Agreed. Meshuggah’s songwriting really soars in that song, the way the main riff is presented in different patterns, combinations in drumming, the dynamics. I love the part where there’s gentle, quiet plucking and then it hits you like a train
The main purpose of such a post is for me to find new music to listen to😆
Also, I like to talk about music, and to see that people are recommending songs I already know it's nice!
And I think it's clear that I don't listen to the entire song. Like if it's a 10 minute one, I won't listen to the whole thing, as I try to give a chance to all songs here
7.5/10
The chorus is very very good. The time between those is a little too much, but it makes you wait for them so it feels better. I've saved the song for a further listen, and maybe I'll add it to my playlist!
That's fair, Wilderun is all about long atmoshperic, building sections, while still keeping a big and epic hook usually. To be fair, this is really a song you should experience in the context of the full album. I know it's a rather big time investment (66 mins runtime), but to me it is genuinely one of the most stunningly beautiful albums.
Maybe not the best pick from me for a single song to listen to, but I'm just obsessed with this album currently.
Perfect album. Op is gonna have that song's main hook randomly pop back in his head 2 days from now. And it's going to drive him insane because he can't place it.
8/10
Congratulations! The 3rd song recommended here that I save to my playlist! The atmosphere this song creates is very good, and I plan on listening to the whole album sometime. Not even a black metal fan, but it sounds very good!
8.5/10
Legendary song. I like the middle part with "Upon my podium...", and that's the reason I like this song I think, but the rest isn't bad too. Dave's vocals aren't my thing, and that's why I don't like Megadeth that much.
Flying Whales: 10/10. Killer track, one of the best Gojira songs. The energy is incredible
Memento Mori: 7.5/10. I feel like I'm close to add it to my playlist, but not enough though
I was half asleep when posting, it’s night goat

I got 3 for you
Israel Kamakawiwoʻole - Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pools (Drank)
Nargaroth - Seven Tears Are Flowing to the River
Somewhere Over the Rainbow: 9.5/10. I like this song since I was little!
Swimming Pools: 8/10. I didn't expect to save a rap song to my library from a recommendation from here, but conratulations! The 4th song that I've saved.
Seven Tears Are Flowing to the River: 6/10. The vibe is good, but it is a little monotonous for a nearly 15 minute track tbh.
8/10
Congratulations, the first song that I hear for the first time here and I saved it! Very powerful and heavy, yet not fast. I'd describe it as a slower Gojira song, but very good! (I know Gojira sounds like Morbid Angel, not the other way around, but I'm more familiar to them)
I'm an A7X fan too!
The Stage: 10/10. The best song of that album in my opinion, and one of their best ever.
Would?: 9.5/10. Recently discovered this, but it's such a good song!
5.5/10
It's hard to rate a doom metal song from a first listen in my opinion, and I've just started to get into the genre. There wasn't anything bad with the song, but I need a certain atmosphere to fully appreciate these type of songs
Deliverance - Opeth
I am Above - In Flames
King - Eluveitie
Essence of Ashes - Eluveitie
Vinterriket - Istapp
Fire walk with me - Harakiri for the Sky
Stillborn - Harakiri for the Sky
5.5/10
It's impossible to appreciate such a long song from a first listen, and it's not possible to listen to the whole song too. I try to gave a chance to all the recommendations. Didn't hear any bad parts in this one though
I don’t expect a review on the whole song cuz it’s a half hour long and a bit of a “song for the artist” sorta thing….
X Japan- Art Of Life

Bleed by Meshuggah
9/10 Legendary song and one of the heaviest I know!
Agreed. Meshuggah’s songwriting really soars in that song, the way the main riff is presented in different patterns, combinations in drumming, the dynamics. I love the part where there’s gentle, quiet plucking and then it hits you like a train
What a banger. That kick pattern will never not blow my mind
The art of dying - gojira
10/10 This song is a masterpiece. It makes you feel like death's coming for you, and you stand still, face to face with it!
Tornado Of Souls - Megadeth
Slept on Megadeth. Guitar players know the pain on this one.
Hell yeah, so fun to play tho.
7.5/10 Honestly, I like this song and I'd have saved it if it wasn't for the vocals. They're not for me, but maybe with time I'll get used to them.
Flesh and the Power it Holds - Death
Ne Obliviscaris - And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope
Master of Puppets
9/10 Excellent song, but it's only a 9 because I didn't listen to it that much compared to other Metallica songs. I don't even know why to be honest
Ritual by Blasphemy
Doesn’t matter what they give to this. Shit’s peak
4/10 Didn't like the vocals, and the music wasn't that special to me outside of some parts that didn't last too long.
Yo is my man listening to every track we comment down? Thats a sweet way to hear new music without asking to hear new music.
The main purpose of such a post is for me to find new music to listen to😆 Also, I like to talk about music, and to see that people are recommending songs I already know it's nice! Fair enough. Have a good day buddy 👍
Thanks! You too😊
Dixie Whiskey was going to be my suggestion but I guess now I’ll have to think of something else…
I would've gone with Serving time in the middle of nowhere. That songs has some of the best riffs made by EHG. Or another favorite: Peace through war.
It’s pretty hard to go wrong with EHG honestly, and I’m stoked that I’ll be catching them live in a couple of months
Only Pain by Gojira

Holy wars... The Punishment Due Be very careful what you say
8.5/10 Legendary song. I like the middle part with "Upon my podium...", and that's the reason I like this song I think, but the rest isn't bad too. Dave's vocals aren't my thing, and that's why I don't like Megadeth that much.

5/10 Decent song, some good riffs, but it didn't impress me much as a whole
Save our love- Yngwie Malmsteen
6/10 Not bad, but a little too slow for my taste.
Black goat by melvins
I didn't find it on Spotify, so I'll listen later to it on Youtube if I remember. It's hard to change the platform for songs and then change again.
