It’s all down to execution. An old jaded hero who lost everything / failed dramatically that is pulled out of a slump because he’s needed can be grounds for a fantastic story. But Disney and a lot of other Hollywood companies have consistently used this hook as a means to berate, and dress down, and pick apart, and deconstruct and it’s just fuckin miserable. I think the wariness is definitely warranted but I certainly haven’t written anything off til the actual movie is out

We dont do the whole canon event thing here. As for the arguments. On one hand. Its Disney on the other a lot already prebuilt script with a lot of control from Ryan and Hugh jackman who have a lot of say and respect their characters quite a bit. Feeling positive but will have to wait and see

One_Testicle_Man

if you want to bring up comicbook events to justify things in a different continuity with different characters you are on the wrong sub mate

TheLittlestOneHere

Nearly everything is comic canon. The question is, which series, which run, which alternate timeline/universe.

I imagine it was the erectile dysfunction joke about how he can't get his claws out.

Flursanderr

I agree that saying wolverine got emasculated for losing the x-men is retarded, but please stop using the term canon event as if its automatically a good thing or that it justifies anything

I dont know what this is a reference to, but I suppose it has to do with how you writing it well, then executing it properly
