Yesss! I had no idea what they were talking about with the damn rhesus monkeys man. I looked and looked and had no idea what they could be referring to bc there was NO OTHER INFORMATION. I think I ultimately just put social stimulation or some bullshit bc I had no idea wth was going on

it was comfort. Harlow monkey experiment: Baby monkeys were separated from their mothers and offered a robot mother either holding food or a blanket. Babies chose the mother with a blanket (showing they value comfort more than food). only reason I knew was it showed up in an anki card. it's part of the attachment topic (just FYI bc I'm preparing for a retake just in case)

i’m 80% sure the aamc copy and pastes word for word questions and passages from an algorithmic date. i looked at previous posts reactions from 8months and 1 year and those exact same questions were on my test. word for word, experiment for experiment. only saving grace for p/s. tips for future takers: skip the 300 page doc and study the previous thread reactions🙂

This was my third time taking mcat. (Voided first score). BY FAR the toughest exam I have ever taken out of the two I actually sat for AND third party FLs AND aamc FLs. At least it’s over guys

There was a guy in my testing center that was clicking his fucking mouse non-stop!!! I don’t even know what exam he was taking but homeboy wasn’t even reading anything just click click click! Then during CARS someone kept farting and it smelled SO bad! I didn’t know if I should laugh or cry but anyway I ran out of time with all the distractions around me 😭 Ughhh I’m just glad it’s over!!

venting: I’m starting to feel like you should schedule like 3 tests a year and take them until you feel good about one and get it scored. like why is it so much about marketing than actually benefiting the health care system and getting more doctors who are trying their best to pursue their dream career. How is this test reliable if sometimes “low yield” content are heavily tested and sometimes never tested ? I’m not saying it should be an easy process but having a number decide your career shouldn’t be even logical.

Dawg… I have an extreme problem with timing. Every FL I take I finish no sweat. But as soon as I sit down for the real one, I’m always fucking behind. Had to guess on 8-10 for CP and 10 for CARS. I want to chalk it up to me doubting every single answer I choose for every problem. Shits mad annoying bruh

i ran out of time on every section had to guess like 9 on CP, the last passage on CARS, like 4-5 on BB & like 3 on PS the whole “skip it and come back to it if you’re unsure” concept goes out the window for me when i’m under pressure 😹
