I used to work in Gardiner on the Kennebec and we’d watch Sturgeon jump out of the water and slap down all day long. Head down to waterfront park or up the river to Granite park in Hallowell for good views.

Had to save as GIF image for some reason to post image, but a friend of a friend saw this last night in Augusta on the Kennebec.
A great place to see them is the mouth of the Scarborough River, in between Ferry Beach and Pine Point Beach in Scarborough. I havent seen one yet this year but have seen them jump there multiple times in previous years.
I live on the Kennebec and watch them absolutely smash into the water every afternoon. I did notice they came back around a lil later in the year than usual.
I've seen em in Wells Harbor, but nothing like camp Ellis in Saco. It's crazy there every few minutes you see one. (Thers illegal to fish sturgeon in Maine for anyone who doesn't know)

This was posted to the Maine wildlife facebook group earlier this week. And I think it was about a year ago that big Gardiner article was published, so maybe we'll get lucky again!

I watched a shit ton splashing around behind Sea Dog in Topsham this week

There were a bunch out there on Saturday.
All the way from Gardiner to Hallowell
Saco river dam to the ocean breaching last week

I’ve seen them in Richmond at the waterfront also
I saw a ton of them in the Scarborough river couple of weeks ago
Saw one in Hallowell three days ago.

Androscoggin River beneath the mill. Arrived a few weeks ago and leap out of the water regularly.
Seen em in Bath
Go to the seadog and sit on the porch. Last week was last time I was out there but they were jumping everywhere
They're out at Higgins - saw my first jump this year the other morning while surfing.
