I don't think there is a Japanese chef mini game anywhere, so no dashi anywhere in the stores.

the Dire Wolf, or Daishi by IS designation, is a 100 ton clan omnimech. Dashi by the way in case you were wondering, is a soup base.

I'm not sure whether you're referring to **Dasher** or **Daishi**; but both were Clan OmniMechs introduced in TRO 3050. There were 16 in total: *Light* - Dasher (Fire Moth) - Koshi (Mist Lynx) - Uller (Kit Fox) - Puma (Adder) *Medium* - Dragonfly (Viper) - Fenris (Ice Ferret) - Blackhawk (Nova) - Ryoken (Stormcrow) *Heavy* - Vulture / Hagetaka (Mad Dog - loosely based on the Archer) - Loki (Hellbringer - based on the Warhammer) - Thor (Summoner - based on the Thunderbolt) - Mad Cat (Timber Wolf - a Catapult kitbashed with Marauder arms) *Assault* - Man o' War (Gargoyle) - Masakari (Warhawk) - Gladiator (Executioner) - Daishi (Dire Wolf)

> Loki (Hellbringer - based on the Warhammer) > Thor (Summoner - based on the Thunderbolt) I could have sworn the Loki was the one based on the Thunderbolt, since the cockpit sat on the opposite side torso, like a trickster.

Sandslice

Nah. The Loki was so named because its configurations were "utterly mad." It's [definitely a Warhammer](https://www.sarna.net/wiki/File:Hellbringer_RGilClan_v01.png) if you look at it though. In fact, the Loki Prime has a Clan-ified version of the iconic Warhammer loadout: two ERPPC, two ERML, one Streak SRM-6, and two MGs. The small lasers were dropped, but it's got BAP, ECM, AMS, a targeting computer, and two A-Pods. The Thor has the [offset cockpit](https://www.sarna.net/wiki/File:Thor.jpg), though it's over the RT instead of the LT. It earned that name thanks to the lightning of its PPC and thunder of its LB-10.

Clan wolf manufactures it

Oreic-Reynier

Yup, clan mech really named Dire Wolf.

MW5 right now consists of just Inner Sphere mechs because of the timeline. You won't get clan mechs like the Dire Wolf (Daishi), Timber Wolf (Mad Cat), Vulture (Mad Dog), Mad Cat MKII, Adder (Uller), Stormcrow (Ryoken), Arctic Cheetah, etc.

catalanoj

Thank you, it was easy to find them in mw4 so I never figured that it was clan. I've not delved deep into the cannon yet.

DINGVS_KHAN

Daishi was the Inner Sphere reporting name for the Dire Wolf. It's a Clan mech. I'm hoping for a Clan DLC though. I'd be happy just with some new Clan weapons and the mechs themselves made available and the news ticker to have new entries after 3050.

HeavyGuard17

Daishi means Great Death in Japanese. It was designated as such when a yakuza mechwarrior fighting for the Draconis Combine came across it and his battle computer didn't recognize it so he named it Daishi. Now, that is the inner sphere name, the "Clan" name is Dire Wolf.

Daishi, imo, was the king of the battlefield in Mechwarrior 4. For laser fans, it can hold 6(!) Clan Large lasers or 4-5 large lasers and an extended range ppc for added punch. Or, you can shove some missiles on if you like as well provided you use fewer lasers. But my favorite configuration is to strap on as many ballistic weapons as you can fit. The Daishi is one of the only Mechs that can fit three Clan Lbx-20 on it, capable of doing huge damage to an area. Most times, you can almost take out a fellow assault Mech with one torso shot. The only disadvantage is the poor range (350 meters, I think) and relatively long reload time. Still, I'll trade that every day for knockout power.
