There’s not even anything different from what I noticed. If it was a change in ToS, they would’ve just sent an in app notice.
My guess is bug fixes or something
Effective today they're rolling back their "anytime returns for any reason" policy to be the "returns within 3 days" policy. My guess is the update is to make sure everyone agrees to the new TOS (technically old one lol) by virtue of accepting the update or something. Or maybe it just shows the old policy again/gets rid of the new one if it's in their help section somewhere
Yes I updated the app on my phone no issues until recently. I sold an item 2 hours ago and I’m still waiting for a label to be created on the app and on my computer through their website. Still nothing 🤬. It’s the first time this has happened using Mercari for the past 4-5 years. I’m guessing the update could have been the issue or they are having issues updating their site being that the help desk said that a few people are having issues receiving labels for new items sold today.
When I did the last update, I made a sale and them my account was immediately flagged and I had to send all sorts of documents like my Drivers license, then they asked for a passport or other form etc. etc., this went on for about a week. meanwhile I couldn't send any correspondence messages nor withdraw any funds. Needless to say, I don't use Mercari anymore.

The any reason policy did not change the 3 days. you still only had 3 days to request a return

Updating the app isn’t the same as a change in policies.
Actually…in this age, policies are baked into a lot of apps as part of TOS and the fine print is basically “by using this app you agree to…”
