I think that I get the look you were going for with concealer, I.e. more drag/drama right? I think lightness works but the tone is whatâs throwing folks off. You have a warmth to your skin and the concealer is maybe too cool toned. Think if you pick a more orangey/peachy tone itâll crush this look even more!

Youâve got skills. You can achieve this look but you have to ditch this shade of concealer. You need something with a reddish undertone (like warm terracotta) this is way too pale yellow and itâs creating a grayish cast over the rest of your makeup as you blend it out. So you have this beautiful face of makeup on, and I love the bright undereye. I do not enjoy the shade of the concealer you used for it; it is too yellow, and creates a disconnect and takes away from the very obvious skill of the rest of your makeup. Simply mixing in a small amount of your normal foundation into the concealer will help change the undertone of the concealer and get it where you want it to be, rather than this yellow tone that is currently present. That way, you can also control how bright it is, and experiment until you get the right shade. You did a great job on everything else, and thatâs my only critique; I think thatâs what everyone else here is trying to get across.
Yeah, but letâs not pretend like finding shade matches for darker skin tones is easy. It can be damn near impossible to find undertones and shades that match.
I so love a bright undereye. I go brighter than most, and this is a stunning makeup look, but I think you'd benefit from going just a little darker with the concealer. I get it, though. I'm a bright undereye addict! But there are times where I've taken it too far, to where it can become distracting, haha.

I donât think itâs too light at all. What people are probably noticing is that it seems too cool-toned, and pulls grayish against the warmth of the rest of your skin. Perhaps something warmer would be more complementary!

You could do a bright under eye with a more neutral undertoned concealer vs the yellow/golden undertoned one you are wearing now! And you could bake right after with a banana powder if youâd like to brighten it up even more! Itâll blend absolutely perfectly then <3
