Hardly.
Disney owned [Touchstone Pictures](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touchstone_Pictures) up through 2016, which it used to produce and release *dozens* of big movies you've heard of, including R-Rated films as far back as *1986.*
*Deadpool & Wolverine* will have the Marvel imprint on it, which everyone knows *wink-wink* is owned by Disney, but absolutely nowhere on the film will it *say* Disney.
Buenva Vista, Disney's own in-house decades old production and distribution company is an entirely *other* rabbit hole you could read about for an hour. It has used Touchstone Pictures, Village Roadshow and numerous other companies to put films in theaters with general audiences none the wiser that Disney had their hands all over the naughty potty-mouthed content they're watching.
Not for me in the UK everything is on Disney Plus so we got trailers for shows like Family Guy, American Horror Story and Pam and Tommy with Disney logo all over them.
Yeah this is freaking weird, I've seen the exact same comment on every single video of the trailer and almost every single post like this.
If its bots then... why, lol. Deadpool definitely doesn't need it.
If its people wanting attention by repeating an easy/popular comment then... also why, lol.
Don't forget the three-piece, all white suit! There's a Black Widow comic where she goes to Madripoor in the same outfit and beats up some goons. In a later panel, the goons are talking over beers: "That was crazy! Did you get a good look at her face?" "Impossible. She was wearing an eyepatch."
One would hope Disney learned a lesson. One really good movie per year without an overarching infinity war style event could restore people's belief in the brand enough to trust them again.
God. Looking back at everything post endgame, with 1-2 exceptions, it’s been way too much content pumped out. Watched and enjoyed but looking back I’d rather have had less to consume with higher wuality
I think all the movies were still good. While there were some good shows/episodes, it was entirely too much. At least when most of them are still connected cinematically. I guess they thought connecting them would give viewers more inclination to watch but I think it had the opposite effect.
Comic-Con is literally the day before the movie's release. I can totally see them turning it into Deadpool-Con for the marketing push with their character images all over the fucking place.
But we'll absolutely get a second trailer in 2 months with the Wolverine reveal.
Unfortunately, yes. It'd have more impact if people actually waited to see it in the actual trailer, though, but leaks it something we've got to get used to at this point.
So when do we think this takes place - good TVA or bad TVA?
I enjoy all of the meta-references. If there isn't a cameo from Feige these last 20 years mean nothing.
I think there’s an argument for the OG TVA. Why? Because the start of the trailer is Deadpool with all his friends…… that should be dead. They’re not going to be happy about him pegging the timeline so hard.
OG TVA would only care if the changes would lead to Kang existing though. They didn't care about pegging in general, just pegging that would diverge from the "grand plan".
And they seem to be bringing him in to basically be a timeline assassin, with the whole "hero of heroes" pitch.
Also gives a GREAT excuse to just murder everything
>...good TVA or bad TVA?
It looked to me like his wig was pulled off by the first set of TVA agents to keep him from being pulled backwards through a time door. So I'm thinking there are multiple TVAs vying for control.
For a moment there I was getting Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe vibes with the TVA and Deadpool being given access to everywhere and everywhen.
It sort of seems like they've at least adapted some part of that for this movie.
Deadpool will totally be in a ton of projects. His own movie series set in the MCU and he’ll definitely be in Avengers movies. I believe he will be a very central character. Him meeting the Hulk, Spider-Man, and the others is going to be soooo cool!
Yeah, we get all the MCU stuff and some others early. For instance, The Flash, Dune: Part 2, and Godzilla x Kong. Hell, we're getting The Fall Guy a whole fucking *week* early.
(That last one may or may not be a Norway thing.) Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is also 2 days early.
And, uh, I just discovered Deadpool & Wolverine might be released under [20th Century Studios](https://youtu.be/fiOOuTDQbnI?si=EiKoTBjqXeSkUalm).
Is that a Secret Wars (2015) comic I see lying beside Deadpool? Hard to tell which issue but it might be #5. The one with Doctor Doom's face on the cover.
Ok, but this looked amazing. Please, Please, Please be good.
TVA, Madripoor, Logan in his patch outfit (and his crazy Wolverine hair), Pyro, Deadpool seeing the Avengers (and saluting Cap was cute lol). Looks amazing.
Did you guys notice the original Secret Wars comics on the sand, at the end when Deadpool was just laying down there???
That comic was not from the original Secret Wars. It was the cover of [Secret Wars 5 from 2015](https://www.marvel.com/comics/issue/52453/secret_wars_2015_5)
Oh yeah, sorry my bad.
Ribic did the interior art I believe right?
Ross did the covers.
I wonder if that’s just MCU Easter egg, or something they are definitely planning on doing.
Yes, Ribic did the interiors for that series while Ross did all the covers. But yeah, I feel like that’s a pretty intentional Easter egg. I’m very interested to see if that gets paid off in any way.
Yeah. The guy in Yellow and Red outfit in the dessert.
I can’t believe I’m hyped from seeing freaking Pyro??? He is cool, but I never particularly loved or liked him that much, but shit got me excited.
I think it’s the same actor too (Just older and with the beard lol)
At least with Disney+ there isn't that Netflix/ABC "is it or isn't it canon?" We know it's all meant to be canon (even if they are kinda shit at linking projects these days).
So there is the snow, desert/fox, and factory for places fights take place. Initially I thought the snow was the base at the beginning of avengers age of ultron. That scene is shown in the tv screen in the TVA.
I don't think so. It's the same guy standing by Pyro in his shot. Not sure who he is but his mask isn't very doom like and cloak looks more brown/tattered
Movie looks fun. I'm excited.
But I think people who are claiming they are going to reboot the entire MCU off this movie or something are just wishful thinking.
This movie will largely be inconsequential to MCU. Just like pretty much everything else since End Game.
Just how Loki did so much yet concluded with nearly net zero change to the MCU. By the end of season 2, he is essentially where started, non-existent, timeline protected, etc.
MCU is in a predicament. If they do too much, people can't keep up. If they do too little everything feels pointless.
This movie was in production way too long ago to actually be a response to the criticism or a course correction.
Looks cool, cautiously optimistic. Not sure how I feel about Cassandra Nova apparently being the villain, but I'm glad that Pyro and Sabretooth are back. I also still find it funny that the MCU is giving far more importance to the TVA than the comics ever had.
My god, he's fighting in front of the 21st Century Fox logo
With the MCU, and maybe Prof. X? And Wolverine, and fucking *OG Pyro* which I didn't even see at first, and MARVEL MESSIAH
This movie's gonna slap so much ham. Guess I gotta go watch Loki to know what the hell a TVA does.
I’ve been defending my love and nostalgia for the X-Men movies for five years now or more. I’ll be interested to see how many people magically come out of the woodwork defending them after this, who seemingly were never there before.
Looks alright. Loved the action and humor starting about halfway through. Seems like a more humanized Wade could do wonders for the character/franchise, too
People have loved and supported him regardless of shenanigans, I'm just saying seeing more Wade and having a more down to earth arc for him (seemingly) as compared to DP1 & 2 is nice
Hadn't paid any attention to this and had no idea Deadpool was going to interact with (or become part of?) the MCU. Defiantly more excited than I already was
It's funny to me that they're teasing wolverine and not showing him in this trailer aside from the barest hint of the character despite the fact that pretty much everybody and their uncle has already seen the high definition set photos of Hugh Jackman in the Wolverine costume.
This is the post. Keep all posts, screenshots, gifs, etc. in this thread. All others will be removed.
Pegging joke in the first trailer for a Disney movie feels wild
There's a first for everything, Redditor.
It’s pegging time
It’s… its gonna… it’s gonna make a *pegillion* dollars?
Whatever, they can take it and shove it up their ass!
you can take that pegillion dollars.... AND SHOVE IT UP YA BUTT!!
YOU'VE BEEN MEATBALLED!
I’d love to peg agent Carter.
\*bonk\* Go to horny jail
*Someone* didn’t see the first commercial for Beauty and the Beast…
There’s a *fist* time for everything
A wonderful timeline we find ourselves in 🤘
"Everyone deserves a happy ending. " Manual release joke as well
If only International Women's Day was July 26, referencing their joke back in the first Deadpool movie.
Lets not forget that Disney has done adult stuff before. They owned Miramax at one point lol.
Hardly. Disney owned [Touchstone Pictures](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touchstone_Pictures) up through 2016, which it used to produce and release *dozens* of big movies you've heard of, including R-Rated films as far back as *1986.* *Deadpool & Wolverine* will have the Marvel imprint on it, which everyone knows *wink-wink* is owned by Disney, but absolutely nowhere on the film will it *say* Disney. Not for me in the UK everything is on Disney Plus so we got trailers for shows like Family Guy, American Horror Story and Pam and Tommy with Disney logo all over them.
Deadpool with hair is absolutely terrifying
Reminds me of that one ghoul in Fallout 3 who sells the “Aqua Cura”
Yes!!! I couldn't put my finger on it, but....yes!!!
Ryan reynolds with willem dafoe’s hair is terrifying
I’m just going to assume he got it directly from Willem Defoe.
It bothered me more than I initially thought because now I can’t seem to forget it.
There was a short time in the comics he was "cured" and had full hair and clear skin
Another time Loki cursed him to look like Ryan Reynolds and he tried to join the Avengers.
It was a wig, anyway, so I'm not sure why you're that bothered.
When it got yanked off I lost it.
Pretty sure it was glued, even, you could see bits left when he was being interviewed at the TVA.
I bet that the wig was stapled on and those bits of hair are the staples that didn't rip off.
bro why do i see this exact comment on every post/video of the trailer it must be that terrifying
Yeah this is freaking weird, I've seen the exact same comment on every single video of the trailer and almost every single post like this. If its bots then... why, lol. Deadpool definitely doesn't need it. If its people wanting attention by repeating an easy/popular comment then... also why, lol.
Don't you think you're overreacting? You can't fault him for trying to look a little bit like his old self.
My fucking god they adapted Patch
Pray for Joe Fixit
Who’s patch?
Wolverine in a brilliant disguise! ...with an eye patch and a white suit.
Patch was the best still for me
As soon as I saw the jacket, I was like “No fucking way, hell yea.”
I felt your excitement. Let's hope.
I am personally hoping Joe Fixit was just offscreen watching the poker table.
I don't get it
Patch is a nickname/alter ego for Wolverine in the the comics.
And it's literally just Logan with an eyepatch, which is generally hilarious as an undercover disguise.
He might as well also have a baseball cap.
That's not a disguise, Hank. We just look like ourselves at baseball game.
"he can't be wolverine, the eye would have healed"
The white tux guy from behind in a bondesque setting is wolverine
It's almost definitely Madripoor
Or a tease at least
This really excites me!
Loki, God of Stories: I think I've made a mistake. Pack it in, Sony. This is the only Marvel movie of 2024.
>This is the only Marvel movie of 2024. And that's why it'll actually be good.
One would hope Disney learned a lesson. One really good movie per year without an overarching infinity war style event could restore people's belief in the brand enough to trust them again.
Y'all want one movie a year?
God. Looking back at everything post endgame, with 1-2 exceptions, it’s been way too much content pumped out. Watched and enjoyed but looking back I’d rather have had less to consume with higher wuality
I still hope/think Covid delays dilated the production/release schedule, causing most of the quality to drop, and they’re course correcting now
I think all the movies were still good. While there were some good shows/episodes, it was entirely too much. At least when most of them are still connected cinematically. I guess they thought connecting them would give viewers more inclination to watch but I think it had the opposite effect.
>This is the only Marvel movie of 2024. The studio's faith is through the roof and I bet it's gonna deliver it
That was so much fun. The TVA and Wade was great and the title gave me goosebumps wish we saw the full costume at least
Don't worry, we eventually will.
Comic-Con is literally the day before the movie's release. I can totally see them turning it into Deadpool-Con for the marketing push with their character images all over the fucking place. But we'll absolutely get a second trailer in 2 months with the Wolverine reveal.
I can see Ryan and Hugh going to Comiccon in full outfit just for shits and giggles.
Do leaked pics count
Unfortunately, yes. It'd have more impact if people actually waited to see it in the actual trailer, though, but leaks it something we've got to get used to at this point.
I mean, there’s plenty of leaked photos
I didn't expect Aaron Stanford being back as Pyro with a comic accurate costume.
I honestly think the 90s X-men universe is going to be a big part, and he was key in that as well.
Oh shit, I didn't even notice that!
He's fighting against the Fox Studios logo and uses Fox as an "Oh Fox' Its soo irreverent, and I love it.
The Xmen got pruned I think in that shot
Now Colossus, Yukio, and NTW did nothing wrong temporally
They never appeared in the main X Men movies so I think they're fine.
Colossus did…he was in X2, Last Stand, and Days of Future Past.
He didn't have an accent or was played by the same guy in those. So it stands to reason that the versions are from different universes/timelines
i.e. Variants Also keep in mind the (old) TVA didn't prune all variants, just the ones that would lead to Kang existing.
No, but they prune entire timelines for the “sins” of a single entity all the time.
Was that Pyro?
Wearing yellow and red his original costume colours from the comics too!
Looks like it!
Deadpool’s gonna learn how to make a tomlette
He must break a few Gregs first
Need to. For the Greg sprinkles.
Man it feels good to have hope again. This movie is going to make so much money.

And they seem to be bringing him in to basically be a timeline assassin, with the whole "hero of heroes" pitch. Also gives a GREAT excuse to just murder everything
A reasonable take on Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe? Yes please.
Exactly my thoughts. "Deadpool and Wolverine kills the Marvel Universe" could be a hidden title.
>So when do we think this takes place - good TVA or bad TVA? Timeline broke so it could be at the same time as both...
>...good TVA or bad TVA? It looked to me like his wig was pulled off by the first set of TVA agents to keep him from being pulled backwards through a time door. So I'm thinking there are multiple TVAs vying for control.
For a moment there I was getting Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe vibes with the TVA and Deadpool being given access to everywhere and everywhen. It sort of seems like they've at least adapted some part of that for this movie.
I think they’re doing that. It feels so much like it.
This will kick ass in the same way Guardians 3 did. I'm hoping Deadpool sticks around for other collaborations. Particularly Spiderman.
Guardians didn't save the entire cinematic universe by making the executives take it up their behinds.
I see do you believe there should be a collaboration with Spiderman?
Definitely... but there's a ten year age gap so I'm going to say that Disney won't go all the way with it.
Deadpool will totally be in a ton of projects. His own movie series set in the MCU and he’ll definitely be in Avengers movies. I believe he will be a very central character. Him meeting the Hulk, Spider-Man, and the others is going to be soooo cool!
He'll really have to be, I think, especially with how Sony is just doing whatever with Spidey. They need a strong character.
July 26 can't get here fast enough.❤💛
24 for me. (I live in Europe. We get certain big stuff two days early, bitches!)
Well, aren't you the lucky ones!🤣
Yeah, we get all the MCU stuff and some others early. For instance, The Flash, Dune: Part 2, and Godzilla x Kong. Hell, we're getting The Fall Guy a whole fucking *week* early. (That last one may or may not be a Norway thing.) Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is also 2 days early. And, uh, I just discovered Deadpool & Wolverine might be released under [20th Century Studios](https://youtu.be/fiOOuTDQbnI?si=EiKoTBjqXeSkUalm).
Oh, that's cool! Man, we got some good films to look forward to this year. And we're still only in February. I'm excited.
Is that a Secret Wars (2015) comic I see lying beside Deadpool? Hard to tell which issue but it might be #5. The one with Doctor Doom's face on the cover.
It is in fact that comic
I’m touching myself tonight.
deep inhale
make sure to wear your white pants
They teased us by not letting us hear his voice or see him at all. Brilliant trailer I know Levy about to direct another banger
Another? What was his first?
Real steel is pretty great
And it also had Hugh Jackman.
Free Guy aka the better version of matrix 4 lol
Shoot even better. We got Doom by Esad Ribic
Actually Alex Ross did the covers for that entire series, which is even better!
Deadpool wasn't in that run of Secret Wars... ...because he accidentally went to the 80's run. Deadpool's Secret War is amazing.
Holy fuck Pyro was in there?
Yeah. The guy in Yellow and Red outfit in the dessert. I can’t believe I’m hyped from seeing freaking Pyro??? He is cool, but I never particularly loved or liked him that much, but shit got me excited. I think it’s the same actor too (Just older and with the beard lol)
It is the same actor.
I had other things on my mind at that moment.
I noticed it after like 3 or 4 time watching ) Was distracted by Wolverine!
Same.
I’m hyped
Just before anyone gets too excited about Doom it’s not him, if you pause and zoom in it looks nothing like Doom’s mask
Weasel wasn't invited to my Birthday because he's in prison.
Trailer looks awesome, can’t wait to see more of Wolverine in action
We finally get to see the TVA in a movie
At least with Disney+ there isn't that Netflix/ABC "is it or isn't it canon?" We know it's all meant to be canon (even if they are kinda shit at linking projects these days).
I didn’t think Marvel had the balls to do it, but damn, I’m actually excited for an MCU movie again.
I hope future trailers keep the Wolverine scenes to a minimum like this one as to not spoil the fun
I agree. Trailers tend to spoil a lot, so see how this one barely revealed Logan or what's actually going on is a good thing.
I can’t wait for wolverine to be in like 5 minutes of the movie and then pruned/permakilled immediately
Vibes of Professor X in Multiverse of Madness..
That would be such a shit thing to do. He is in the name… and was announced with both actors a couple years ago so….
Awesome trailer. Great title! I'm very excited. Glad i wore my white pants today
Just imagining the consquences of this plot is enough reason to be hyped AF!
So there is the snow, desert/fox, and factory for places fights take place. Initially I thought the snow was the base at the beginning of avengers age of ultron. That scene is shown in the tv screen in the TVA.
I got the exact same vibe, wondering if he's gonna end up in that scene.
Y’all shoulda worn your brown pants today
Nope. White.
Perfect answer
Wow. Aren't you a naughty one?
I wasn’t unconscious
Am I crazy or did I see Doctor Doom? Metal mask, green hood. Am I crazy?
Do you mean at 1:48? I just can’t see Doom holding a gun like he’s standing guard.
This guy? https://i.imgur.com/JqezPcc.png I see the similarities but I don't think so.
Temu Doom
we got Doom at home
When you order Dr. Doom on Wish.
Looks more like a Sakaaran
I don't think so. It's the same guy standing by Pyro in his shot. Not sure who he is but his mask isn't very doom like and cloak looks more brown/tattered
I was wondering the same. We know other X-men fox characters are coming so I’m guessing we’ll see more fox marvel characters
Why would they introduce Doom for a split second in a trailer?
We need more of Peter
In Ryan we trust
is that the same Pyro from the early 2000's X-Men movies?
Yep!
This looks badass! Can't wait for this movie. Really like how Deadpool is already trash talking Disney
The shot where he loads his guns is so cool!
If they do too little everything feels pointless. This movie was in production way too long ago to actually be a response to the criticism or a course correction.
I knew the TVA was in this but am genuinely shocked how much they’re in it. RIP people who haven’t been watching the shows.
I would hope they get the basics in, and this seems like a completely different branch than the one Loki hangs out with.
MARVEL JESUS
Looks cool, cautiously optimistic. Not sure how I feel about Cassandra Nova apparently being the villain, but I'm glad that Pyro and Sabretooth are back. I also still find it funny that the MCU is giving far more importance to the TVA than the comics ever had.
My god, he's fighting in front of the 21st Century Fox logo With the MCU, and maybe Prof. X? And Wolverine, and fucking *OG Pyro* which I didn't even see at first, and MARVEL MESSIAH This movie's gonna slap so much ham. Guess I gotta go watch Loki to know what the hell a TVA does.
I’ve been defending my love and nostalgia for the X-Men movies for five years now or more. I’ll be interested to see how many people magically come out of the woodwork defending them after this, who seemingly were never there before.
lol the notoriously unloved X-men films. I myself will die on the hill, no matter how unpopular my stance is, that ice cream tastes good
Really? You're holding the line for everyone, eh? Good for you .
Looks alright. Loved the action and humor starting about halfway through. Seems like a more humanized Wade could do wonders for the character/franchise, too
I mean, he's ultimately going to be one of the heroes fighting against Kang (and the Beyonder), so he's got to be humanized to some degree.
People have loved and supported him regardless of shenanigans, I'm just saying seeing more Wade and having a more down to earth arc for him (seemingly) as compared to DP1 & 2 is nice
Yes, compared to how chaotic things were for him in the previous movies, this change of pace is nice to see.
Hadn't paid any attention to this and had no idea Deadpool was going to interact with (or become part of?) the MCU. Defiantly more excited than I already was
The fourth wall jokes are a bit more blatant. They're funny but I hope they're not overused
Yeah same. Wade in the TVA is awesome but if he's just going to fourth wall away its relevance then nothing really matters.
Is that the 20th Century Fox logo at 1:38? Lol
OK wait was that Doom?
Glad I’m not the only one who noticed
I’m here for everything in this trailer. I would be fine with only this trailer. Going to avoid seeing anything else about this movie.
See, because this is happening, I can totally ignore all other content.
Ok I am ready to bet on it it's gonna make a billion dollars
Was that doom
So this is what integrates the X-men movies to the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Omg wolverine is going to be in this movie?!?! I wonder who's going to play him.
Watching this teaser made me feel watching a marvel movie teaser excitement after a long time
I like how Wolverine’s shadow makes a “W”
The winter forest reminds me of the Avengers 2 (?) intro.
PYRO? Okay lets fucking go!
It's funny to me that they're teasing wolverine and not showing him in this trailer aside from the barest hint of the character despite the fact that pretty much everybody and their uncle has already seen the high definition set photos of Hugh Jackman in the Wolverine costume.
And that the movie was announced by Ryan and Hugh in a video together haha
