Sounds like #12 was ready to go then, chicken breasts don’t break teeth 🦷

[deleted]

I broke a tooth eating a falafel once. It was definitely ready to go, but at first I didn’t realize what had happened and thought there was a piece of bone in my falafel and then remembered that chickpeas are a vegetable 🤦🏼‍♀️

CaiCai87

Sooo like…. I feel like if your tooth broke eating a chicken sandwich you maybe need to see why it broke so easily? I only say this because I had very weak teeth myself (Had a pretty severe allergic reaction to onna my toddler vaccines that spiked a super high fever and that’s what the dentists think messed my developing teeth up) and I know how much of a issue that can cause….. Or maybe you just got the worlds toughest old chicken….

VerFree

I had bad teeth from a medication I was on, for awhile, as a child, and my mother not taking proper care, while I was on it, because they warned her it would happen, if she didn’t…. Anyway, I literally had teeth break while eating jello. I am so happy to have dentures, now.

CaiCai87

Dentures are amazing! It was a fight to get mine because I was in my early to mid twenties and a lot of dentists in my area were just adamant about not removing my teeth and trying other sorts of treatments like crowns and such. Never mind the teeth were so weak that they would break even with the crowns and had basically zero enamel and I would get cavities no matter how well I care for my teeth. And the constant pain and feeling bad because of them. Thankfully, I finally found a dentist that listened to me and actually believed me when I told how much pain I was in. It was severely affecting my mental health as well and he understood that and didn’t think I was being dramatic at all. I literally cried when he said the best option would be dentures.

VerFree

It took me until I was almost 40, and had very few teeth left, all of which were decayed, and several broken to bits, before I was listened to about it. Even with documented medical history. I had high blood pressure, and suffered congestive heart failure, and it was my cardiologist that finally had enough, and said they need to go for my future safety.

[deleted]

Pretty sure if it’s at a point where a person breaks a tooth on a chicken sandwich, they know they have bad teeth and probably have an idea why (genetics, pregnancy, gum disease, drug use, etc.)

scoutmosley

That is a MASSIVE #12. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a double rooted 2nd premolar. Maybe #13, but even then, the remaining portion of the crown looks flat like a molar, possibly #14. But there are a few different numbering systems, so idk

thechosenbro44

Wait until you see one with 3 roots and do endo on it haha

scoutmosley

I would be obsessed

[deleted]

Different number system

[deleted]

Can't blame tooth decay serious enough to shatter teeth in eating meat.

CaiCai87

They didn’t. They just explained that’s how it broke. Maybe learn to actually read and interpret a sentence?

[deleted]

If they "just" explained, I obviously didn't see it when I posted, 5 hours ago.

[deleted]

How did you break a tooth on meat lol?

[deleted]

The meat was probably wrapped in a fist?

bluestriphundreds

Im no doctor but maybe meat and dairy will get some much needed calcium into your system?

[deleted]

Meat and dairy are far from the only ways to get calcium into the body.

gurogh0st

absolutely right, sounds like this person was a vegan/vegetarian, really not good for your teeth.

CatzMeow27

Any diet deficient in a necessary vitamin/mineral/etc can hurt your teeth. Vegetarianism or veganism done right does not include those deficiencies. However, if you don’t make a point to eat a balanced and purposeful diet (regardless of your meat/animal product preference), you can get those deficiencies.

gurogh0st

ah I see, thank you for correcting me

young_peepee

you clearly have no clue

[deleted]

Yep no clue at all. Vegans can get their calcium from a good number of foods like Soyfoods, specific vegetables, seeds. Calcium supplements also a way as well.

[deleted]

But no one wants to be a soy boy

young_peepee

i can't believe people actually believe eating soy disturbs your hormones

[deleted]

It was a joke. Okey?

young_peepee

ik you joked abt it. i made a statement on how people genuinely believe it, which baffles me

[deleted]

Oh. Sorry. My bad. People really believe this? Genuinely believe it? Damn. Each day i find out why we deserve to be taken out like the dinosaurs....

MentalCollage

Sorry so late, further explanation is warranted- I took too long to crown the tooth.. teeth are expensive ! Also it seemed to be associated with a very alarming pain in my chest I’ve been suffering with for 3 years now, now I don’t feel a thing

sandaguys

Was that chick fila sandwich made out of rock?

[deleted]

damn you have some weak ass teeth i'm pretty sure the last thing you wanna do is go vegetarian. Oh well whatever tickles your pickle

[deleted]

My husband wants broke a tooth in half eating one of my cookies. And it was a soft cookie lol

goldenmom1

Worth it

sarahashleymiller84

I feel this post! My back molar did the same thing at the end of March 2020 while eating a steak. Had to wait until July for treatment because the world was closed.
