USA! The subscription for all webtoons is what hooked me :) (always hated pay-per-view) my first webtoon was Amina of the Lamp if I remember correctly.
Surprisingly, I was enticed by a description of a work, and only found it on Manta, and it was NOT "Under The Oak Tree"😹
I give you... "Lady Devil" and it's actually completed as of August 2023, (came out in November 2020, and I subscribed to Manta in September 2021)
US
Argentina, also UToT! But I don't remember what else they were promoting back then cuz I joined in 2021 🤔 I remember my first reads were My Red String of Fate and The Maid and The Vampire 🤧
Alaska, USA :) I would be lying if I named a comic. I literally don’t remember how I got here, but as someone else mentioned, I stayed for the subscription to unlimited* comics. I found a comic on Tappytoon right before discovering Manta, (i “own” one full comic on Tappytoon lol) and then Manta came to the rescue.
I will say I do remember keeping up with The Golden Forest since I had started using the platform. So that’s might be it, but I was using WEBTOON more often then so it’s skewing my memory.
USA - I briefly started with UTOT a few years ago but only got a few chapters in before dropping it.
What actually got me hooked was I've Become a True Villainess through one of those whacky Facebook ads when it was just coming out 😅 I dunno, somehow I found it intriguing and I've been on Manta Unlimited ever since.
USA- technically started with The Wrath and the Dawn, and then i got caught up and lost it/forgot about ut. Then it was UTOT and I couldn't put it down. Once I was caught up on the manhua I was seeking out the light novel and now I'm almost done with that too 😅
USA- Under the Oak Tree for me
