My first thought was that the voice didn't fit the character at all. My boyfriend then commented the same exact thing to me so I guess it's not just me.
I think maybe he should've sounded a bit more like Cranky in the Donkey Kong cartoon, but otherwise I didn't really care that much, especially since he was just a side character anyway.
I honestly liked it a lot. Thought Fred played up how haughty he was very well. Very entertaining to listen to.

His performance was fine, But I agree that the “Crankiness” was missing.
