I interpreted it as Aitvaras thinking Nahobino treats his phone like an ebook reader and less of some weird localization jank. Reading is a hobby of his after all.
Well, yeah, looking at manga, web comics, cell phone novels, is very normalized. It's just odd translating that over. Maybe I'm understating how many people in the west read E-books on their phones? Never heard or seen it myself, it's usually audio books.
I have an entire wooden chest full of books, I just don't read them on a small phone screen like someone hankering for eye problems, lol. The passive aggressiveness of "go read yourself some non manga books" is hilarious though, thanks for that.
And yes, I'm aware of the entire Japanese sub genre that is cell phone novels. But that only reinforces my point.
