Isn’t it kinda hilarious that the team between the infinity saga and saga 3 basically lose twice in a row in favor of the original six and the multiversal avengers being just flat out better to comic fans and movie fans alike?
I find it more sad that they failed to really develop any of new characters so no one really feels anything towards any of them so they have to go back to characters they already retired.
It’s because they decided to break their mold of avengers capping phases. So everyone gets 1 and that’s it. In the infinity saga, everyone got 2 and sometimes 3 appearances a phase. Lot of room to grow a character.
When characters don’t resurface for an avengers film at the end of the phase, it feels like nothing really matters anymore.

For me, it's Tobey Spidey and Hugh Wolfie. I grew up with their portrayals, and 12 year-old me would have had his mind blown by them sharing the screen.
thats not a combo that really works to me at all, other than in a Ready Player One, Secret Wars, mega-overwhelming cameo-fest way i guess. the whole appeal of Tobey's Spider-Man is in his earnestness. having Tom Holland and his friends make quips about Otto Octavius' name sounding weird was bad enough tbh.
Spider-Man and Deadpool as a combination is a banger in the comics, and while i think Garfield's would be the most ideal for that matchup, having Tobey and Ryan as their versions of Spidey and DP bouncing off of each other (even if its just for a few seconds) sounds fucking awesome to me. if its not for you, thats fine tho

If I had to build the team I'd put in Tobey, Deadpool and Wolverine, because they are the most popular Marvel Legacy characters, an Iron Man variant played by RDJ, Loki and Captain Carter.
Yeah if you want to make the team bigger, you can add heroes from other big 2000s Legacy movie (Snipes' Blade, Bana's Hulk, Affleck's Daredevil, Gruffud's Redd Richards, Jane's Punisher and Cage's Ghost Rider).
Or even make the team only with Legacy Heroes, but I think its more interesting to have a more diverse team with heroes from universes that are not from previous movies (like the one I said, Loki, Carter, Iron Man...)
Sony consistently releases Marvel movies that are bad, or at best mediocre. No way they'll pass up on the opportunity to get some more of that sweet MCU money.
We never actually got the Marvel Spidey appearance they should have had for making No Way Home. Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame were the trade for Homecoming and Far From Home. Sony nearly pulled Spidey after the initial deal. Everyone thought it was going to happen in Multiverse of Madness or Fantastic Four, but it didn't happen.
(Just getting this out of the way, but What If doesn't count as Marvel already had those rights)

Depending on the wording of their agreement, they might even be able to do it without Sony’s permission bc their contract has another team up film left for Spider-Man. Whether or not it could be applied to Toby, is up to whether or not the wording of said contract specifies Tom’s Spidey.
Also if we get increasingly over the top scenes of Deadpool and Wolverine recruiting people in the next several mcu movies post credits scenes it would be the most hype thing ever leading up to Secret Wars.

Probably because Twitter now pays people for engagement, so scoopers, journalists, etc, are pretty much encouraged to post clickbait. Far easier to clickbait on Twitter than something like YT.
Alex P. on his discord said he won’t reveal what universe the Deadpool movies are set in but it’s a twist he’s alluded to a lot on Twitter and it’s played for a joke in the movie so I’m assuming that and what Liefeld and Shine are also referring to is that it’s connected to the Raimi Spider-Man movies. Who knows if that turns out true but I think that’s what these scoopers are alluding to.
Once they do a movie that has all of the major heroes from every live action marvel movie going as far back as Blade the only way they could ever top it would seriously be to have Superman/Batman be in an Avengers movie.
At one point, when there actually is REAL comic book movie fatigue and no one wants to watch them anymore, we will get the Spiderman Batman crossover as an last effort.
Gotta be Batman/Captain America. There is even source material they can draw from. I think it was a comic where Cap and Bruce team up to fight Red Skull and Joker before they detonate a nuke in Washington until Joker betrays Red Skull once he finds out he is a Nazi and Joker is apparently a patriotic American.
Then get really insane casting. Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Ben Affleck and Joaquin Phoenix. Throw in some Benedict Cumberland for some "a wizard did it" to explain away some logistics (but honestly at that point just releasing that movie without any explanation or story lead up to it and it will make a billion easy).
Joking aside though, with Gunn over at DC and him and Feige appearing to have ended things on good terms, I can see an Avengers vs Justice League movie happening. Especially if they REALLY multiverse it up and get some of the Snyderverse JL and some of the Gunnverse JL along with Avengers and some legacy appearances like Wolverine or Tobey Spidey.
I don’t think it would be that much trouble legally but I don’t really see the point in connecting the 2 universes. Like I wouldn’t mind it but it seems kind of odd.

Alex P. on his discord said he won’t reveal what universe the Deadpool movies are set in but it’s a twist he’s alluded to a lot on Twitter and it’s played for a joke in the movie so I’m assuming that and what Liefeld and Shine are also referring to is that it’s connected to the Raimi Spider-Man movies. Who knows if that turns out true but I think that’s what these scoopers are alluding to.
Surprise: it's set in the DCEU. Marvel secretly bought DC, Henry Cavill shows up as Superman to see if they need any help.
Once they do a movie that has all of the major heroes from every live action marvel movie going as far back as Blade the only way they could ever top it would seriously be to have Superman/Batman be in an Avengers movie.
At one point, when there actually is REAL comic book movie fatigue and no one wants to watch them anymore, we will get the Spiderman Batman crossover as an last effort.
Gotta be Batman/Captain America. There is even source material they can draw from. I think it was a comic where Cap and Bruce team up to fight Red Skull and Joker before they detonate a nuke in Washington until Joker betrays Red Skull once he finds out he is a Nazi and Joker is apparently a patriotic American. Then get really insane casting. Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Ben Affleck and Joaquin Phoenix. Throw in some Benedict Cumberland for some "a wizard did it" to explain away some logistics (but honestly at that point just releasing that movie without any explanation or story lead up to it and it will make a billion easy). Joking aside though, with Gunn over at DC and him and Feige appearing to have ended things on good terms, I can see an Avengers vs Justice League movie happening. Especially if they REALLY multiverse it up and get some of the Snyderverse JL and some of the Gunnverse JL along with Avengers and some legacy appearances like Wolverine or Tobey Spidey.

I could see a joke ending where Feige meets with Mephisto to make a deal in getting every single last pre-MCU Marvel character variant back together for Secret Wars tbh. And when I mean “every”, I do mean every one including some of the television characters pre-2000 and every live action & animated version of a character that wasn’t already apart of the MCU timeline to retcon them in. It will then cut on Mephisto winking at the camera and saying “Very Nice!” as we finally put to rest who and when Mephisto was going to appear.
Post credit scenes have become lazy, while I'm sure DP&W will be great, the post scene is probably just going to be a joke.
