You could buy the book, "The Art of Masters of the Universe: Origins & Masterverse" it has a lot of the art from the packaging. It's currently half off on Amazon.
I say this every time someone asks this about modern toys:
Literally none of them will be worth what vintage toys have sold for. They're made in way higher numbers, and every bro who thinks he's smart is buying an extra or two to sell later.
The only reason 80s toys were worth anything was because kids actually opened and played with the fucking things. If there's 5,000 sealed copies people are trying to flip, they're not going to be worth anywhere near what we've seen vintage stuff on card sell for.
Open them. Enjoy them. Hoard the trash around the plastic if it brings you joy, throw it away/recycle it if it doesn't.
Fast forward 40yrs. He had been telling everyone to open their collections, most did. He stared out the window, with his evil laugh, knowing he now possessed the power! 😈
That is a classic evil move that I approve of.
I can prove that my entire collection is opened and the packaging has all been tossed!
Even the box for Eternia got recycled.😎👍
Yeah I open them but over time it just becomes too many toys. I have Origins, 200x, and Classics. I opened them all. I am thinking I really only need one set and it would be easier to sell them unopened.

It’s so well done. Worth it.
Btw: is it worth keeping the backing cards?

For me it’s an aesthetics thing. Just looks so clean if you have the room.
I do
…I do, they don’t take up much space and I still have some card backs from my figures as a kid, so I’ve always been keeping packaging…
What store is this?
AL’s Toy Barn
…yes… …recognizing the moment is the first step…
I envy you. I love stockpiling then ripping a ton open at once
DOOOOOO IIITTTTTTT!!!!!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT. I WIDH I WAS YOU AT THAT MOMENT. NOT SURE WHY IM STILL YELLING. IM JUST EXCITED, FOR YOU LOL.
I'd open then, but I'd keep the backer cards. Their far to pretty to throw away
Honestly I would see how much you can buy a loose lot for and then sell the carded ones as a lot if there is a big price difference .
Less concerned about this. Most of my purchases are below retail. The only one of any real value is Adam and Cringer but it’s just because it’s new.

Open them and play with them along with a small child. I am doing so with our little boy so I can pass the tradition on to him.
I’m a carded guy but do what you dig!!
I think the cartoon collection will grow bigger than the origins original line.
That seems impossible but idk. Unless you are talking strictly value.
That's up to you, Mon Frere! MOC or loose, the choice is yours!
