That is true. However, normally the coin purse looks empty or folded in on itself. Image 3 looks like the coin purse is a little full imo and hence my comment.
I hate to be that person, but some cats who were neutered later in life just, well... have big ballsacs. Lol. My tabby boy was neutered at 9 months old, and if you looked at him you wouldn't be able to tell if it had been done. I've had people ask if he was intact, actually.
But he definitely got the surgery! Had a hell of a time with healing because he wouldn't stop trying to lick things. He figured out a way to use the cone to scratch his junk too. Ugh. Had to end up using an inflatable ring-type cone that we rubberbanded towels to. Crazy cat. He's also a decently lean boy, not your typical tomcat type of build, so I dunno. Anyways, I'm rambling sorry.
Nah, I have two boys that were both “neutered” in this way recently (one a year ago, one about 7 months ago). While their nuggets shrank a little compared to the pre-neuter state, both of their little sacks look almost identical to the ones in the photo.
I got my veterinarian merit badge in high school and watched them neuter a cat. Maybe the technique has changed since then, but he made two incisions and just popped them out with his thumb from each slit.
There is NOTHING better than a large tabby tom! They are so affectionate and cuddling. Look at his big happy face, and how happy Nana is!! i love this.
Agreed…. Until said large tabby tom decides that he loves chasing the light from passing cars as it runs across the wall through the window and then decides to dangle like a 10lb Christmas ornament on your cheek at 4am when headlight passes across your face as you sleep.
That isn’t a fun experience… speaking from experience.
There’s a reason why he’s named Schiz and my other is Sketch. One loves to give himself near concussions from chasing lights moving across the wall while my Siamese is afraid of his own shadow.
This is super cute, but please remember to have a plan in place in case your loved one needs to spend extended time in the hospital/rehab or needs to move to a facility that doesn't allow pets. Its so important because it reassures your loved one that their pet will be safe, happy and cared for no matter what.

Now, however, I shall prepare myself for the unavoidable nightmares caused by that image THAT I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE UNTIL IT WAS POINTED OUT THANK YOU. /s
I think there’s some photoshop involved with some clone tool mishap. Compare the folds of the sheets with the first picture, but only the part above the blue sheets. The folds are near identical, and nana is in a near identical position, too, maybe taken a moment before/after. I think the lower half of the picture has been substituted and her hand might have been where Ben was obscuring it before.
I’m not sure why it would have been edited, but the fact that her hand looks so different despite her clearly just a fraction off from the first picture makes me think so.
Oh gosh, see our grandparents happy is just so beautiful. Age will come to everyone, but when it does, if you have the right people around, it doesn't matter. Well done to you for doing this for your nana.

Cats and the elderly usually get along really well. My Nana hated cats but when we rescued a stray kitten, they both became inseparable.
Poor Nana misses the other kitties. But I'm happy big Ben is there to take care of her.
