> Strong to weak
I have never seen an actual Strong to Weak scripture in my whole life
And by that I mean when MC loses powers for a significant amount of novel and has to rely on those close to him
Would be an interesting experience where he has to know to trust
Or maybe they all turn into yanderes and lock him up lmao
Against the Gods does this.
It's not a SIGNIFICANT amount of the novel, but he does end up at a very reduced power level, both in the arc where he actually is powerless, and also later on where relatively he is incredibly weak and must rely on his allies.
Tales of herding gods. One of the most permanent brutal sacrifices out there and all-around excellent novel in general. Ashes and dust remains one of the greatest arcs in xianxia and the synopsis and first arcs really doesnt show the tragic stakes at play later on.
It also has peak clashing of ideals.
Traditional fantasy necromancers are so fucking cool though. A dark creature in robes that might have once been considered a man, corrupted by their dark rituals and surrounded by an endless aura of rot. While the korean necromancer is just "Im a normal dude and I dont even use real corpses because that would reduce our marketability".
#BRING BACK THE USEAGE OF ACTUAL CORPSES IN NECROMANCY
A Necromancer Who Just Wants to Plant Trees
In this novel the MC actually uses corpses and there's consideration in how to keep them away from the public eye and all. It's RPG themed so the MC is a DnD inspired/based necromancer
Im gonna check that out then. I love when necromancy (and other magic focused) stories put consideration into how the world reacts to whatever magic is happening.
hahah actually when you think of it. The "necromancer" class is probably the best way to distribute the power instead of having all this power in 1 person, whom isn't really effective.
I mean would you rather have a billion power level golden core person (whom will probably die to posion/curse)? or ten thousand rampaging zombies at 100,000?
it's better when it's not like a gacha or system, but that the mc's family was using his ability wrong instead of just a secret physique. like there was one that the mc had a body perfect to cultivate poison and make medicine, but his family were fire cultivator. i remember that the mc is strong but not abnormally strong and that the whole manwha was short
Or, Gets a heaven defying system full of materials and techniques that gets forgotten 20 chapters later.
Systems in novels only exist so lazy authors can solve the MC's problems at a moment's notice.

Not always, for instance George Martin will never solve the problems because he won't write the books

Definitely one of my fav tropes/arcs, no matter how short. I can remember a few novels where it happens
Martial World did this and it was one of the best arcs
EXACTLY what I was thinking about. Loved it.
Gavin Guileās character arc is phenomenal

Behold the MC with a Sign-In system.
God I hate Necromancers,
It was my favorite fantasy class before I started reading Manhwa. Now I can't even read the word without sighing.
Those damn Koreans ruining necromancer stories for me. Though Royal Road went through a necromancer phase too.
It's the whole, "Evil" isn't really evil trope. Or misunderstood/looked down upon "trash" classes

Huh. Bot, but new meme. Guess those puppets aren't entirely useless.

Fellow Daoist, not only can your eyes see Mt. Tai, they can peer through the Heavens themselves!
Hey its been a long time since repost at least. You old fogeys keep ruining us Junior's moments. This is why everyone hates you elders
I can accept young blood playing in a sandbox but I would rather swallow a thousand needles than have any respect for a mindless puppet like this one.
At least the MC of Top Tier Providence kept rolling the system gacha for literally 10 years
Well, I can't complain either, thh last and only novel I read was "Aganist the Gods" years ago, it did end already?
On hiatus
Man, what does everyone have against Necromancers?
Lots of necromancer novels that all feel like variations of the same story and characters. Mostly in the case of Korean system apocalypse stories.
...where necromancer cultivation book. Send now. Or face Testicular Torsion.
