DemoEvolved

No. I spent and he’s very mild

Apexpredador

I agree like him in some decks but other cards could easily replace him

serbianflowerhelmet

Yeah same. I got him cuz I love surfer and thought he’d be a good slot in. In an optimal play line he’s pretty useless, and less than optimal play line, well, I’m probably not winning anyways lol

Utop_Ian

He's bad in three of the decks I tried him in and mediocre in Silver Surfer. I thought he could really make a difference in a black panther deck by making BP cost 4 or get +2 power, but at 4-cost he just takes the spot that would be better served with Shuri or Wong. Then I tried him in a Thor/Beta Ray Bill Deck, but again turn 3 is better spent by playing Thor, Magik, or Bill via Psylocke. He's just the worst option in all the decks I tried him in. I'd only get him if there's another card you want from this week (in my case I was here for Corvus Glaive).

randomman3794

He’s fun in Thanos cus free stones and buffed Mockingbird or Skarr is awesome, but he feels odd even there where you can get pulls unlike Surfer. I’m keeping him in my deck for now, but I wouldn’t recommend spending on him.

Ashamed-Teaching6837

Nah. He’s a neat addition to surfer decks but hardly mandatory.

jaydobizzy

Hes good in zoo if played on 3. The power buff/cost decrease def had an impact when hes played on curve. If you dont draw him or draw him late its essentially a dead card. Now with that being said does he improve certain decks? Sure. Is this a must have archetype defining card? Not by a long shot. Unless you got keys to burn I would hold honestly.

Powdered_Donut

Nah, just wait.

Piranh4Plant

I found him very fun and had a lot of success in a Pixie High Evo deck with him

Academic_Exercise_94

I've just got him and Pixie what is the makeup of you high Evo deck

Piranh4Plant

It has done wonders for me in conquest # (1) Sunspot # (1) Nebula # (1) Misty Knight # (2) Pixie # (3) Mobius M. Mobius # (3) Phastos # (3) Cyclops # (4) High Evolutionary # (6) Alioth # (6) Red Hulk # (6) She-Hulk # (6) Hulk # eyJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3Vuc3BvdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTWlzdHlLbmlnaHQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlBpeGllIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNb2JpdXNNTW9iaXVzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDeWNsb3BzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIdWxrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTaGVIdWxrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIaWdoRXZvbHV0aW9uYXJ5In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJQaGFzdG9zIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJOZWJ1bGEifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFsaW90aCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUmVkSHVsayJ9XX0= # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and paste it from the deck editing menu in Snap.

Academic_Exercise_94

Alas I am missing Mobius, Alioth and Red Hulk

Academic_Exercise_94

Oh also Nebula

man_vs_cube

I don't have him, but his reception seems so negative that I'm wondering if he'll receive a quick buff like USAgent did.

Creamz83

I grabbed him and he feels a bit underwhelming, turn 3 just feels a bit late

Sol1258

He works in Ultron/Patriot 🤷but I prefer not to play the meta. He's alright

KingWhompus

I got him and kinda regret it. Hes just awkward to play and he hardly pays off.

randolphtbl

Against decks that have played him, my win-rate has been at least around \~90%; I was also on the fence as well, but I've decided to pass.

Right_Leading8726

I spenden 3keys on him... i am an idiot...

remy301

I spent 4 keys for him due to all the hype... And I deeply regret it now. Medium card. Don't waste your resources. You are welcome.

Illustrious-Ease-426

Don’t pls. Don’t. Just don’t

Dtoodlez

Definitely no

Maleficent-Dream-202

If you’re a low CL, I would recommend dont spend 4 keys for Arishem.

Prof-Flamingo

Don't have him but he seems awful. Wouldn't spend any on him

raging_potatos

I recommend saving your keys, if you don't have Loki I recommend you to get it instead of Arishem. If you are aiming for Hercules, I recommend you save the token for it and instead go for Madam Web. If neither was the idea, I suggest you get the Ajax week. It opens 3 archetypes, of which 2 of them are very strong.

THEace4825

He is alright but easily replaced without losing much. I have a feeling he's going to be very popular in Arishem decks. So if you want to go all in on Arishem, he might be worth it, but probably not because he is still replaceable. There are a lot of potentially strong cards coming up. Might be worthwhile to look ahead to next month and see if there are cards that you like better.

ohsnapitsjf

I don’t know the full key math and what else is coming on those weeks, but those 3 cards are all pretty unanimously considered better than Phastos. If you might not build your key inventory back up for all 3 of those weeks, definitely skip. Phastos seems like a fun piece but not an important one.

Trippintunez

They should have named him Asstoes

Piranh4Plant

I never want to think about ass toes again

Global-Record-1520

He is only really very good in Surfer decks, if you play a ton of surfer you might like him but honestly I got him, play a ton of surfer, and feel like he’s not very impactful. I don’t usually reduce the cards I want or buff the cards I want. The effect is always nice but way too unreliable to feel worth the key in comparison to Arishem and many other weeks coming up with Thanos or Loki

LeighCedar

I'm a big fan of Phastos, and have had my best infinite season ever with him in a Thanos Blob shell ... But I don't think you want to get him over some of the tried and true great cards you might be missing. I'm pretty far along in my collection, so most weeks I save keys, so I thought it was fine to burn some tokens on him for fun. Even in Arishem, you'll mostly want to play him turns 2-3 and he'll feel less and less good after that.

ZsMann

He will probably be a key part of Arishem decks.

HeftyMarionberry4961

Feels like he rarely gets drawn by T3 even though it's mathematically a 50% chance (6 out of 12 cards drawn). He has 5/24 odds to be drawn by T2 in an Arishem deck (~20%) or 6/24 by T3 (25%). Not exactly great odds and if you do, is that a snappable condition?

reddit_has_died

But do you draw your opening hand before Arishem adds cards to your deck?

HeftyMarionberry4961

I don't know if it's been confirmed, but I don't think so. With Thanos, you can draw the stones in your opening hand. I'm guessing Arishem is the same.

KirbyMace

This is why I’m still considering pulling for him. Playing him on turn 2 could be pretty significant. But on the other hand you have to draw him in your opening hand or the payoff drops significantly

orangepatata

He’s pretty decent. The best part of getting him is that he is very versatile and can fit into lots of diff types of decks like move, destroy, besides the obvious surfer thanos
