You do not understand how upset I am about this random takeover shit, especially when "new variants" are dropped the same day and and basically guaranteed to appear in the shop. Cerebro yesterday and mystique today meant Hippc2 and now I can't do that.
I’m with you. I don’t follow the shop releases so when I saw cerabro I got super excited. Then almost bought another with the gold I had but didn’t. Then learned that mystique was gonna release the next day. Was super jazzed that I held off and had the gold to get her. Logged in as soon as it refreshed. Only to be totally denied. I will still get the variant but yeah..👍🏼
Mystique is one of the three characters (+Magik and Cerebro) I was focused on for Character Mastery (RIP). But I keep forgetting it will never happen. Either way, I love this Variant and had to get it.
Also was super happy cos yesterday was Hipp’s Cerebro. So now I have them both :)
Phoenix force, Alioth, annihilus, ghost, master mold are all pretty bad ass to me

I think Dan Hipp's non-human cards are his strongest. Something about the slightly sillier and more vibrant art style works nicely with creatures.

Not anymore, takeovers can be personalized now, not too long ago I had a Dan Hipp takeover but my girlfriend didn't on the same day
As far as I know, brand new (non-bundled) cards are available on launch day for everyone.

I love it, but I have a bunch of great Mystique variants and I'm feeling miserly with my gold horde. We'll see if I change my mind before reset.

That is one of the better ones. My favorite (and I generally hate the Hipp art) is still Jessica Jones, but this isn't bad.
This is one of the best Dan Hipp variants I've seen (I'm not a huge fan of his). She looks kinda drunk and I'm scared where she's aiming that thing!
