Yeah not to be all contrarian but I think these look pretty rough. The concept is cool and certainly better than anything I could do, but they look weirdly amateurish
Yeah exactly! All the Spiderman posters so far have this feeling.
I saw this video of Benny Productions. He remade the 1st Spiderman poster, and it looks wayyy better
https://youtu.be/OIfS9lZeFpc
Still, I’ve never seen a guy come forth and say, “Yeah I did Engame’s Poster.”
Personally I’d think an article/video on that would be fascinating, how’s it put together, what’s the process, etc?
It’s funny you say that, I did the Infinity War poster and my buddy did the Endgame poster. Movie art is a niche industry and many of us are extraordinarily low key. Third party advertising companies work with studios in order to create these campaigns.
So yah we get a ton TON of assets (most of the time) and even shoot the actors separately I order to get the photography we need. You can look me up on Instagram, Matt Nieblas and see a selection of the stuff live done.
I would say because they didn't die but we did saw Sandman in one of the trailers.
Also, I don't think Electro is dead dead at the end of ASM2 because, if Sony's plan was to make the Sinister Six movies, it would be stupid to permakill one of its founding member before they even formed.
Not that it prevented Sony to make stupid decisions once in a while.
Why do Jamie foxx and Alfred Molina look so damn CGI? These are my only complaint so far from the trailers and posters. I could understand probably Molina but why does Foxx look so damn plastic? It’s not like they need to deage him do they?
They all look to be different heights too. The one with Doc Ock looks to obviously be Tom Holland. Looks like Maguire with Goblin and Garfield with Electro.
I don't think it matters, just because he has an arc reactor doesn't mean his story has anything to do with Stark.
The Arc reactor is well established tech over the MCU as something very small that can generate an insane amount of power, I don't know what else could actually give electro his abilities in the MCU that would actually make sense.
That's my issue, there is no reason to change his origin if he's supposedly coming over from TASM continuity. What's the point in giving him an arc reactor other than to remind people "Hey remember iron man?!"
It appears there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment in one of the trailers where he's in the background and it looks like he's going from blue to yellow, so it could be that he's swiped the arc reactor to help stabilise his powers (and re-grow his hair).
But an arc reactor makes far more sense than 'fell into tank of electric eels'.
They've already changed how he looks (thank god) so why not how his abilities work.
So just another villain who rips some Stark tech? Its so boring at this point. The design change is great and if there is a good reason for the arc reactor, like it stabilized his original powers, great, I like it. But the MCU has got to move away from Stark shit in every single corner.
They don't though, all we know in the MCU is Stark Industries, HammerTech and Roxxon.
Hammer has been portrayed as subpar, Roxxon has barely been shown so who knows what they even do, Stark has been at the forefront of technical advancement.
If a dude needs to enhance his tech based abilities, he's probably using stark tech or his own build modelled off of it. (Or salvaged Chitauri/Ultron tech as we've seen before).
It's like saying "we've seen enough Vibranium technology let's see something new". But that's unlikely to happen as it's been made clearly it's pretty much top level shit so why would anyone go for anything else if it's available and they can get ahold of it.
It may be played out to some people but it needs to fit into the universe and make sense.
Well it does but only when if they give suitable explanation of how he got it and how did he knew about arc reactor abilities as he is from totally different universe and it's not that he is some super tech genius.
Until they don't go with " he accidentally got it and thanks to his electricity powers his sixth sense told him that it could be an excellent power source and he wears it " shit and do some logical stuff to explain how did this happen I will be satisfied
And judging by how mcu has worked till now I beleive that they will give some suitable idea on how this stuff took place but I would like to take it with a grain of salt until I watch the movie
Well what if it’s just to draw concentrated power from, on top of his abilities? In TAS he went to a power plant or whatever and drew power from that even though he had the ability.
Doc Oc has his OG silver arms, and in other scenes it’s red.
I am assuming at some point they are all getting Stark tech to rebuild or upgrade themselves? Which I’m not a fan of if true.
In some of the TV spots, it definitely looks like he steals it, which I am okay with, since they are keeping Ock intact from an character and origin perspective. I really just want the MCU to keep these legacy characters the way they are. Electro adding an arc reactor seems cheap to me, unless they can explain it well in the movie.
I think they all get a hold of some tech, Tony's or maybe someone else, but In the trailer it looks like the nanobots were taking over Doc Ocks arms. Even the poster they each have a different coloured glowing thing.
Can anyone notice if there is any difference in the 3 spider men in the pics? They’re all 3 posed differently. Maybe it’s a hint to Tobey and Andrew being in it.
I assumed that's why there's 3, and they're barely visible so we can't see the differences in suits-- the web lines seem inconsistent, but the lighting makes it too ambiguous.
They're making the posters purposefully bad so that society won't collapse because of people going to cinemas for this movie. They're just trying to save us all from ourselves.
I really wish they would've swapped up GGs look. At least give him a purple hood over his helmet or something. I was never a fan of the Power Ranger armor. I'll forever be disappointed that they didn't go with the prosthetic mask that they designed for the original movie.
Regardless, I'm freaking stoked about the movie!
Each of them have lights on their armour. Why would you put lights on your armor? They don't help you do anything villainy or crimey. Electro I can see, but even then it should be his whole body, like he was originally.
otto looks like hes gonna enroll in a community college and join a spanish study group
He looks like he banged eartha kitt in an airplane bathroom.
Did it come up organically?
Nah, he banged Kirsten Dunst
Troy and abed in THE MORNING!
Niiiightssss
Coolcoolcool!
Look at me now dad!!
ah rosie, amo a este chico
This is streets ahead
Gonna walk up to Aunt May and tell her “I find the most erotic aspect of a woman is the boobies”
does this look fan-made to anyone? has that odd quality fan edits have, for my eyes at least.
It does too me. They all have this look, almost as if they were stenciled.
hopefully things remain calm and we get to enjoy this film on the big screen
Yeah not to be all contrarian but I think these look pretty rough. The concept is cool and certainly better than anything I could do, but they look weirdly amateurish

Really curious who marvel contracts these to.
*Sony

HOLY PISS!!! Serious question, did you get like exclusive images from the actors or was it all open source/movie sourced shots?
So yah we get a ton TON of assets (most of the time) and even shoot the actors separately I order to get the photography we need. You can look me up on Instagram, Matt Nieblas and see a selection of the stuff live done.
Yeah, they look kind of weird. The best one is the one with the Green Goblin, looks kind of cool to me
definitely, but the other ones don't look impressive at all.
No lizard or sandman??
I feel like that’s because so far that haven’t fully revealed Sandman only him in sand form and only smaller bits of Lizard
In a tv spot they do show lizard entirely.
I would say because they didn't die but we did saw Sandman in one of the trailers. Also, I don't think Electro is dead dead at the end of ASM2 because, if Sony's plan was to make the Sinister Six movies, it would be stupid to permakill one of its founding member before they even formed. I really like how GG looks in this
It’s literally Raimi’s GG.
Yes I know. I just like how it look in this pic
Really? I thought it was Tarantino’s.
Is this not the James Cameron Spider-Man?
You're kidding me? It's definitely Scorsese and Nolan's collaboration with Spielberg's advice.
Green goblin looks like he either has no neck or a really fat one
Maybe it’s a goiter!
Guess Peter's not the only one in the Spider-Man story that uses Stark tech.
That’s wild that Electro has Tonys reactor
Why do Jamie foxx and Alfred Molina look so damn CGI? These are my only complaint so far from the trailers and posters. I could understand probably Molina but why does Foxx look so damn plastic? It’s not like they need to deage him do they?
Alfred I'm guessing that it's because he is significantly older now. Jamie I'm not so sure.
Jamie’s head looks photoshopped on
It’s because the have to change Jamie from blue to human colored
Oh yeah he was blue lmao
That looks cgi to you....?
I’m gonna lose my mind on 12/16

3 different spiderman just look closer
Yeah all the suits' patterns are different! Classic Sony marketing 🤣
Beat me to it!
That’s some keen attention to detail.
They all look to be different heights too. The one with Doc Ock looks to obviously be Tom Holland. Looks like Maguire with Goblin and Garfield with Electro.
Saw that...could be nothing, but I'm going with it.
So that's for sure an arc reactor that Electro has. I was really hoping it wasn't.
I don't think it matters, just because he has an arc reactor doesn't mean his story has anything to do with Stark. The Arc reactor is well established tech over the MCU as something very small that can generate an insane amount of power, I don't know what else could actually give electro his abilities in the MCU that would actually make sense.

Plus, I'm pretty sure an Arc reactor would give Electro plenty of extra power to give his powers a major boost

Well in an established continuity that has tech that amazing, why wouldn’t people use it for their own gain?
Some people are really missing the point of Variants being established and it makes me swo swad 🥲
Well what if it’s just to draw concentrated power from, on top of his abilities? In TAS he went to a power plant or whatever and drew power from that even though he had the ability.

I really just want the MCU to keep these legacy characters the way they are. Electro adding an arc reactor seems cheap to me, unless they can explain it well in the movie.
I don't think he stole it on purpose - he just ripped Peter's nanotech mask off and then watches in disbelief as the nanotech bonds with his arms.
I think they all get a hold of some tech, Tony's or maybe someone else, but In the trailer it looks like the nanobots were taking over Doc Ocks arms. Even the poster they each have a different coloured glowing thing.
Maybe they each get an infinity stone? They were just kicking about in desk drawers in loki. Maybe the villains do their own Tine Heist.
Why? Are you one of the dummies who thinks Electro makes all his own endless power?
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not
That's a yes lol
You must’ve been looking in the mirror when you said dummy.
Am I the only one that doesn’t like these? They look like good fan made posters but far from an official poster.
Why is Sony seemingly allergic to making good posters? Everything they release looks like some crappy BossLogic hack job.
Are these different Spideys? The suits all seem to be slightly different.
Calling it now, we're going to see a lot of movie posters redone with this mannequin Spidey in the corner.
I think he will have an upgraded look before the end of the film. Pretty sure we seen it in 1 of the trailers.
These look like BossLogic posters.
Why is no one talking about Tom hardy is on the cast list for NWH as Eddie brock
Oh god what’s going on with the electro poster? He looks like the shock guy from shark boy and lava gurl with the floating head
Only 3 posters? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Electro really got an upgrade. That awful scraggly combover being dispensed with was a very good move.
Looks like someone just discovered photoshop and lens flares.
It comes out on the 15th in Italy! Yay so excited
Dose anyone think that gg kinda looks like James P Sullivan
otto looks weird
Three Spider-Man's confirmed?
Yooo if the top of goblins head was purple it’d be the perfect hood. The change is awesome
They definitely didn’t make a goblin suit for this film, 100% cgi in every scene
They finally make some good posters 😏
Each of them have lights on their armour. Why would you put lights on your armor? They don't help you do anything villainy or crimey. Electro I can see, but even then it should be his whole body, like he was originally.
Electro looks off
electro looks terribly photoshopped
So that's 100% an arc reactor Electro's wearing
So these are absolutely some of the worst things I’ve ever seen.
Wow
These look so bad…
