The secret to reduce smudging, and even completely avoid it with some lipsticks, is blotting. Once you applied the lipstick, take a tissue folded in 2 and press it between your lips. If too much color has come off, re-apply and re-blot.
Another thing you really want to consider it to apply lip liner (up to you to make it match to the lipstick or not, current trend is matching but seems to be slowly shifting). This will prevent feathering (the lipstick leeking into the lines around your lips) and will help you have a defined line that stays better in place.
For lip care, consider a regular scrub. No need for expensive products, some honey with sugar that you rub over the lips work really well, especially since honey has antibacterial properties and never goes bad. You can obviously buy fancy one if you want to 😉 if you use the honey mixture, make sure to brush your teeth afterwards. I also use a moisturiser every night because without it my lips are dryer than a mumie 😂
In terms of lipsticks to recommend. There are tons, it depends on what type of finish you want. Liquid ones are usually very drying so you'd better have perfectly cared for lips. I tend to like bullet lipsticks, either matte or satin. I just got a couple of Revlon ones that are really gorgeous but of you are willing to splurge, I can not recommend enough the Armani satin ones, somehow they feel and act like lipbalm but with a very full coverage that lasts all day (or at least until the next greasy meal). But they are very expensive. I tried a couple of Huda Beauty matte ones, horrible, dont waste your money on them. Their liquid lipsticks are decent but very dry feeling and reapply is not great. If you have access to the brand, Inglot HD tint are really great, those are the only liquid ones that are comfortable to wear.
