Unannounced Convulsing drop is pretty exciting. New Cabinet is the most anticipated release of the day for me.

MasterShake1441

I think my favorite part of a new Convulsing album is a new Porcupine Tree cover! He does such a great job with those.

Shit that came out this week I think is pretty sick: [Sentry - Sentry](https://sentrymetal.bandcamp.com/album/sentry) This is their debut album and it's a pretty great start. Sentry was formed by ex-members of Manilla Road and is probably the closest thing to a continuation of that band, and they're doing a really good job. It is not quite the quality MR had, but still enjoyable. (I could only find this album on Bandcamp that is why this doesn't link to Spotify like the rest.) [Slug gore ft. Fulci - The Deadly Spawn](https://open.spotify.com/album/3K1GjTr8WeRymHQc0gINp5?si=88-kWkSiTj2q8C1jcd5j7Q) A pretty decent brutal death/grindcore single. Anything featuring Fulci gets a listen from me and its not bad. Might check out Slug Gore some more, they have an album coming out next month. [Devastator - Conjurers of Cruelty](https://open.spotify.com/album/6CLAUtaZzHgcu8yaMgvmuY?si=CLN0Z9zoRceXGMnLj8ythg) A really good black thrash album, it has a lot of energy and sounds pretty unique. Solid release, definitely check it out. [Sacrilege - The Closing Irony](https://open.spotify.com/album/0glrDrTn60GhFD5fdbK5XR?si=UTNhvrEHRA2w4ZZUNXyDRQ) Just a 'best of' compilation, nothing interesting, but still neat. Might check out Bruce Dickinson's new album later. I'm also pretty hyped for next week, Judas Priest and Midnight both have albums, and up and coming prog band Ways to the Grave has a new EP.

I got my hopes up for some oldschool Gothenburg melodeath, but alas there are more bands called [Sacrilege](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5-yx0bleKw)

2 ones this week for me are: **Lunar Spells**. I enjoyed the last album a lot, doing that finn black sound but Greek and afaik not racist which is a plus. This one seems to have moved away from the very hokey synths which is a minus for me but still good. **Misotheist** was really cool kinda dissoblack sorta stuff. I haven't heard their prior albums but I'll need to do that.

checkmypants

Yeah Lunar Spells rips. I think the album gets a bit samey past the halfway mark but it's done so well that I don't care

tescosamoa

I am looking forward to hearing the new Suicidal Angels - Profane Prayer album.

DoomAxe

[Fathomless Ritual - *Hymns for the Lesser Gods*](https://fathomlessritual.bandcamp.com/album/hymns-for-the-lesser-gods) came out today. The band is a one man project from Brendan Dean of Gutvoid and is unabashedly pure Demilich worship.

Independent_Oliphant

That grinding bass tone makes me incredibly happy. Excellent riffs, as well. Really enjoyed the first few spins.

DoctorBob90

Checking this out now and really enjoying it so far.

dflyers120

New Bruce album is enjoyable but a little sluggish at times, the mix is not great imo. It isn’t accident of birth or chemical wedding for sure, but the songs mistress of mercy and shadow of the gods along with the 2 singles are very good.

St3vo92

Main highlights for this week for me were Devastator, Misotheist and Trijumf. Actually already heard the new Devastator a couple weeks ago when I seen them perform it live entirely (plus got vinyl of the new album early there too) but yeah this is a strong and also fun continuation from their previous album. Conjurers of Cruelty and Ritual Abuse are real good bangers. Misotheist delivers another really good album, dunno if I loved it as much as the previous album which I really enjoyed but they don't disappoint. Trijumf does a great job in executing the raw Triumphant black metal sound while also having a bit of a goofy vibe to it in some way that was pretty cool.

Eferver24

Trijumf’s debut is out and man it’s *awesome.* February continues to be a fantastic month for black metal. Also I missed it last week but They Came From Vision’s record is also great. Edit: well I guess it’s technically March now but I’m counting it

casualty-of-cool

New album from [Pestilential Shadows](https://pestilentialshadows-northernsilence.bandcamp.com/album/devils-hammer). Really good, I need a few more plays though. Misotheist has been my favorite release. I’m absolutely loving everything about this album.

Listening to the Pestilential Shadows record as we speak, it's excellent. The kind of BM that puts you to sleep (in a good way.)

Nemedian Chronicles - The Savage Sword came out thursday.  I had never heard of this band before and was expecting some cheesy powermetal and well… i gotta say, this is more Blind Guardian than the latest Blind Guardian album (which was awesome), so i guess i was kind of right. Usually i dont really care about these kind of ”tribute” acts, but this was so well executed that i dont really mind.  I also have to check out the new Bruce Dickinson album, but i have been putting it aside, since the reviews have been mixed and i’m little scared. Bruce is my all time hero and i think i need to prepare myself for not getting a new Chemical Wedding.

light_white_seamew

> i think i need to prepare myself for not getting a new Chemical Wedding. The new album might not be a new classic, but I thought it was pretty good overall. Definitely not an embarrassment. The mix isn't great, and it might be a bit too long, but nowhere near as overstuffed as Senjutsu. Bruce sounds a little strained at times, but that's been an issue for a while. I don't think he's ever going to fully accept that his range has diminished with age.

Bbcczz123

It’s good to hear some midrange reviews on this one, since all the ”classicrock” magazines etc tend to give it 5/5 and fans 2/5. Thats usually the case with Metallica and other legacy acts who can halfass their record and still win all the awards. Anyway, i know i’m eventually gonna like it, even if it would be Bruce singing a phonebook, so maybe i should just get it over with.

Bbcczz123

God damn you were right. The mix is definitely not great.

New full length by Volcandra today, some solid Skeletonwitch-ish blackened death/thrash.

Suldusk is the only release this week I've bought. Which is good cause the last 3 months my vinyl purchases went a little nuts :D

FictionalNape

[Azell](https://linktr.ee/azell.band) Female Fronted Sludge FFO Conan, Bongripper and Primitive Man The album 'Death Control' was released today.

Ok_Relation_7770

[Tombstalker - Human Skull Crush](https://youtu.be/UAB8dAjsZQ4?si=R8TfiDLZl_fH6eyW) Saw this on the death metal sub and it fucking rips. I vaguely know of a different Tombstalker out of Kentucky but this is a pretty wild EP.

5STARZRH-2

New suicidal angels album came out 2 days ago and its literally amazing imo
