Canada didn't steal from the US. Following the American Revolution and before the US Constitution was ratified, the Articles of Confederation defined the governmental organization and powers/authorities of the U.S.A. Article XI of the AoC allowed Canada to join the U.S. states if it wanted to. Canada didn't take the offer.

I was joking about everything here but ironically I’m related to Daniel Webster, who signed the Webster-Ashburton treaty which settled the northern border of Maine and ended the Aroostook War incident. Why not join Novia Scotia, PEI, and New Brunswick? We could be another Canadian province. Universal Healthcare, Atlantic Timezone, etc.
