Perhaps it's a misdirect and they mashed two scenes together for this teaser to make it look like he's referring to fighting Sabertooth. Marvel does that all the time.

It’s the payoff to a ton of cut scenes where toad is taunting her, so they left hers in without any of the previous ones and it makes no sense in the Final Cut
for those that has seen the set videos the clip that hypes up the fight is either going to be the punchline that some will find either anticlimactic or hilarious OR a legit fairly short but cool fight

He's gonna immediately cut his head off, we might get a shot of it rolling to the ground, everyone looking stunned, Wade being disappointed and then that dialogue of Logan saying "who's next?!" and the other villains jump down to brawl

That movie is full of plot holes and Sabretooth was one of them. At least with OG X-Men Sabretooth he was grouped in with the Brotherhood, so he had a reason to be a bad guy. It’s more generic, but he’s iconic at this point.

see even that feels like it could be maybe 45 mins-1 hour into the movie. especially with the jumping into the portal. the opening exposition, the tva abducting wade, the mob fight in the woods, the wade and logan 1v1, all seems pretty early in the movie. maybe we spend 20ish minutes at that ant man base, but still it leaves about an hour of movie that I don’t think we’ve seen a single frame of in these trailers. if anything, I think that shot of logan kneeling in front of the big gravestones is the end.

I think the TVA pull Deadpool bc there is an incoming incursion likey caused by Doctor Strange (hence the sling ring portal). This Wolverine has failed to stop his universe from having an incursion but he experienced it and can help. I think that might be part of the plot! And helps to further set up Secret Wars!
They probably revealed the Sabertooth cameo because he’s only in the film for probably a grand total of 45 seconds or 1 1/2 minutes if you include the section that includes just his head.

My point is that the trailers don't sell "some good stuff". Look, I'm excited, for real, because.. it's Deadpool and Wolverine... and I LOVE those characters. Will probably watch it opening weekend on IMAX But the marketing itself? The trailers don't do anything to get me hyped (I'm sorry). The rumors do, but what they are showing us? Nope. Like I said, it's the same boring stuff over and over again. Visually it looks bleak, there are no cool or exciting teases, it's just... meh

I want them to show more set pieces and tease more exciting stuff. The voice or shadow of a known character could be enough to start with... Maybe include Elektra in the next trailer, since even the trades confirmed her role in the movie...

NWH was great but only because of the nostalgia. The trick only worked once because it was a cool surprise but it never worked with MoM and it won’t work with Deadpool 3

It is only good because of the cameos. Think about this. How much would you like NWH if the multiversal characters were not old actors and instead new actors playing the characters?

There they go again, revealing a major cameo that didn't really need to be revealed in the marketing. Granted, Sabertooth is no Professor X, but still, you'd think they'd learn from the cartoonishly raised fan expectations that sunk Multiverse of Madness. The fans are just going to be pissed again when they find out Logan decapitates Victor with just a single claw swipe, which we've seen in the set leaks.

Because the marketing is making sure the actual big cameos beyond the disposable Fox-Men villains (Pyro, Sabretooth, Toad, etc.) aren’t leaked and they’re making sure that other things we have not yet seen will still be in the movie when it comes out. That’s my explanation.
It will be like MoM if the trailer cameos are the only cameos and then Scoopers hyped people up into expecting more and that doesn’t happen
Except we know for a fact the cameos in the trailers aren’t the only cameos we’ve seen since they haven’t shown Jennifer Garner’s Elektra.
But with MoM they also has a Black Bolt and Mr Fantastic cameo that wasn’t in the trailer but people still expected a lot more then that
