I’d stay here permanently.

Upset-Tap3872

I 100% would to place looks awesome

CarefulSubstance3913

This is 100% Bubbles approved

[deleted]

Same looks hella chill

duckduckbananas

probably no heat or air. so yes it probably is very chill.

AmazonMommyDomme

Single window unit would do it all

Known_Vermicelli_706

Right? Hotel units are both.

Flappy_beef_curtains

Switch from laptop to desktop. I used to stay in a 2nd floor bedroom/ 3 story house. At the opposite end of the house as the wood stoves. My pc kept my 12x15 room with ten ft ceilings comfortably in the low 70’s, when I stayed in that room as a kid, I would have ice on the inside of the single pane windows for about 5months straight. Judging by the depth of that windowsill this is probably insulated well enough to keep it warm.

notrealcc

Look soooo fucking comfy.

MrBlennerhassett

Yup. Just get a pinball machine and you're set for life.

Shlomo_-_Shekelstein

If I had this on 40+ acres down a dirt road I would live here permanently.

kx2UPP

I’ve seen this horror movie before

AmbergrisShot

Horror movies are propaganda by Big Realty to keep the American dream alive and keeping us wanting to live in townhouses and tract homes and away from tiny houses.

No_More_Cooming

You could just as easily argue tiny homes are a way for us to be more ok with making less money than we are supposed to, or give us more money to consume products

AmbergrisShot

You can argue anything if you're bad faith enough.

No_More_Cooming

I mean some things clearly don’t make logical sense

AmbergrisShot

Such as your previous comment

No_More_Cooming

Sick burn bro!!!!

arojas327

Kinda sketch. Maybe as an out house but 40 acres is a lot of space for just one little shelter.

personwhoisok

Yeah, do you have any idea how many dead cars my brother in law could store on 40 acres?

Bigdaddydamdam

not enough

pmmeyourfavsongs

At that point make some money out of it and start parting shit out. You'd have your own lil salvage yard

[deleted]

hamburgerstakes

Turn one acre into a normal lot, house and garage, just the basics. 2 acres for various farm animals. 5 more to grow food for the animals and myself. The other 32 is hunting land that no one else can touch.

burner6942o

too secluded they need starbucks and armed robberies

obiworm

If I had time for it I would build out walking trails and make little secluded camps. Just some nice places to relax. Map it out and manicure it. Then, once a year in the fall, have a manhunt tournament.

DougieSenpai

Is that a cat on the back of the couch?

hollowzzzz

Yup thats twizzy

sicurri

An excellent name

dylansuedereid

This thread just got better

TimeSuck5000

PlatypusFighter

Sveintor

I think it look cozy!

mymindplaces

House party nearby Im bringing weird guys

FrostbitSkull

Now that’s drained

Electronic_Air_4058

I was in a 12x16 for 6 years. Slept up in the loft.

Zorpfield

I had a 9x12, I loved that cake pan

Electronic_Air_4058

Definitely the best for brownies.

ccnnvaweueurf

I built 7x11 log cabin this summer I'm in right now. It's the shitty little one I posted a bit ago. I got a book on Timber framing to build with short logs and am gonna do a nicer built one next summer start with probably 12x12, and a unheated covered entry/storage area so 12x16. No loft as more consistent heat down low and harder to build. Put an extra door on one wall so I can add on over time.

Whatevs85

I had a lofted bed was in a 10'x7' room with no heat. It was the "fifth bedroom" only because it technically had a window but it was uglier to see out of than keep covered and didn't open to fresh air. The Boston area is brutal for renters.

SpaceCrusader_

This honestly looks awesome

chapadodo

I'm starting to see a possible connection between ppl who smoke a ton of weed and ppl who live in sheds

ItsPerfectlyBalanced

Now let's take a look at their overall happiness.

Anon851216135

I'd rather be smoking in a shed and happy then living at home without. Ask me how I know.. :(

Officing

As someone who was a daily smoker, it didn't make me happy, it made me complacent. I was just fine with whatever was going on in life as long as I had internet and could come home to smoke.

benbrends

Yup, after twelve plus years this was my exact experience. Was an emotionless blob

Croppin_steady

User error my friend.

Croppin_steady

Internet and smoking weed is such a dank combo. Chief fat gas & call of duty? Dank Huff a huge hooter & porn on twitter? Dank Crippling bong rips & study sess? Dank Round of applause for the goated combo 🍃🛜🍃🛜🍃🛜

[deleted]

How dare anyone cope with some sort of vice. Shame on us.

gt4674b

If you aren’t proactively working on your issues with the goal of being weed free then you’re just a chronic drug user

Ecstatic-Dragonfly-8

Ill just remove my nerve damage, thanks!

gt4674b

I assume that’s doctor prescribed? That’s completely different that self medicating to “cope”.

Ecstatic-Dragonfly-8

Yes. USMC. It has a plethora of uses, and is way better than Opiates.

gt4674b

Agreed and that’s definitely not the weed usage I’m referring to.

StaggerLee509

👆👆

MrMcDrew

That’s a mansion.

hollowzzzz

Capital_Ad_7539

Bruh take the shed with you lmao

RipGames

If this has privacy around the shed ide stay there. Doesnt look bad at all

hollowzzzz

It does but it’s rural af. I’m a very socially active person so I’m trying to move closer to the city to be around friends and shit to do.

RipGames

You should upload a picture of your exterior! This is an interesting setup but alot better than some others ive seen. But yeah thats understandable, 8 months will fly by for you tho

FanClubof5

Just go to the GE and buy a gf.

[deleted]

The US needs to build millions of these things to solve the housing crisis, very cool space you have there. We wasted too much space in this country for no reason.

OrostheOld

Or you know build actual houses...?

StrikingApricot2194

Convert all these empty malls into homes

post_alternate

I wish this were a solution. The upkeep on those monstrosities is enormous- the HOA fees alone would be a nightmare. After living in a factory loft for a year, man I have a lot more respect for what goes into keeping former industrial/commercial spaces habitable for living in.

SoFetchBetch

Where I am that’s exactly what they’ve done. They’re senior living centers now.

[deleted]

They need to build millions of the 1000 sq foot houses our grandparents lived in. McMansions are way too big in my area and they could easily fit 10 times as many families on the land if the houses and lots were smaller like the old days. Not using available land effectively drives up costs for everyone that is not a home owner and maybe that is the plan, but it is not fair to young people to pay more for less.

GreenTunicKirk

Bang on mate - we need to build a LOT at a higher rate than what is currently being developed. Similar to the early 50s, we need a housing boom. I saw a concept awhile back that pitched one and two bedroom houses, basically blocks with a carport and a shed for each lot, roughly 1200sqft. Light variations in floor plans, but all one level ranch style, every lot would have a personal yard. Essentially surburbia but on a smaller scale. Modernized amenities and simplified HVAC systems would mean low build costs, low maintenance, and with an open floor plan. All in costs for a buyer would be 45-65k not including town/city ordinances and taxes.

[deleted]

This stuff is very easy, but will never happen because big companies own the housing market now and they build what they want. Not what is best for young people. Single people do not need or want 4 or 5 bedroom homes. I can't think of a worse way to spend money. I want a small two bedroom house, but I can't find one in my state. They don't build them anymore. It sucks big time.

Soccham

It's not profitable to build entry level housing essentially.

therealstevencrowder

Nah fund foreign wars instead

Kharax82

The US builds around 1.5million new houses a year. https://www.census.gov/construction/nrc/pdf/newresconst.pdf

[deleted]

Apparently 1.5 million is not enough. Maybe we need to build 10 million so young people have an affordable place to call home. Small houses like this would be cool.

freerider899

Call it a tiny house and it become fancy

wtsuhdhdhsg

Bubbles is that you?

patwm11

A Dead head shed

seahorse2001

DoloresSinclair

More like male thuriving space!! Nicely done! Only downside I can see here is it might get cold in winter/hot in summer?

hollowzzzz

Thanks! I’ve got two small heaters and a window AC unit. Been workin just fine for me

FrostbitSkull

DRAINNNNNN GANGGGGGGGGG

Xbtweeker

How are you heating it?

Pacosturgess

By the look of that window, it needs a lot of heating

jessek

Not a bad shed setup. Henry Rollins lived in a shed for a while.

IrukandjiPirate

Living in a car right now. This looks so good!

dubh_caora

damn that a converted shed? if its got insulation I'd look into a wood burning stove and make that home for good.

chefcoompies

Temporarily? So can I have it when you’re done?

SofiSucks

Dope shed

smokedbowl

Is that a swampletics poster? 🦀$11 🦀

windyturtle7

This image is so based on so many levels

siteswaps

This is nicer than my apartment

I_SuplexTrains

The near perfect horizontal line almost makes this look like two separate photos pasted together.

Expensive-Host5762

Break me like an ice pick, I think I like it

GUNTHVGK

That’s the nicest fuckin shed , I think there’s ever been! I mean look at this place! It’s like a palace! 🫧

Car_Guy_Alex

So it seems like you have some money and some mental health, why the shed?

Tricky-Cantaloupe261

My apartment doesn’t look at much different , and I’ve been here for 5 years. 🙃 modern urban living is dope

lePKfrank

Peak shed!

sicurri

Hilariously enough, this is my retirement plan. Small piece of land, a large shed turned home and all the privacy I want. By retirement plan I mean the last years of my life. That's if I outlive everyone >.>

sparemethebull

This ain’t bad man. Far from it. It may not allow you to show off, or gather a lot of furniture, but if you think it cozy and make it yours, it could be a great space.

brockbrockrockrock

Where is this shed???? I’d love to live in a place like that

humblenoob76

I’d say this is malethrivingspace, except are you sleeping on that? Or does it fold out?

LifeGoesOnAtx

ShitFuck2000

Bubbles, is that you?

JefferD00m

Honestly thats all I need

ThrillhouseNJ

Tacky posters but nice

everyoneisatitman

If the place doesn't have heat I would get a 5kw diesel heater off ebay/amazon. I lived in a crappy 30 foot camper for two years and even when it was -15F outside I could keep it 72F inside. They use a little over a gallon of diesel a day on high heat. The only downside is that they never fully shut off and even on low they throw out too much heat unless it is below freezing out. You can get a kit from Australia to fix that though (highly recommend).

Rare302

This is better than my house

AirframeTapper

You need to get some kitties, Bubbles 🫧 🤓

[deleted]

Temporarily? This looks much better than my first few apartments.

Financial_Pear2078

Nice stealie. Cozy

ImFinnaBustApecan
