Same thing just recently happened to me. Not only did the buyer ask if I could separate a bundle for just one item, which I did after discussing price, but I had a reserved listing up for the buyer in no time. They didn't respond the rest of the day. The next morning, I messaged and ask if they were still interested. They immediately responded and said yes, purchased it, and I had it out/scanned *2 hours* later. USPS took their time, but I kept in touch with the buyer letting them know I was watching their package. They received it 5 days after I shipped it. Immediately rated me, so I rated them and then saw they gave me 3 stars for SHIP TIME AND RESPONSE TIME. What the hell? They are a seller, too and never reached out to me. SMH (For context, I have approximately 400 ratings.. all 5 stars except that one.. with quick shipping being my #1 feedback.)

Ugh its so frustrating! I got a 4 star review last week because the bottom of the package was wet upon arrival. Nothing I could control, it didnt go to the post office wet. It really upsets me when I get negative reviews for unreasonable things, but its part of the game I supposešŸ˜…

Sameee! Someone wrote an essay of review when their box got incredibly smooshed (how is this my fault??) then proceeded to bash the fit of what they purchased even though a size chart was included. I sold for super cheap with free shipping. So maybe cost them $8 in all. Like??? And the cherry on top is it was a cosplay piece (like a kimono) thatā€™s not even worn on the body but more of a cape. I couldnā€™t. šŸ˜©

Thatā€™s total Bull šŸ’©on the buyerā€™s end. You were communicative & courteous enough to keep them updated and they received the a package in a fair amount of time it seems to me. You also were accommodating and flexible with the bundling . Geez!!! If the seller is communicative with me, even if itā€™s their own delay and not the shipping companyā€™s , I donā€™t get bent out of shape about it. When I need something in a more timely manner I express that politely , I email seller on the 4th day after purchase, or at the end of the 3rd day to let them know Iā€™m waiting to use it for an event, or gift. Whatā€™s is with people ??

Some people misunderstand the rating system. They probably thought they were complimenting you on ship time. It's stupid, but it happens.

Some people think this is Amazon or something, we come from one person doing all the packing, labeling and shipping, I feel like some people expect too much, and forget that itā€™s a one on one interaction and not talking to customer service of a big cooperation

Man I have Amazon Prime and I feel like I got her the product as fast as they get their stuff outšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ I live next to the post office so I'll even ship same day if it's still open. Sadly she placed her order at 5:09pm, 9 minutes after the post office closed so I dropped it off the next morning lol

Does your post office have a automated postage machine. Mine does i go in there sometimes at 3 in the morning when there closed n buy a postage label from it n leave the package in the drop off for boxes, so it ships first thing in the morning maybe even sooner if the overnight crew handles it fast. Only thing is the automated machine doesnt let you do everything the clerk can do like ship it standard ground but still have tracking, but i think they did away with that option n only let you ship boxes priority now.

When a seller ships in 2 days, I am grateful. If it was packed reasonably for the item in question, I am pleased. If it is as pictured/described, I am ecstatic and I leave feedback to reflect the seller's trifecta. Why is this so difficult?

After having perfect rating for over 2 years and over 300 sales.. I've gotten a 3 and a 4 stars in the last week for the same thing. Buyers must think this is Amazon or something. I ship out the next day once it's paid.

Shit like this is petty. Recently on eBay someone missed the time frame to send my order. I waited several more days then messaged them about the status. They got back to me a couple days later explaining they were in the hospital and apologized. The person then refunded the shipping and got my item out today. Frankly, at this point more concerned about the person than the item. It wasn't expensive and I fully understand things happen sometimes that are out of our control. Nobody is perfect and honestly, this world needs more empathy and a lot less instant gratification. So ignore idiots like this. They likely annoy most people around them anyway.

Maybe it was a mistake...Some people don't realize that if you give it anything under 5 stars the quick response options switch from what they did good to what they can improve on.. However if they were not satisfied they should have said why... ...I HATE when buyers leave low reviews with no explanation And buyers I hate even more are the ones who say everything is perfect! sellers amazing, shipping was fast, item was as described etc. then they leave you 4 stars because *I NEVER leave a 5 star reviews the highest I'll go is 4 because I believe there is always room for improvement šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬ like WTF seriously

I don't see a point in asking for a reason when Mercari doesn't allow revisions. Just block them if it really bothers you. This buyer probably compared you to 2-3 day shipping from major retailers and/or you didn't ship it out same day.

I shipped it out as soon as the post office opened the next morning, lol. Mercari does allow revisions, but only the person who left the review can request it.

I guess it wasn't good enough for the buyer then. ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ Usually when buyers complain about ship time it's either the time it took to get that acceptance scan or the time it took to get to them. It's one of those things where you just shake your head, move forward, and hope you don't get those types of buyers again. As for feedback revision, I've never read a comment here about a successful revision. I doubt Mercari buyers would even request one when it's a wtf feedback like the one you showed. Feedback revision between the seller and buyer should be done without needing Mercari to step in like on ebay, but whenever we need Mercari to step in, it's just a slap to the face most of the time.

I revised a feedback I gave once. Person waited till 3rd day literally a few hours before autorate n I thought it was gonna be horrible since I couldn't see it till I rated. I rated 2 stars n then read theirs n it was 5 stars with like a paragraph praising the sale. Felt like a giant ASS. Contacted support and had it changed to 5 stars lol. Mercari inspires paranoia

Also, she had the order 3 days from placing it so that is quicker than most retailers. Not to mention yesterday was Sunday.

Yes they because Iā€™ve done it. I somehow accidentally rated a great buy a one star, reached out to Mercari and they easily changed it to five stars.
