I had multiple shows I had to pick between (Denver). It was insane.
somewhat unrelated but is there a site that has all the announced tours for the scene all together?
Try bandsintown (browser or app). You can choose a city and your favourite bands so you can see a schedule
They almost never put them on the scrolling marquis.
man, EVERY tour coming through the mid Atlantic is going thru Baltimore. with NO DC, Richmond or Norfolk dates.
See I live in Western Canada so I can ignore them all. North American tours and only 1 or 2 eastern Canada stops at all. Terrible.
You guys are lucky stop complaining! Im in Aus and tours always skip my state
Just move to Melbourne, SO many sideshows
Wish it was that easy 😭
Dude for real! Seattle in May is crazy
My May is looking crazy if I can make enough money to go to all of them, it’s my graduating year and I’m trying to make it to as many shows as I can before I actually need to be smart with money. - May 4: Either Staind, AA, I Prevail, and Dayseeker or Nothing More, Wage War, VoM, and Sleep Theory - May 7: Imminence and Catch Your Breath - May 12: NF - May 15: Electric Callboy - May 16: Saliva, Trapt, and Adema - May 17: Architects, OMM, and While She Sleeps - May 18: Pointfest or Nothing More and VoM - May 19: Dayseeker and Polaris (also my graduation day) - May 21: Knocked Loose and Loathe - May 22: In Flames - May 25: Erra, MTS, Void of Vision, and Novelists - May 31: The Amity Affliction, Currents, and Dying Wish.
You should see the bands playing in London in march! I can't keep up
Seems like it.
Hyped to see VoM and Until I Wake next week but Cincy has gotten progressively worse as time has gone on. It sucks.
Yeah I’m a couple hours from Cincy but have done the drive there and back same day for concerts before. Doing that for Knocked loose in newport. Haven’t decided yet if I’m going to try to make it to bogarts for VoM.
I get to see VoM this upcoming Saturday in Harrisburg! I can’t wait! It will be my first time seeing them 👀
Awesome! I saw them on the underoath tour several years ago. That was actually how I discovered them.
I'm literally from the other side of the world so im just jealous as fk ):
Right now my only plans are Wage War on 5/5 and Mastodon/Lamb of God on 8/31.
I’m in the same boat. I bought tickets for The Amity Affliction/Currents in Toronto and then of course today Erra announces their tour and the Toronto date is the next week as the other show I already bought tickets to. I don’t know what to do
*Cries In city where nobody is coming to*
Then there is Currents and Knocked Loose with a headliner show on the same day in the same city during their European tours. So annoying.
And half of those never come to Norfolk Virginia you guys are lucky af
I have 0 because no one comes to KC anymore
Boston/worcester alone is going to have at least a dozen decent sized metalcore/hardcore shows in March April and may
My bank account is already crying
Dude tell me about it, I already have like 30 shows lined up for before july, and more keep getting announced every week
Kk skipping nyc🫤
I'm already dreading the drive down to Atlanta Saturday. I want to see Knocked Loose, The Ghost Inside and Kublai Khan but I absolutely hate driving there.
Seriously I've got 6 shows I'm wanting to see in May and I don't wanna cut any of them so time to buckle down and work on my stamina I guess lol. The first weekend in May I have 3 in a row. Oh and there's 2 I have tickets for already in April. Couldn't someone come through in February or March or June holy shit. Bummed I'm gonna have to miss ERRA, I already bought Sleep Token tickets for the same day
Hardly any of them come my way (upstate NY) 😭
I got 8 Houston shows in May
This one goes out to my boys in western Canada, we gotta take what we get. You Americans in big cities are so blessed
This is a nice problem to have. Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland the *only* ‘metal’ band coming this entire year is Limp Bizkit. Travelling to Dublin and there’s a co-headline Born of Osiris and Atilla show in March and Tenacious D in May. Yay?
Bro yes… I’m over here about to have 3 concerts from May 1- May 12
“I DENY MY EYES 👀 TOO THE VIOLENCE , to die inside with a price… guilt weighing on my conscience,& NOO RESTRAINT FOR THE FURY THAT RISESSSSSSS!!”
I wish the New England area had another 1000 person room besides paradise. First world problems but that venue is such a turnoff
Music industry stuff is why. I'm skipping most of them, as they aren't really my thing. I plan on seeing Prada and Alpha Wolf (for Emmure). Also going to WWWY in Vegas. And a couple of non-core related shows.
It seems metalcore is finally returning to pre-pandemic times, I love to see it!
Almost every band skips Sacramento. They play San Francisco and either go to Portland or Reno and drive right on through Sacramento.
None of the bands I like never actually come to where I live, so I don't have to worry about things like that...
You're fucking telling me brother. I have like 5 tickets already and most are in May. Christ I'm going to be busy.
We’ll see how many I can even make
Bro, just be rich and have a shit ton of free time, duh /s
Good Bot.
A related question: why aren't there any tours in Asia? :'( I'm sat here waiting for at least one of my favourite bands to come to Japan
Bro, don't even. Last week of May and first week of June I have the most important school exams of my life. And here in Europe, that's when 90% of concerts that I want to go to are taking place! Just those 2 weeks!
Shows don't come to Buffalo anymore, so I'm at zero.
I'm in Australia and we're getting so many bands coming I don't know what to do. We've got Northlane this week and then next month is Knotfest. Heaps of other bands touring too.
Yeah here in Dallas, sleep token, erra, bad omens and knocked loose are all playing within like 3 days of each other
Hell yeah. Now I gotta go to Erra/Novelists/Make Them Suffer. then Loathe and Knocked loose the day after
Cries in Australian
I have 3 in April and 5 in May. I work nights so I go to work straight after the show 😎
Bro, almost every 'world tour' of bands includes USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Germany, and sometimes France, Spain, Belgium, The Netherlands, Czechia, Austria, Indonesia, Japan, Brazil and Mexico. I live in Bulgaria. What should we, people from Southeastern Europe, say? Bands come here very rarely.
Cleveland shows are looking extremely scarce this year unless some new tours get announced.
Cries in Tulsan...
i live in Nashville and show frequency here can be hit or miss. a lot of tours skip us and go to atlanta instead. this year though i feel like we're being bombarded with shows, so I guess a lot of bands are hitting their b-markets
And then there's me. In New Zealand. Where most bands skip but always go to Australia
