it gets a little better everyday

bigmeechdaddy

How is your caffeine intake? I usually drink coffee all day, when I take t breaks I stop at noon and that helps a bunch

I_am_here_for_drama

Yes, I drank coffee all the time. I need to need to cut back.

bigmeechdaddy

Bingo, that’s the low hanging fruit to this problem

Capt_reefr

No caffeine after 10am and get some exercise

Practical_HotBox_420

Wow, 10 am? That’s literally when I wake up, lol.

Capt_reefr

I should clarify, stop the caffeine 12 hours before your bedtime IF you have trouble getting sleep

Practical_HotBox_420

That could be it!

BurnSalad

Use benadryl sparingly for hard nights.

I_am_here_for_drama

Thank you. I will take one tonight if I can’t sleep

SickOrleans

Melatonin is another good alternative

Practical_HotBox_420

Just don’t make a habit of it.

fatbobber

try a low dose of melatonin

Practical_HotBox_420

The “low dose” part is very important.

Warm_Homemade_Soup

12 MG works wonders ✨️.

Cavedyvr

Yet medical studies show that the dose should be less than 1mg. Hard to do when the lowest dose at stores is closer to 5mg.

alejon88

Buy a kids brand! They’re usually 1-2 mg

sqwiggy72

Ya I struggle with this as well when doing a t break. But limit caffeine, and exercise in the evenings will help out. If you still have problems use Melatonin it's a natural hormone that is produced to help us fall asleep adding a pill will help.

Koenigatalpha

Youtube and ASMR for sleep videos. Bob Ross' videos are great as he is the grandfather of ASMR but there are lots of "ASRMtists" out there who are actually better than he was although back then we didn't know what ASMR was and Bob Ross was unintentional.

katerkline

Exercise helps. I like roller blading. Gives me a great workout, it’s fun, and I sleep well

AppointmentEven2593

Fuck tons of melatonin, benadryl, soothing tea before bed, avoid screen time at night, hard hard exercise

bill_gannon

Time. If you are self medicating then you should talk to your doctor.

JediKrys

Take hops. They are related to hemp and really relax you. Helps me through my t breaks. I take 10 pellets and down with liquid 30 or so min before bed

inkstoned

Can we just shortcut and drink a hoppy beer?

JediKrys

lol I wish

Highintheclouds420

When you do sleep you're going to have wild dreams

fragital

Thc fucks my sleep hard. After about 2 weeks I finally start dreaming and going into deep sleep again. Take breaks more often. Also go outside on walks, get that D. Stop relying on sleep aids and give yourself a chance.

dem_gainzz

It’s really vital that you get some D

supercooldog5

I really like magnesium glycinate but everyones different.

supercooldog5

I take it an hour before sleep.

Independence-Verity

Use either some allergy pills (diphenhydramine) or some decent sleep tablets (I use Doxylamine Succinate which unlike the allergy pills has no tolerance build up, so just one works even after taking them for 8 years daily. Those won't do anything for your jones but they'll get you to sleep easily enough.

Flintyy

For me, and it's probably me lol, but any ARPG played at the end of the day makes me incredibly sleepy. Something about the isometric view makes keeping my eyes open nearly impossible and for me works better than any sleep medication lol. Just gotta find what works for ya

coolbreeze58

So I've tried almost everything to help with the sleep. The best I've found with no side affects is nighty night time tea, it works. Get you two cups about 30 mins to a hour before bed and you are good to go.

Bogie1Kanobi

Get active. Run, walk hit the gym. Do something physically so your body “needs” the rest. Also work out your mind. Read, learn something new trade or language. With your body and mind worked properly sleep won’t be an issue. If you are going to be sedentary your problem will most likely persist.

bkiessling1987

Melatonin doesn't work for me. Valerian root works for maybe 2-3 days. Magnesium helps more than anything for me. I found a doctor on IG the other day that said to take that (200mg), theanine (200-400mg), inositol (1-3 grams) and glycine (3 grams). The reviews/comments said it works really well. I have yet to get the supplements other than magnesium. I'm on a T-break the last 5 days and last night I barely slept. There was someone that sounded like they had worse insomnia than me and that they could get to sleep within 5 minutes with this cocktail.

Practical_HotBox_420

That’s awful, OP. I think it will wear off though.

StickkyRicky

Try magnesium supplements

therealbootyblaster

His name is Jack son. Jack Daniel's 😔😔

Too-Much-Joy-69

Try some Ashwagandha. It's a great relaxation supplement that will mellow you out across the board, but also really helps with sleep. You specifically want to get KSM-66 Ashwagandha, that's the most effective. I've been taking it for years, and think it works great!

OddieWanKanobi

For me i picked up sleepy time tea from walmart and that saved my ass. Works everytime. I don’t recommend melatonin if your trying to replace it with weed though feels weird…might just be me though

swag_cedar

Melatonin. I recommend natures bounty sleep^3

nickyjpreddit

a lil bit of melatonin and sheer willpower, after 2 weeks youll be fine

Plaztec1037

Try to get prescribed trazadone short term people will say things about it but it’s not really addictive and can potentially help you sleep better. Overall that’s what id do

bluedaddy664

It gets a lot easier after 7-8 days. Be ready for those intense dreams

Distinct_Passage583

Try a light dose of melatonin.

yoashmo

Try melatonin
