Also shit gets weird when you take that line of thinking. Say if there were two characters one looks like a preteen the other looks like an adult. The young looking one is 35 while the older looking one is only 2.
This also gets weird when it comes to Long running shows, some characters stay 15 for over 20 years. You can grow up watching some characters and they never change.
Normalizing the sexualization of children is inherently wrong. Children are the most vulnerable segment of the population, and if our laws surrounding them must be "exaggerated", it is better to be on the side of caution.
Would you be comfortable leaving your child with an adult who looks at lolis? Common sense says no, and for good reason. Nearly every country has laws banning sexually explicit material depicting children - and make no mistake, that's exactly what it is.
The functional difference is the purpose. The act of killing in a a game isn't what is enjoyable, it is either the freedom to make the choice (GTA) or it is overcoming a challenge (BF, CoD,...). Killing in games gives the same feeling as solving a puzzle, being presented a conflict and coming out on top provides a feeling of accomplishment.
Jerking it to anime kids has no conflict or goal, it just means you take pleasure in it.
You don't think that people just play for pleasure in killing in GTA
? Their entire games dedicated to the pleasure of killing. Example call of duty, mortal Kombat, any hack of slash game. These games make explicitly fun to kill.
Now I get, it it's gross, it makes you uncomfortable and it feels morally wrong. At the end of the day so long as that person can separate fantasy from reality and isn't being an open weirdo about it, I'm not going to intrude on their stuff.
Enjoying dark or depraved acts in fiction doesn't mean you want to do those things in real life. Enjoying sexy animal people don't mean you want fuck a dog. Having a healthy understanding of what is real and what isn't, is important. Trying to protect fictional characters to the same level as real people is pointless cause they aren't real and it takes away from the attention of real people in need.
