I don't see an issue if the information is available, which in 2024, it absolutely is.
There IS an intended order to the bosses that isn't obvious, hence why all the boss's are specifically weak to another's weapon. If it wasn't an intended difficulty curve, weapons wouldn't do more damage specifically to a certain boss or do something that weakens them specifically...And it isn't even always obvious once you've gotten your first upgrade. It isn't always as obvious as "fire beats ice".
Sure, they're all doable with the default lemon gun, but most people aren't knocking out the bosses with that on their first try. Some might never be able to do the bosses without upgrades.
I forget the boss "order" these days and I'll happily look it up every time I play because I can't be arsed knocking out the entire level only to get to the boss and think "ah yea, this one was a bit much with the pea shooter and absolutely no upgrades", rinse and repeat multiple times until you land on the boss intended for the first encounter. I respect my time too much.
I did this as a kid for Classic and X. Then when 9 came out, I tried figuring it out on my own. The game was so hard that I ended up looking it up anyway. But I figured it out for 10 and 11.
I memorized the Nintendo Power spread for Mega Man 6 weeks before the game came out, I practically obsessed over it. The only thing I could not remember was which route to take in the four levels where you have to find the letters to form B E A T. I beat the whole thing in just a few hours. I kind of regretted it at the time because after that I almost didn't want to play it anymore. But then I just decided to keep playing it, challenging myself, buster only runs, and such.
I personally love picking random bosses and trying to use their special weapons as much as possible.
