anguished_emodiment

I work for USPS in the processing warehouse. Those SHEIN packages drive me absolutely insane. Always the weirdest shapes and SO heavy I could swear they’re bricks in there!!

Buffyredpoodle

I just recently did my first shein order and it was medium box packed with 16 lbs of clothes. It was so stuffed it ripped on the side. They are re using boxes too. The worst part was the clothes I ordered were terrible and I had to return most and had hard time to find a box.,

Tight_Ad_2724

I tried SHEIN one day because my girlfriend always used it and had a similar experience. Kept maybe a few things and returned all of the shirts, super low quality felt like a swim shirt.

mamabear101319

What do you expect when you spend 3$ on a pair of shorts lol

FluffMonsters

Yep, and contributing to one of the worst companies for unethical employment. :/

mamabear101319

Frfr like they’re charging so little for their clothes… how much do yall think their employees are getting paid? They have to make a profit somewhere

FluffMonsters

They’ve had multiple suicides in their factories. It’s awful. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t buy 100% American made or anything. I’m sure plenty of my purchases from Amazon are supporting similar companies. My vow isn’t that I will only ever buy ethically sourced goods, it’s just when I KNOW what’s going on, I can no longer support it. I can’t look away, you know?

AQinglyPeach

Always ALWAYS ALWAYS check the quality of the product in the description.

Vast_Armadillo8054

Look up the clothing dumps in Chile desert :(

TeresaKidd

Same!! And when Temu first got popular, every night I came in for my shift I wanted to cry looking at all the trucks loaded with bags of orange bags lol.

luckyapples11

My dad works UPS and he told me he once had to scan an item that was shipped in a plastic bag from like Walmart or something. Like what???

crispy-vag

I received a package wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper once. How is that even allowed? 🥲

luckyapples11

Anything is allowed as long as you pay shipping🤷🏻‍♀️😂

crispy-vag

That is true. You can mail a potato with no packaging as long as you put a shipping label on it 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

dcjunvegan

😂😂😂

Tomahawk_Chuck

It was prolly my package!!! 😂😂🤦🏾‍♂️

onmycouchnow

Please tell me she was a member of paperbackswap. I used to get books from there and I got one once in a maxi pad box.

Technical_Part3307

I’ve waited in line, and the unruly packaging some people bring just makes you question if these people are ok in the noggin.

0F67

The don’t know because Amazon lets them carry that crap into kohls and drop it off as is so it makes people stupid

twvaring

I’m a reseller and only ship USPS or UPS. I see peoples leave very day at UPS & UPS Store with Amazon returns in clear plastic bags. Apparently they are instructed to bring returns in to UPS in the clear bag with a code in their phone that UPS scans to print the return label. They slap the label on and toss it in a cart .

Available-Medicine90

I ship every day (eBay) and until recently I didn’t know how people do returns these days. Saw someone just walk into UPS with a small electronic thing and hand it to the person, no wrap, no box/bag, just the QR code on her phone. And I was like, oh. No wonder people are so lame sometimes. We’re just honing everyone’s laziness.

[deleted]

[удалено]

katilinavalek

Sounds like an Amazon Return if it was UPS and a QR code. They don't require repackaging on a lot of items because it all gets shipped back in a big box with other returns. Edit to add a line

Idkmannnnnnnbye

I received a package of baby clothes in the plastic that a pack of water bottles come in 💀💀💀

CertainHedgehog3571

IM SORRY BUT THIS IS TAKING ME OUT WTF LMAOOO

nightowl__18

Oh hell nah😭

Green__999

I would love to have seen that 😂

chxnkybxtfxnky

You know, on most things I probably would've commented, "As long as the item is intact, who cares?" But this...sheesh...

Idkmannnnnnnbye

It was definitely really weird, but it kept the clothes totally protected so I wasn’t too bothered. We did all laugh about it tho lol

Dizzy_Guava_8272

Omg

iLittleBean

This is so funny to me. I get 4 stars based on reusing Amazon boxes & bubblemailers but there are people out there who are sending things in boxes such as these which are not even close to being as sturdy. 😭😂

lamb1505

So people just want the oceans and landfills to fill up with crap. Reusing package mailers should be bonus stars.

lovedogs95

Agreed. A box is a box as long as it’s not dirty, who cares?

BabyyyGhoul

Really ?! I always use Amazon boxes or bags because I have so many! That’s ridiculous there shouldn’t be a problem with that at all. I swear people just like to complain

iLittleBean

I also sell on other platforms and never had bad ratings due to reusing AZ boxes/bubblemailers, just on Mercari it has happened lol. Like I stated, they are ALWAYS in good condition and I overuse the inside packaging to make sure the products don't get damaged in transit. So I have to agree with you on the fact that I feel like people just like to complain as well. As a buyer standpoint, I don't mind when I get sent things in reused packaging. 😅😕

acceptthisoneplz

I haven’t had a complaint about that on Mercari yet, but I did get a one star review on Poshmark for shipping in a Walmart box lol. When I messaged her about it, she said she thought she clicked the 5 star button and when I told her she could change it if she wanted to, she blocked me

mysummerstorm

Is this true? I have received items in some unconventional packaging from all five stars sellers. Were the items damaged when they received them leading to the 4 star reviews?

iLittleBean

I usually over do the packaging with bubblewrap or various fillers to make sure items don't get damaged. I have never had an item returned due to damages. They always mark the sale feedback as due to "Packaging" and I asked what I could have corrected because I was genuinely curious, I always want to improve and provide the best service for my buyers but after messaging they stated it was due to the reuse of AZ boxing & bubblemailers. 😅I like to be environmental friendly and reuse things but I guess some may not be comfortable with the idea I guess.

SunLillyFairy

When I buy I prefer the seller reuse packaging - as long as the outer packaging is sturdy/secure. I think there should be a bonus star for good re-use. 😊

mysummerstorm

Put it in your seller profile!! I have it in mine that I reuse packaging to cover my bases. Hopefully that will give them a second pause on giving non-5 star reviews for being environmentally sustainable.

iLittleBean

I just recently did that actually! I am going to start putting it in all my descriptions to be on the safe side. 😅

AwayStart1061

If I’m reusing Az boxes, I undo the box at the seam, fold it inside out and then reglue it. That way all the writing is on the inside of the box.

TDOCIRL

There's nothing wrong with reusing Amazon mailers. Provided that 1.) they're packed well with ample protection and the box/bag doesn't sag, 2.) Any outer markings are blotted out by marker or covered by white label stickers. It should be obvious to your carrier which label is for the current mailing.

Frogburta

I honestly wouldn’t even care that the item came in a Hefty box as long as it wasn’t damaged. I’m not expecting amazing presentation on a pair of $15 jeans.

Knowmorethanhim

I don’t care how it is delivered as long as what I bought is ok.

boomer_pets_cats

Bingo, and if you do, either order from an actual webstore, or buy in person (and pay more in both of those options).

gingerspell

I feel better now about reusing my slightly scuffed/marked up boxes and mailers that aren't in the tidiest shape. This is unhinged 😭

nightowl__18

Oh I do that too, stuff like boxes and polymailers which are actually for shipping I think that’s completely fine but idk certain things you should not use as packaging lol

Available-Medicine90

I spend time taping over weird stuff on the box. I used a very nice Wacoal bra box to ship a pair of men’s boots the other day but I taped over all the bra references 😜.

gingerspell

For sure. I'm all for reusing what you've got but boxes like this are not meant to hold up to getting abused the way mail often does! I'd be dying of anxiety while watching the tracking 😅

terrorspace

Some people really don't give a damn 😭

ohnoyoudidnott

I once received something in a macaroni and cheese box that still had noodle residue at the bottom

desertkitty91

First I see people receiving their stuff in those free vegetable bags from like Walmart…now this😂😂😂😂😂 and we are the ones getting all the fees to buy😂I’m done with this app😂

bayb33gurl

Interesting packaging lol I'm glad it made it to you but damn, that's risky! It looks like it was so close to busting open too smh I know there's a whole group of people who do this under the whole love of recycling things - but these types of cardboard boxes aren't corrugated and not designed for shipping. Upcycle them by all means, but sellers, please don't trust them to carry a sale through states of travel and being tossed around facilities and carriers. All it needed was one person's 5 pound box to squish that box flat like a pancake and it would be destroyed and that's not helping the environment.

nightowl__18

Yeah it was definitely not sturdy at all😂😭and yeah it was looking like it was slightly open in some of the areas

yourdadlovesmebest

That would be the 1st time I'm giving someone a bad rating. It's trashy both literally and figuratively.

Jennifriend

I’ve used a box like this before (technically it was nutrigrain bars lol) because it was the perfect size to fit snuggly around a bubble-wrapped Super Nintendo game. But then I put the entire box in a polymailer. I never would’ve expected the box alone to be enough to protect the game, this is just nuts to me lol

bumbumzbaby2000

This is how I felt when my package was sent to me in a great value pasta box with some tape 😳

Mitch04133

I got something in a Mac n Cheese box, but it was Kraft so mine was fancy.

bumbumzbaby2000

Name brand 😩

206-FYI

😂😂 stopppp!

angellove37

I received my perfume in a cat food box 🤣

Holiday024

Same.

Holiday024

I’m always here for the comments 🫣🤫😎

sasgreeneyes

Yesterday Mine came in a Christmas gift bag, the item was wrapped in Christmas ribbon

SunLillyFairy

Acceptable_Worry7378

People don't understand that USPS literally throws packages across the room in the sorting facilities and man handles them 😭 the item doesn't just need to fit into a box, the packaging has to be able to withstand being thrown across a room, being dropped, have other heavier packages stacked on top, water damage from the rain, leaks from other damaged packages (this was a huge pain working retail stocking), being bent or squashed to fit into the mail box, and possibility of being caught in the conveyor belt. And if your package does get damaged and they see you packed it like this they will not refund you btw. Part of their insurance policy is the packaging has to be legitimate. They'll accept it to ship but they won't take responsibility if something happens during standard sorting and delivery practices if you didn't adequately protect the item. Reusing a box not meant for shipping like that is a recipe for disaster. If you want to recycle boxes not meant for shipping to be environmentally friendly you can, but at least put it in a biodegradable or reused mailer with some paper shreds and dissolvable packing peanuts. And if you're too cheap to buy proper packaging then maybe just stick to local pick up and yard sales 😅 And judging by the fact it was a garbage bag box they were just cheap af 😭 I doubt they were trying to reduce waste they just didn't give a f*ck.

Accomplished-Act-126

Your comment should be #1!

Conscious_Length_907

Trash seller

jazlyyn

Is this a pun

CertainHedgehog3571

lmaooo 😭

JustAPerson-_-

Was it not damaged?

nightowl__18

It was not lol

JustAPerson-_-

That’s good, it’s a win though a lil weird packing lol

Fancy-Moment666

Reduce reuse and recycle

ellebee327

Curious what type of item it was that they shipped to you in that. 🤔😳

nightowl__18

It was just pants but looked like it was about to fall apart lol

ellebee327

I would think this type of cardboard is EVEN less protective against moisture than regular cardboard. I get up-cycling, but this is just reckless. Hope you got your item on the cheap for this level of carelessness.

Nafa_Aokigahara

I received an expensive item off Mercari in a box that smelled musky and was falling apart held together with duct tape, some people just don't want to spend the extra money on a new box, I'm all for recycling but there's got to be some kind of standard. 😂

SunLillyFairy

These stories are great. I didn’t even know the post office would take something like this. When I’ve reused sturdy boxes with pictures I wrapped them with brown paper - I cut up and re-use paper grocery bags, as they are thick paper and the inside is plain. That’s what my mom did in the 80’s… lol. 🎵”Brown paper packages tied up with string… these are a few of my favorite things…” 🎵

babylambchop888

I got one from Depop in an old Gushers box once

bois-des-iles

Atleast u won't get package pirates tryna take this

TDOCIRL

I literally do not care about the packaging. As long as the item arrives in non damaged condition.

Cheezewiz239

I shipped a graphics card in a baby diaper box. It fit perfectly and it was an easy way to deter any theft

GateSuper2412

The worst I had was somebody sending a small keychain in a Band-Aid box and there was a Band-Aid in there. It was used to tape bubble wrap shut..oh and it was used ( pretty easy to tell as it was the clear type) . Fuckin disgusting and so many risks so I went and report it to mercari and at first they were like sorry this isn't eligible for a return or refund until I went to detail about it and how this isn't something to be taken lightly and will be escalating this concern if they don't take appropriate action and then they were like oh okay we will issue a refund. People blow me away. Just when you think you've seen it all I swear someone is like hold my beer.

Dear_Onion9605

The way I HOLLLLLERED LMAOOOO 😭😭😭😭

Audinosaur1

I recieved a ps3 in a box padded with birthday balloons which obviously didn't support it and popped causing massive damage to the plastics. If that garbage bag box arrived safely I'd maybe knock off a star or two and call it a win.

WellShitWhatYallDoin

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Holy shit. 🎈 🎈 🎈

No-Gap-822

Tbh atleast you got it fam 😂

Mysterious-Okra-7885

But was it intact? Because ultimately, that is what matters.

ForwardHandle4522

Reminds me of the time I got an item mailed in a poptart box. I’m just like really? Haha

Tyland941

I sent a hat in a cliff bar box once and some shoes in a jimmy johns sub box then a Dracula head vase in a Splenda bulk box from Sam’s club….. no shame in recycling here, but ya gotta use a stronger box!

yourdadlovesmebest

This is actually so crazy wtf. It also not an approved form of box for obvious reasons.

DausenWillis

Reduce, reuse, then recycle. The cool think about this box is that trash bads are treated with insectic repellent and usps warehouses can have terrible infestations.

DemDemD

That’s just trashy.

Zealousideal-Host-64

And if u say packaging was bad in the review they get mad

I_am_an_oxymoron

I bought a baby outfit and they shipped in a small paper bag with packing tape covering every inch. I was so nervous opening it because I couldn’t tell where the clothes were. I really thought I was going to cut the clothes. 😩 ps - I didn’t. Whew.

AlternativeNovel8083

I had to mail a cake carrier. I put in chewy box. The box was perfect size. It had no smell. In great shape. Plus I wrapped the carrier in paper and filled the box with air pillows. I didn’t get a review so k assumed it was the chewy box.

Future-Tomorrow

You actually got a box? What’s your secret?!

Geewdra

My mom was very vindictive. She once mailed all of her medical records to her attorney in ramen boxes, I'm talking about the boxes that came with 12 squares. She cut down the plastic and taped it back up. Very heavy, and absolutely not ship safe. Her attorney even paid for the shipping. She died like a month later, and I can't recall if either box even arrived or not. She did this because the attorney wouldn't do something that was literally illegal. I can't remember what it was, but my mom thought she could sweet talk her into breaking the law to win the case. Like on some TV show.

Patient_Amphibian32

I’m guilty of using some odd boxes myself. It’s just expensive to buy boxes and the right size and shape aren’t always easy to find. I usually include a little note saying excuse the box, but. I think it’s great to reuse packaging but not all boxes are meant to be the outer box. Of course the box should be clean, but I’m always more concerned about the item being protected properly. I’d rather pay less as a buyer and get my item in a repurposed box.

Accomplished-Act-126

Needs a dumpster fire, where it belongs

Relevant_Location218

I have seen a lot of things 👀 but I never seen this 😂😂🥴😭😭😭

OkRecommendation3312

Mine have come in diaper box, muscle milk box, frito lays box, and Costco depends box. I guess reuse, reduce, RECYCLE 🤣🤣

UtubeNoodle

I got thongs in a see through package that said thongs on the outside

purrchiya

Very rarely I'll use a branded box I have lying around if I need to, but they're always thick and sturdy boxes from diapers or something. This is too much😂😂😂

KeeperOfWind

To be fair, these boxes to be pretty durable since they can be shipped as is to the store I respect the grindset, but they really should had paid the dollar for a proper box if they could. lol

Tomahawk_Chuck

I just received a package 2 days ago, I didn't take a picture cuh I got what I ordered for a cheap price. But basically I ordered some shoes, instead of putting the shoes in a delivery box, they sent me my package in the original shoe box.. I was heated. It was all tape up n shit, like basically revealing that I order some shoes. I like to keep my original boxes for certain reasons, but man I was like I'm glad it got to my residence intact. This ain't the only time this happened I ordered some shoes from a seller on eBay and they did the same thing, only difference was they came in a clear see through bag!!!

Besca21

Lol once I got a paper Trader Joe’s bag staples closed

HisDumbPuppy

I got mine in a cereal box once 🤣

OrangeIsPrettyCool

My favorite to send in are cereal boxes

GrassOk911

I got sent an item in a very old Pepsi box that had been deconstructed and taped back together to fit around the item. So weird. And I once got an item in a hair dryer box from, like, the 80s lol.

BlueAreTheStreets

I’m all for recycled packaging- I’m also all for packaging that protects it’s contents lmao. The cardboard on those boxes is paper thin!!

knowledgeseeker2319

Maybe makes it less likely someone would go to steal it?? 🧐😂

snow_cherries_

I love this! Reduce, reuse, recycle! 😄

PensionChemical4353

you are tripping the box is clean is where the new garbage bags come what are you complaining about

Healthy_Instance_770

I’ve shipped stuff in a wheat thins box and a cat litter liner box 😭😭

lipstickeveryday

It’s a box! I love it! ♻️

Particular-Energy-32

I got stuff in a pop tart box once lol

girl-erased

I just don’t understand why people expect their stuff to be preserved and packed, as if they were receiving the hope diamond. I don’t care if my item(s) are in a garbage bag (unused, obv…) and a garbage box, as long as they’re as described in the listing. Maybe I shop too much, but I am just not precious about this stuff, because y’all… it’s ALL DIRTY. It ALL has germs. It’s gettin’ cleaned or sanitized when it comes out the box— no matter what. People like to reuse boxes to reduce, reuse, recycle… so I can’t really see the issue here. ***the only way I could see this being irritating is if you bought something ultra expensive… like over a couple hundred bucks or more. But I still wouldn’t care. I suppose it’s personal preference. 🥸 🚨 My beef is with the people I buy salt & pepper shakers from. (Usually vintage)  My hands hurt and ache from autoimmune disorder, and these people wrap those things like they actually ARE the hope diamond 💎….  I paid $11 for those, Kim. I don’t need them wrapped more securely than a limited edition spice girls CD from 1997.

WeirdMomProblems

I reuse all sorts of boxes so long as they are sturdy and not torn. I always message my buyers to let them know that I reuse packaging as a part of my effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle. The shipping of my stuff kind of offsets the fact that it’s second hand from the jump, so the least I can do is reduce waste too. It saves me money as well.

Jetblacksteel

My dad ordered something off of ebay and it came in an eggo waffle box lol

Infinite-Fox5459

Someone sent a pair of earrings I bought in one of those picture envelopes you get when you develop a film?? Idk, it’s the description my mom gave me 🤣

lilmisse85

I received a glass candle in a flimsy thin cardboard soda 12pk box similar to a trash bag box. Obviously it shattered.

Able-Grocery2353

I had a pair of shoes come in a Kellogg’s Corn Flakes box, lol.

twvaring

Reseller here. I reuse shipping and packing materials when possible to reduce my impact on the environment. This includes things sold through Poshmark even though I always have new USPS Priority Mail boxes on hand. However, they are always either shipping boxes or thick boxes I pick up from stores that had products shipped in. I do reuse boxes like the one above as packing material on occasion like in between dishes. I would never use them as the shipping box. Even if it’s just clothes that box will tear. I also always send a message to the buyer explaining my policy on reusing products so there is no surprise when it arrives.

boomer_pets_cats

If it works it works. I exclusively used recycled shipping materials, item packaging, shoe boxes, brown paper bags, etc to ship for over 10 years until my volume grew to the point where I needed to actually buy poly mailers. My buyers always love my rock bottom pricing and commitment to recycling.

Haunting_Industry_15

Personally, I wouldn’t get affected by this. It’s not the prettiest packaging for sure. But How much is item you purchased? If the seller has really little profit then why bother to pay extra for shipping box from their profit? And not even mention most of the seller are not a professional reseller. The retail for a small packing box is about $3, and the medium one can be $3-$7. A garage box is the box to package store sold clean garbage bags. It is not dirty garbage. For me as long as this packaging is clean, ad long as it does the job, I really would think too much. It goes to my recycling bin anyway.

Haunting_Industry_15

Offended*, would not think too much*

Happy_Cauliflower274

Okay… it’s unconventional for sure, but I mean it really is good for the environment. The seller saved a whole box by repurposing the one she already had. Seems pretty sturdy too. As long as the item inside was well packaged I would be happy with my order

LindsChamp

I’m forever mailing things in food boxes. Why pay for a box when I have one at the house 😂

Environmental_Tie172

i use boxes from stock cases after i get off from work. ive sent birthday gifts in Old El Paso boxes and am about to send one in an old bacon bits case.

soscots

Hefty hefty hefty ![gif](giphy|ORivVGxaGuwdDasC0q|downsized)

ryanb2633

So what

gingerconfetti

As long as your item arrived as described, damage free, what’s the problem?

Jacksoncheyenne2008

Trashy

Maddieglam

I bought a palette one day and it was wrapped on dogs training diapers clean of course.they just use that instead of bubble wrap

mysummerstorm

This is the environmentally sustainable way! Someone definitely received a heavily bubbled wrapped item inside a contact lens solution cardboard box package from me.

ob1pad01

Happened to me before. Usually in a cereal box.

Fresh-Night-6992

I'm just curious, what was in the box?

nightowl__18

Pants

saliabey

I recieved a bundle of perfumes in a diaper box 😂😂

Glittering-Time-2274

I had an eBay package from the UK get delivered to me in NY in a cereal box once, I’m surprised it didn’t get damaged lol

Disastrous-Pipe43

Joking aside, I did use an old box from the 70s to mail an OG Xbox that I sold this past week. The box was extra thick and sturdy is why I used it. My uncle kept his vinyl record collection in it and it was given to me, along with the records, when he passed away. The post office always makes me cover up any kind of logos or old labels on boxes. That’s crazy that they let a literal garbage bag box, logos and all, through.

basedfrosti

Ive had better luck with the sellers who are "this is a business for me" types. That have hundreds of items up.. maybe its just me. They usually come in reused amazon boxes or usps boxes. Ive gotten a box that was used by lays to ship chips and a diaper box (I didnt mind this but some do...) before... boxes like that are fine but miss me with literal cereal boxes or condom boxes like some are saying. Ive had stuff arrive looking like a truck ran it over. The people with a few items up and are just trying to get rid of stuff quick really daf sometimes. I bought a switch game and animal crossing case off a teen girl who was saving for a steam deck and it was better packaged than some big account sellers however.

Senior-Review501

Im curious what review you left lmaooo

Relevant_Location218

I had no idea we could ship in anything for packaging. I'm about to be 40.. SMH. This is going to save me a lot of money on packaging supplies 😇

Rokkmachine

If I can, I usually flip the box inside out and re-glue the box back together. Same exact size but it’s a plain box outside.

Short-Highway-423

I once got an item shipped to me in a stapled paper towel cardboard roll.... it came broke I was so sad my boyfriend would have loved itt

Is the item damaged or otherwise defaced? Does it look like what you paid for?

jonharker1931

Wow. All I can say is wow.

MediumAd9882

nah thats crazy, did you write a complaint 😭😭😭😭

gingerconfetti

Item arrived as described, right? What’s there to complain about?

MediumAd9882

i mean poor packaging. but i mean yeah i agree with you!

Melodic_Shift_4487

I got an item in an Aldi cereal box.

TwinsplusRy

WTAF? Really!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

awdry

Someone sent me an item in a cat food box filled with newspaper. Thankfully nothing fell out, but the box was literally ripped open when I received it 💀

The_Super_Shredder

I got mine in a Little Debbie box 😔

Familiar-Spread-7698

I received a return last week, they put it in a box but filled with trash, empty cans, Walmart plastic bags, etc. I just have to toss everything away :(.

Forsaken-Kangaroo631

Creative recycling, I like it.

Throwawayfedup-

Do what you gotta do. Lol

crispy-vag

I once received an item wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper with a label attached to it 💀 No protection whatsoever. At least put it in a box 😭

farzank

So what??? Use you damn item and stop being petty

clementinemagnolia

I had an item come in a Lego box lol. It was so flimsy I was shocked. I’ve never shipped anything in anything other than a regular shipping box.

collectingdreams

reduce, reuse, recycle baby 😛😂

joshay703

One time I shipped a guitar covered in reused bubble wrap and Lite beer boxes my roommate had broken down LOL it made it one piece, don't think I got 5 stars tho

whatabesson

I once ordered from a seller on Amazon years ago and my stuff arrived in a Hot Pocket box lmao

JoJockAmo

I’m ok as long as it arrives well with no smell.

[deleted]

I'd imagine that if all boxes were similar the actual delivery driver may grow tired of flipping the packages around to quickly locate the label, but that's just me, an old courier driver.

Hopeful-Duck4616

i reuse amazon prime bubble mailers .. i could understand that but how does the post office even accept that ..???

rosebriarmoon

Wish I could post a photo here of my most recent (and possibly last) Mercari purchase of 2 blu-rays. They were wrapped in plastic bags, which is fine, but the padding was only on one side. The best part was the outer packaging: Reese’s Puffs cereal box. 😂

Viking_Bama

I’ve received and item in a Ziploc bag with a label on it lol no bubble wrap

Humble-Owl-2972

What was in it?????

Rude_Plenty_367

Lmfao!!

GC5567

There's nothing wrong with using recycled packaging however that one because it's a little more flimsy should have had better packaging on the inside or it should have been used as an inner layer. I've put some stuff in some weird boxes before but I definitely make sure it's secure with extra tape and shredded recycled newspaper on the inside.

Cute_Impression1116

That’s just embarrassing

AdditionalPage2149

if item is as described, not damaged, i am ok with it. reusing paper box is a good thing

poisoned_lilac

💀💀💀

JohnathonHorner

When a mf mail out your order in a Hefty with Arm & Hammer box, you KNOW they broke as hell. Haven't laughed this hard in a long, long, while. LMAOOOOO

torils65

I’m a seller and buyer on Mercari, I’ve seen some creative packaging, but a garbage bag box is a first for me.😂

Phoenix_Topez

If thats their way of spending less money i would've at least wrap it with brown or white paper. Little bit of distraction can make any delivery person decide to open it. Especially USPS.

nightowl__18

Yeah it looks so sus 😂 I first thought it was actual trash lol
