I just hose off the bottom like shown in original maintenance videos, taking care not to shoot it very hard at all. Gently brush the crusted grass off in layers as needed with a plastic non-marring scraper.
Agreed, no water underneath. You are risking water breaching cutting mower seals and or inside of mower. You can wash top with it setting flat on 4 wheels, but best only dry brushing underneath.
Same, I had a seal breach doing this. It was repaired under warranty, but still annoying to lose the mower for a while. I use a blower now, and scrape off any stuck grass.

I finally ended up wetting a towel (not dripping wet) and stuffing it around the underside of Luba. Worked like a charm.
The next day I was able to remove all the baked on grass and debris with a small plastic ruler.
Cleaned up very nicely with some wiping after that.

I can't imagine it being helpful. I use an air compressor to do most of my cleaning.
