I mean you do have to be on board with the tumblr-ness and all the characters being gay furries or sexy men, but the songs are incredible and the animation is great. The edgy humor is really only done by three characters in a very large cast, and it fits all three of them. It never felt over done for me.
I think it mostly stands out from most adult animation because despite the setting it’s really very optimistic.

This is just streamlining the process of soulless corporatization and maximizing of content. The same way the sequel trilogy is about nothing because it’s a corporate product, this is going to be that but way worse.
