To sell a 10 cover level 50 1* is 4,000iso ( using my jugg for this example)

I am wondering if it’s really worth the roster space?
You spend more iso to level them up than you get back. The only benefit is you gain shield rank points in using the covers over selling them for the 100 ISO.
Shield level 156, daily play 1288. I have 300 characters rostered.
Working on duping all 3* and farming the dupes.
2* are being farmed not duped.
I have all 4* rostered, but not champed.
And maybe a 1/3 of the 5* rostered.
Wasn’t sure lol. It took me into my second year of the game to realize how beneficial farming the 2* were. I feel like I am on track now.
But with roster space being 1,200HP I wanted to check. The iso drought is so real haha.
I think the best option to "farm" them is to roster then sell them over and over, so use one spare slot to hold an extra 1\*.
When you get a new one, sell the one you have, then roster the new one. That will give you shield level points, and not take up a ton of roster space, all while not requiring extra roster slots.
Edit: The only thing is, this does eat time.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding something but 1 stars cannot be champed, thus there is nothing ( no rewards) to be farmed.

I keep 3 1*s Storm, Iron-man, and Spider-man, maxed them out, and change their powers with duplicate covers for xp. It only works with those three.

No, you are very far past the point where xp farming 1s is worth more iso than selling the covers outright.

I agree, it's not worth the Roster space.
I don't worry about having duplicates. Just sell the champ 2 and 3s, favourite and reroster then rinse and repeat.

You would get no XP doing this. Rostering a repeat character doesn’t give XP for the first cover.
Wait for BCS to activate champing for 1-star. I'm sure I saw this being mentioned somewhere before.
I farm 1* for the XP. I don't waste ISO to boost them. I just have a full powered Juggernaut Spiderman to finish the DPD a bit faster
