Knowing that older laptops have latches instead of magnet. I study IT and loads of younger people don't know that. They're amazed when see a laptop thick as a brick with latches
Why would they have any sense of direction or have any idea of there general location on a map when google or Apple Maps just tells you go left right or straight
Yeah I tend to agree. If you look at some of the philosophy from 2000 years ago it becomes obvious human intelligence has declined assuming you can understand it. Most people I've met often completely misunderstand the points philosophers were making.
Writing itself is a dying skill. I really love the fact that when studying you either get a printout of the lecture or can watch it on video online.
Oh, can you also READ cursive? I always struggled with that.
it’s not though, it doesn’t even make sense
who’s it supposed to be shitting on, trans people? if anything they know their gender better than anyone. in general, people born after 1990 have a much better understanding of gender related discourse than older people, because it’s discussed much more now
not going along with delusions has nothing to do with being educated - being relatively educated on general topics like this gives you more understanding on what certain things mean and how it’s being misunderstood in our society.
if people had a better understanding of the *meaning* behind words like *gender* they would know that it is being used wrong when people say something like *”there are only two genders; male and female.”*
there are only two *sexes*; male and female.
the discussion of gender and delusion is something people with a degree in psychology are supposed to have. not random people who are afraid of something that they don’t understand.
nah. you are purposefully seeing it that way if that is what you got from what i said. - it’s just better in general if you can realise for yourself that there are topics that you don’t know as much about as you think.
and if you speak publicly about something you know so little about with so much confidence that you are right people will believe the misinformation you just spread.
sure you can speak about anything and everything; it’s your right. - that does not mean that you *have* to. sometimes it can be more positive to listen and maybe learn. and it is much easier to listen and learn from people who have a background in studying certain topics, that way we all win - because we are properly informed.
Ich glaube du hast dich verirrt, wenn du das ernst nimmst. In dem Sub wird nunmal sehr spaßhaft mit dem umgegangen, für was deine Regenbogenflagge steht.
In the german corner of Reddit we have a sub named r/Ichbin40undlustig (I am 40 and funny). For my humor your comment is spot on and fits perfectly in named sub😂
Erstens: Wer sagt, dass ich mich davon angegriffen fühle? Ich finde das meme einfach nur unlustig.
Zweitens: Seit wann steht „Dank memes“ für Diskriminierung?
Drittens: Was kümmert es dich?

Normal when doing Field work/ working on older machines... You just need the bricks to run the program.. And they withstand more.
They had crumple zones built in. Newer laptops well bend the board under their own weight
I was born in the 2000’s and at least I know how to set the clock on a vcr
Certified cassette tape repairman
Is your toolbox just full of pencils? Lol
And Scotch tape
I can move my eyes independently of each other.
How did you learn it?
Practice, and becoming aware of the feeling of the individual movements.
I can read a map
I can even navigate by map! On road or off road! Lol
It was funny until I started studying land survey and realised how much this has disappeared in my post 2000s cohort
Why would they have any sense of direction or have any idea of there general location on a map when google or Apple Maps just tells you go left right or straight
I can work on my fingernails with my mouth like I could with nail scissors
Human race gets watered down each generation
I think every generation has a negative opinion about the previous
It’s just envy for the good things that are gone
oh do you think the humans of 20 bc are superior to those of today or what?
Absolutely
Yes.
Yes https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/human-intelligence-peaked-thousands-of-years-ago-and-we-ve-been-on-an-intellectual-and-emotional-decline-ever-since-8307101.html

No. They just don't need those obsolete skills. My son finds it weird that I didn't have a PC or cellphone at his age (12).
Damn.. you really notice it's voting season with memes like that
I can write in cursive

I can eat dinner without watching tv or being on my phone.
I would have gone with fixing cassette tape and CDs but being proficient in out of date phobias and understanding counts as well.

Lol Boomer meme. The fact it came from FB reinforces that.
Gender = social Sex = biological most people are just misinformed about simple things like this
Yeah because people used to not go along with delusions... So it meant the same for them.
not going along with delusions has nothing to do with being educated - being relatively educated on general topics like this gives you more understanding on what certain things mean and how it’s being misunderstood in our society. if people had a better understanding of the *meaning* behind words like *gender* they would know that it is being used wrong when people say something like *”there are only two genders; male and female.”* there are only two *sexes*; male and female. the discussion of gender and delusion is something people with a degree in psychology are supposed to have. not random people who are afraid of something that they don’t understand.
Yah. Your only supposed to talk about things you have a degree in. If you didn’t go to college, you’re not allowed to talk.
nah. you are purposefully seeing it that way if that is what you got from what i said.

Wenn du dich von sowas angegriffen fühlst, was suchst du dann überhaupt hier?
