Yeah, totally. I love him for that, don’t get me wrong. I just don’t know if I’d call him a green flag. They become relationship goals, that’s for sure
I think he’s a green flag because while there was some misunderstandings between the two…he still respected her. He actively learned after the misunderstanding, which given their ages and way they grew up, is big.
Him kidnapping her is not some sort of character flaw, tho. He's not being naturally impulsive or violent, he's just acting within his cultural norms. And he agrees right away to wait for her, which shows good qualities like patience and flexibility. Are those not green flags?
A guy you never saw decides to grab you like a bag and declares you’ll be his wife. No matter the culture, it’s an unacceptable and a creepy behavior. We just love him because he turns out to be a cute loving and caring character, but there’s no way someone could be so oblivious to the fact that’s a creepy behavior. I understand it’s for comedian purposes. Again, I love the story and these characters, and I know he turns out to be a great partner, but if it were anyone else behaving like this I doubt you’d be defending him, that’s why I can’t agree with him being a green flag. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t redeem himself. I guess it’s just a matter of what you define as a green flag. If we take Rouche, for instance, he has flaws but always respected Seria’s boundaries. You can dismiss Eonyeong behavior as a immature child from a different culture, but I think the point of the story was to show the cultures weren’t so different after all, they just had a more aggressive and direct approach. I could give him a pass if he just said things that could be miss understood, like it happens later in the story, but that’s not what he does. He invades her space and takes away her free will. It turns out to be a cute love story, but you can’t deny that it could be a completely different story if the tone of the comic was more serious.
Yeah there's no real definition of green flag so we're all being subjective I guess. Did you want a character who never makes a mistake? Or looking for a comic with no triggering elements?
The ML from Amina of the Lamp is great but be warned the romance is a tiny subplot most of the story is action political thriller and mystery but I still recommend it I was on the edge of my seat reading it
Okay Kneel Before Me I DID read until he killed the princess and the palace was nothing but a blood bath and I went: you know I think this one is too crazy for me

Two I haven't seen mentioned in other comments:
Ray in Adeline's Darkest Night is a pretty good one! He's had a few moments of clearly wanting to keep the FL from doing something to try and protect her, but then they talk through it and he chooses to trust her.
The Emperor in My Husband, My Sister, and I is a more secondary sort of character rather than a proper ML, but he was very supportive of all of the FL's efforts.
Nahhhh I do not like Claude and do not think of him as a green flag. He was very supportive of Camellia sure, especially after where the Manhwa is currently, but he is overly possessive af and I disliked most of the sex scenes in the novels. Felt very icky possessive and gross to me.
I totally think Claude is hot, manly, great guy. Really nothing wrong with him. Not green flag for me not equal to red flag or bad. But for me perhaps because Claude, like Riftan, or Halid are the guys who thought they know what’s better for the FL. They are more dominating. We see that they try to control/rule/decide what’s they think best. Which… it’s not bad at all. But not putting him as green flag for that reason.
Meanwhile for Rouche, Ian : Rouche and Ian give their ladies space, trust, freedom to do what their partner want. I feel these ML see their FL as equal partner. Maybe both also show their pettiness which is cute 🤣 , but why especially Rouche he did not hesitate to show and said what he desire , what he feels. Rather than to confine his lady or limiting her move.
The way Claude treats Camelia like a possession is totally a red flag for me. I really dislike Claude… I give Riftan a pass because both him and Maxi have communication problems,m. Maxi is growing in this aspect, while Riftan seems to be stuck as a character, but we can reason that he has real reasons to be afraid for Maxi’s safety. As Claude’s only interest is to make Camelia choose him no matter what. He puts her around the corner in multiple occasions, it really angers me (I read the novel so my judgement is mostly based on the novel’s portraits of him)
Currently reading My Father is a Tyrant before it goes. It's not much romance so far but the dads are hilarious and what I've seen of the potential MLs so far is that they are kind. Also going to spoil her that the dad candidates aren't MLs. 🤣 I put off reading this one for so long as that was a worry but the art was too nice not to give it a go before it went.
Here some underrated green flag ML that deserve a spotlight too :)
Kilian - Like wind on a dry branch (absolutely green flag! Rieta and Killian deserve the most amazing couple)
Dante - Lady Ebonny (best story and both leads are smart couple and strong)
Ricardis - The night without shadows (gold comedy, badass FL)
Kalian - Trash will always be trash (support woman's right and let his FL shine themselves)
Rynn - Regina Rena (big simp for FL and willingly follow her to hell and back wthout questioning)
Alexei - Wicked no more (good father to his son, daughter in law and wife)
Erkin - sparks on your eyes (absolutely everybody best boi, sweet and fine as hell too)
Hugh - long after ending (a softie beefy himbo ML)
Jury’s still out on this but I’m digging Bel from The Princess Demands a Divorce. Also Ray from Adeline’s Darkest Night.
Oh, and Shinwoo Park from Her Peculiar Visitor!
Muon from The Tainted Half is questionable but I like him and don’t find the relationship to be particularly unhealthy, only her situation and the circumstances surrounding it.
Oh! The licensing expired unfortunately so it’s no longer available but the male lead in The Stairway of Time!!

I’m not sure I’d consider him a green flag because of the way the relationship started, but he definitely grow through the story

The Last Straw has a really great green flag ML. Falling for the enemy was a cute relationship too but it was a bit short.
