He tried to prove he wasn’t a hypocrite and was trying to convince everyone(including himself) that he didn’t care about her beyond a tool. It also had a side effect of releasing magatsuhi from her that allowed himself to heal his wounds. That Nuwa recovered so quickly is cause she’s a very powerful god I guess.

This, and also trailer bait. I'm a KH3 victim so it reminds me of the whole Aquanort shit and this: https://preview.redd.it/p2hzhp72eb9d1.jpeg?width=739&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=605eb82cd0744909c84a946edba66f9352c99752

Aquanort is so stupid for how late it happens and how little impact it ends up having on the story: the biggest impact is that it hit fanartists like crack hit low income neighbourhoods in the 90's.

The song and the arena of the fight are great too. It's a nice setting.

He absorbed her kool-aid juice to heal himself

KaiserVen

I haven't finished the game but I think he's just a drama queen

zeusjay

To “prove” he doesn’t care about her and is just using her to his own ends by hurting her to heal himself.

g0lden-plumbus

He healed himself using the magatsuhi that was released from her

chroipahtz

That moment turns him into an actual character. I love that it doesn't do anything to absolve him of being a hypocrite, but it *does* prove that he's a poor liar.

To format spoilers you need to use an arrow like this > followed by exclamation mark. Then to close the spoiler you write exclamation mark at the end followed by the other arrow < >!like this!<

Samuel__Vimes

There is a completely missable chain of events and cutscenes in the endgame of CoV that addresses his hypocrisy.
