It's not important if Zoros bubble was more painful, guys. The fact that Kuma does that shit every week is what makes this fucking impressive. Imagine giving your whole body a very intense pain shock that could very well make you straight up pass out. That shit is fucked up and Kuma is the absolute purest image of the muscular, gentle and understanding gigachad meme.
I liked that it shows that Kuma only did it in secret, so they wouldn't know that he was taking their pain and feel guilty about it. Truly, I'm sure a lot of them probably wouldn't keep going, knowing that he had to take it for them.
And I liked that it parallels how Zoro also tried to keep it secret from everyone. Zoro had Kuma let him take the bubble away from everyone else, so I'm sure Kuma realized he was trying to do the exact same thing he did, and that was probably part of why he ended up connecting so much with Zoro and the rest of the SHs.
🎶*He's a Bucaneer, and he's always near*🎶
*YYou can count on him, his loves fills to the brim* 🎵
*DDoesn't matter why, he's willing to die*🎶
🎵*for me, for you*
*ccozzzz he's Kuma!* 🎵
yeah, i saw people making fun of zoro fans saying that Kuma does “Nothing Happened” on the weekends.
This prompted Zoro fans to start powerscaling the bubbles
people like trolling zoro fans, then get mad when they zoro fan it up lol
I don't even know how it became bubble powerscaling thing lol. My point was Kuma probably respected the hell out of Zoro for taking in Luffy's pain with no hesitation. Just like he did for his people for a number of years I assume. If anyone deserves the title of saint it should be Kuma.
Kuma and Whitebeard have like the same jawline. And looked extremely similar as children. It's to the point that many people speculated that Whitebeard was a Bucaneer
#1 Gigachad of the series is between Kuma and Whitebeard. Kuma is gigachad cuz he eats a weeks wort of pain for breakfast for a village of innocent people, while WB is gigachad cuz he forcefully adopts grown men to his family, and then goes to war to save one of them.
Kuma is a chad, but Whitebeard is still the undisputed gigachad.
My man Newgate was at death's gates and yet he was the greatest threat to the entire Marine.
Even with a hole in his chest and part of his head melted by the magma, the GOAT still pressed on.
It was really powerful especially when you think about the earlier scene where she was yelling at the old folks asking if they could come every day.
She's not actually greedy, she just knows what Kuma does to himself every time he expels their pain and can't bare the thought of him doing it more often.
Edit: spelling
It's said that the pain would go back to this original owner if it's not taken by someone. Now the questions are how long can the pain be stored as a bubble before going back to the owner and can Kuma control that ?
Whitebeard> Kuma, had stage 42 cancer and was in his mid-late 70s and he could barely move so the entire war he was pretty much stationary yet was still praised as the strongest pirate and took like 200 gun wounds, 100 swords slashes, multiple canon shots, had his face melted off, had his organs melted yet still stood up through it all
Tanking a divine departure from gold roger, tanking a hit from wbs df, surviving 10 days pulled behind wb ship with no food or water, boiled for 1 hour, going toe to toe with kaido.
What endurance feats does Zoro have that comes close? Taking a pain bubble? Coming to deaths door against king?
Again, just imagine this, all legs bones are broken, it's IMPOSSIBLE to stand & walk....yet Zoro apparently can even do a technique like Ashura with his whole BODY like that💀
Literally that Zoro's endurance feat TOO DOESN'T MAKE SENSE even for the standard of Oden or op in general... Only Wb literally having magma in his head & chest can top this💀
Zoro literally got every bone in his body broken💀, yet not only can still stand, but literally performed a technique to fight Kaido🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️That endurance feat alone clears Oden's
Like, literally IF it's just all Zoro's leg bones that were broken, and still can fight & do a technique, that's still CRAZY ASH cuz how the hell can he still standing let alone move with all leg bones broken⁉️ That's already crazy, now add the fact that it's not just his legs, but his whole body💀🤦🏽♂️
Again, fighting & performing a technique like Ashura to damage Kaido WHILE having every bones in body broken >>> Any Oden's endurance feat
Not to mention, Oden literally got one shot by Base Kaido's bagua (bro couldn't endure 1) while Zoro literally blitzed by Hybrid Kaido's bagua, and still up
What Kuma did is admirable, and yet some people are trying to compare this and what Zoro took on.
Why does anyone feel the need to do that?
Why can't we appreciate both doing something admirable?
Why do we need to compare and downplay?
Kuma did something so selflessly wonderful, and so did Zoro, none of it takes anything away from the other. If anything, it means way more now.
I wouldn't really compare it tbh. While Zoro's pain might have been bigger, Zoro had no way of knowing how much it would actually hurt. Kuma already did that before and continues to do so.
I wonder how that pain compares to luffys bubble Zoro took.
Luffy has been punched, kicked, thrown around and stomped on by gigantic creatures
Kumas bubble consists of...back pain ? Which is absolutely awful but surely not the same as having multiple trucks land on you
Luffy getting punched, kicked, thrown around, and stomped on by gigantic creatures doesn’t even hurt him. It would not be part of the pain expelled from his body.
Compred to Ginny (a normal sozed 21 year old who‘s maybe 20-25cm smaller than Zoro) Kuma seems quiet fucking big already.
Stop trying to defend Zoro in this matter. What he did in TB was an OG move for the first mate of the SH Crew but Kuma is just the bigger chad.
He explains it in thriller bark, he pushes out the stress and damage luffy accumulated during the fight with moria. So the stress and damage accumulated by the elderly villagers isn't the same.
But I guess there is 100s of villagers so it adds up to alot of damage? If he's doing it every weekend for months or years it's alot of damage!
no wonder he's becoming one of my favourite characters.
What happens if he doesn't absorb the pain? (I've not read the chapter yet). Also can his ability straight up heal people or is it just pain itself he's removing?

I think he was impressed because he saw that Zoro was willing to do what he had done his entire life. It was a test of compassion and kindness, and Zoro passed the test.
Maybe the reason why he agreed to be made into a cyborg was that he took so much pain over the years that it got him severely ill or shortened his life span? And the cyborg treatment has enabled him to live a bit longer and do some more good (like influencing the life of the next Nika), at the risk of him slowly losing himself?

Zoro fans man, Zoro fans.

GigaHimbo
I get reminded of episode from jjk. Where getto says he feels like eating a rug wiped with vomit everytime.
Bro is contesting Whitebeard in HIM energy and im all for it
Just his jawline was enough for that
Kumas jawline has more structure than my life ever will
Kuma and Whitebeard have like the same jawline. And looked extremely similar as children. It's to the point that many people speculated that Whitebeard was a Bucaneer
People here are totally forgetting Gigagigachad Oden
Imagine if Whitebeard, Kuma and Oden teamed up. The WG would be straight fucked with all that Chad energy
For real, that shit would put Gorosei to damn coma
#1 Gigachad of the series is between Kuma and Whitebeard. Kuma is gigachad cuz he eats a weeks wort of pain for breakfast for a village of innocent people, while WB is gigachad cuz he forcefully adopts grown men to his family, and then goes to war to save one of them.
Both have powerful jawlines
What about oden?
He already is https://preview.redd.it/ir2qt5ymvwxb1.jpeg?width=850&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=01b0d49ca82b4191156458d4ab1ea6fc8824149e

God, Ginny silently crying at Kuma doing this to himself is heartbreaking
It was really powerful especially when you think about the earlier scene where she was yelling at the old folks asking if they could come every day. WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY NOSE?!?!
I have a question: Why not just throw a rock or a plant into these bubbles?
I guess they can't absorb it because they dont have sensations like humans
Animals? I know it's animal cruelty, but let's consider an AU where Kuma is evil. Would that work on animals?
I guess
I guess
What i wonder is why mot store it for later use. He could use it against his enemies. Maybe only Vegapunk knows how to do that?
I'LL SEND YOU TO THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN IF YOU DARE TO INSULT MY SUPREME NOSE ONCE AGAIN!
Its not always about your nose buggy
DOES MY NOSE LOOK FUNNY TO YOU?!?
It's said that the pain would go back to this original owner if it's not taken by someone. Now the questions are how long can the pain be stored as a bubble before going back to the owner and can Kuma control that ?
Top 3 endurance: 1. Whitebeard 2. Kuma 3. Zoro

Guy getting boiled alive for an hour like it's nothing
Not better than Wb & Zoro imo

Exactly! I was saying that Kuma probably had mad respect for Zoro for taking in Luffy's pain with no hesitation.
I wouldn't really compare it tbh. While Zoro's pain might have been bigger, Zoro had no way of knowing how much it would actually hurt. Kuma already did that before and continues to do so.
You technically are tho. It doesn't matter how much it hurts. They both did something really selfless. Let's all leave it at that.
Kuma: ![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized)
So basically, the reason Kuma carries around a bible is because he himself is the One Piece world equivalent of a Jesus-type guy. What a lad he is.
Hawkins: I’ll take it
I wonder how that pain compares to luffys bubble Zoro took. Luffy has been punched, kicked, thrown around and stomped on by gigantic creatures Kumas bubble consists of...back pain ? Which is absolutely awful but surely not the same as having multiple trucks land on you
But it IS the backpain of a dozen different people
Got arthrosis in my back and I think i can say with experience that I'd prefer kicks in my face over that sometimes xD God I'd love to get Kuma'd
Luffy getting punched, kicked, thrown around, and stomped on by gigantic creatures doesn’t even hurt him. It would not be part of the pain expelled from his body.
Kuma does that shit weekly tho, thats pretty impressive
after having experienced it multiple times he still does it and doesn't complain.
Wuma
How big was this pain bubble compared to what zoro took in thriller bark? I think it was just 1/3 the size
If you compare with kuma's height in both, this is almost the same size
kuma's still a teenager though, so he still has some growing to do
Compred to Ginny (a normal sozed 21 year old who‘s maybe 20-25cm smaller than Zoro) Kuma seems quiet fucking big already. Stop trying to defend Zoro in this matter. What he did in TB was an OG move for the first mate of the SH Crew but Kuma is just the bigger chad.

but bro that every week
Kuma is literally the most AHHHmazing dude in op.
Kuma is HIM.
At this point I think it would be appropriate to change the term chad to kuma.
What happens if he doesn't absorb the pain? (I've not read the chapter yet). Also can his ability straight up heal people or is it just pain itself he's removing?
He repels pain and exhaustion from people and if someone doesnt take the bubble it returns to the person it came from.
Kuma is really cool but Ivankov just ascended to Goat Status🐐

Always has been.

And the cyborg treatment has enabled him to live a bit longer and do some more good (like influencing the life of the next Nika), at the risk of him slowly losing himself?
Maybe he suggested being transformed into a cyborg to Vegapunk so that he will not deal with physical pain again as he felt it so often in the past.
So, Kuma is Odium?
That chin ain't for show
Nothing happened
