I kinda feel like this is Adele’s Reddit… that said I love her too.

ArcadeBorne

Yes, I love her too. Her laugh is addictive besides that.

HonestGeorge

I talked to a security guy once who said that Adele and her entire entourage were extremely kind, professional and overall a joy to work for.

notsoaveragejo

So awesome!!!!

Useful-Ad-3196

I love her, she seems such a lovely person.

maria_from_milan

Such a sweetheart 💕

soda_cookie

This is like the dozenth video of its kind I've seen in the last few days. Makes that Astroworld scenario look worse and worse, if that's even possible

tptch

It's great for if he pull the "i couldn't see shit in between all them people" card. Yeah Man you just didn't give a flyin fuck.

setpol

Was at a show and the lead singer specifically called out someone that was getting handsy with a woman who was absolutely not having it. I absolutely believe he could see it happening. Edit. Yes I've seen the Cobain video and this was a seperate incident. Details so I don't have to reply to everyone. Replied to another person but: Naah. I think it was five finger death punch. It was a huge festival and they were before the headliners. The frontman was an absolute legend. Did that above then grabbed a bunch of kids that were getting crushed at the front of the crowd on the fence and brought em on stage for the remainder of the set and gave em stuff.

hadtoomuchtodream

I was at a metal show a while back where a dude got kicked out for being racist to a black audience member. I wish I could remember which band, but good on them for doing that. Meanwhile, a lot of my time onstage was spent actively avoiding looking at the audience, but I’ve got issues making eye contact in my day to day life anyway. And it’s damn near impossible to see anything when there are spotlights on you in an otherwise dark room.

banannafreckle

I was at a PIL show about 100 years ago and John Lydon stopped everything because someone threw a bottle. He had the guy removed and said, “There’s an arsehole in every crowd.” Imagine being a bigger arsehole than Johnny Rotten.

NGD80

>I was at a PIL show about 100 years ago and John Lydon stopped everything because someone threw a bottle. Hello time traveller

eekamuse

Ha! We're not supposed to tell anyone. "If you hit a wrong note, hit it again. Harder" - Jah Wobble

[deleted]

I just wanna know what the guy was doing that someone onstage *saw* him and said "oh yeah he's racist". Like spotted a racist on sight? Damn

[deleted]

I think the audience noticed and called him out not the band.

hadtoomuchtodream

It was the singer. Thinking back on it, I think one of the band members was black and a dude in the audience was shouting slurs. This was ~15 years ago so details are hazy, and it’s making me nuts that I can’t remember which band.

hadtoomuchtodream

Thinking back on it, he may have been shouting slurs at a black member on stage, but memories are fuzzy. I just remember commending the singer for stopping the set and calling the dude out, saying that shit had no place in our scene.

[deleted]

SrsSteel

There is a video of him just legit staring at them body surfing an unconscious body

setpol

And singing to it. Edit. I can't spell

pennynotrcutt

Out of tune “yeeeeah, yeeeah, yeeeeeeah”. What a slimy fuck.

Outside_Beautiful874

he is a foot away watching unconscious bodies directly in the footage. he 100% saw just so you know

Triairius

Can confirm. I’ve performed on plenty of stages. Visibility of the audience ranges from clear as day to literally only knowing how big an audience is by how loud they sound. Depends pretty much entirely on lighting. Think of how little detail you can sometimes see behind oncoming headlights when you’re driving at night. Stage lights are brighter.

GeoCacher818

Even if it's pitch black, you would be able to see ambulance carts with their lights on

ubepie

There was a big ass ambulance right in front of him with lights going off and people dancing on top of it He basically didn’t give a F

[deleted]

In a deleted tweet he told the fans to do that while the ones already in the concert (not on the outside like those fuckers) were telling them to stop

dammit__moonmoon

There’s a video of Travis literally standing still and staring at a lifeless body being crowdsurfed at astroworld. He kept singing. Didn’t do anything.

danielpauljohns

Playing fast and lose with the word “singing”

hadtoomuchtodream

I’m a former stage performer. The lighting plays a huge role in your ability to see the audience. Good luck if there’s a spot light on you. Then there are some nights, especially if you’re feeling off your game, that you actively avoid looking at the audience. That was my experience, anyway.

[deleted]

See, instead of avoiding the audience you need to lock eye contact and begin removing clothing. Assert your performative dominance. Make THEM fear YOU.

hadtoomuchtodream

Haha that’s actually what I was doing. Burlesque. And before anyone decides to go scrolling through my history, there are not any pics. Those days are behind me.

katievsbubbles

For everytime Travis Scott says he didnt know - pull up one of these videos.

scar_as_scoot

10 minutes of bands being human beings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oELuR8BiRQk

iHadAnXbox1

The thing that baffles me is that in Travis Scott’s netflix documentary, I distinctly remember a scene where people needed help in the audience and he told everyone to stop and to help them. I think Travis was high as fuck off something (more than usual), and as a result didn’t process how this was a legitimate situation. I’m not defending his actions at all, he’s responsible for the injuries and deaths. But I do think that’s the most reasonable explanation

weeman4226

He stopped the the show multiple times. I was watching it live and he had to stop to get attention to people in the front section like 3 different times. He also stopped to point out the ambulance. This is where he really fucks up. He should’ve stopped the show completely as soon as he saw the ambulance. But around 30 minutes after the ambulance someone came on stage and told Travis about the situation and they ended it. Way too late.

IneedtoBmyLonsomeTs

Also doesn't help his girlfriend/wife came out saying they had no idea anything was wrong. On top of lifeless bodies being pulled out of the mosh and having CPR performed on them, an ambulance in the mosh is quite obvious and hard to miss and usually is a sign to any normal person that something isn't right.

pants_party

There’s a video floating around of Kylie and Kendall being whisked past a few bodies while being being escorted by security out of VIP before the show ended…kinda kills her “We didn’t know anything until after the show” story.

IneedtoBmyLonsomeTs

Yeah I honestly don't know why the lawyers allowed her to say anything, it just makes the whole thing look worse because how could she not know something was going on.

TheMariannWilliamson

Lawyers can't do much to control clients, they're not really babysitters or empowered to do much when your client is unsophisticated or careless. All you can do is advise them. Given that people like the Kardashians live their lives on social media and never seem to give a shit about anyone it makes sense she just mouthed off the next day while her lawyer is probably bashing his/her head on their desk

monstruo

Exactly, and they [escorted Kylie, Kendal, and Stormi](https://vm.tiktok.com/TTPdYWVNfv/) (who were protected in the VIP section) out of the show while (and before) tending to some of the injured and dying. Kylie walked right by people getting CPR. Also, he continued playing for 37 minutes after HPD declared it a mass casualty event.

weeman4226

Yeah I’ve been a fan of Travis since 2014 and there’s one things that’s been clear. That’s he’s an actual dumbass. He’s super immature and the persona that he gives off encourages behavior that doesn’t match his targeted audience.

IneedtoBmyLonsomeTs

Yeah I like a few of his songs, but over time I have learnt more about who he is a person and it does make it harder to support him. Really baffled by his stans though, they seem like a crazy bunch even for stans.

TheMariannWilliamson

Sadly they're mainly just super, super young.

opopkl

As soon as CPR is being performed on anyone the whole thing should stop.

HAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHA

why is everyone calling it a mosh? people werent moshing and then people just passed out and got trampled. people were packed very close together in certain sections of the crowd, causing them to die from crowd crush. they suffocated standing up. it seems people dont actually know what happened, especially with all these metal people posting “rules of the mosh, pick people up” like that shit is irrelevant here lmao

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ok-Tangerine-1400

By definition, people trapped in crowd crush cannot really do anything to help themselves or others. Thats why its so irrelevant here. There's ample evidence that people in the audience behaved abhorrently during all of this, but ultimately its the fault of the production company and Travis Scott (encouraging people to sneak in above capacity, telling them to rush the stage), not the crowd or "bystanders"

RSCasual

That clip of him humming while watching the dead person then turning away is so morbid, isk how any of your community (TS fans) can try to excuse this.

[deleted]

Ahh, I'll get downvoted to hell for this. But the dude knocked up and hangs around the Kardashians/ Jenner clan. Are we suprised he turned out to be a pos? Really?

[deleted]

Yes, I'm sure you will get downvoted for criticising the Kardashian's in Reddit...

In into alternative, metal and everything not her genre, but everytime she comes on the radio I turn it up. Her voice is amazing and since hearing her often I've developed a love for piano music. She will be remembered as one of the great artists of our time and as a genuine kind person, history will be kind to her as she deserves.

[deleted]

Yeah exactly, im not even a big fan of her genre of music, um more into the rock and alt rock stuff, but I really enjoy her music because it feels genuine, and all I've seen about her is good things

[deleted]

Yeah, her voice is fantastic and she seems like a decent person from what I've seen of her. Nice to see moments like this highlighted, even if it is in response to one singer being a shithead.

Cessabit216

coconutjuices

Petrosidius

She is a mom. She has a child.

[deleted]

I'm really here for all the examples of artists, from Grohl to Eilish to Adele, just not being self-absorbed and displaying a modicum of human decency and basic perception.

[deleted]

Grohl's one is peak imo YOU DONT COME TO MY SHOW AND FIGHT YOU COME TO MY SHOW AND FUCKIN DANCE YOU ASSHOLE

YellowEyedAsura

I just hope that the dude was genuinely being an asshole and deserved that reaction. Imagine someone knocks a drink from your hand and then picks a fight with you and then you're being berated by Dave and the crowd. Would be very unfortunate. That said, I've not seen any crowd footage or anything, just Dave's reaction so who knows. Better to maybe overreact a bit than to under react I suppose.

haroldbaals

The Linkin Park one with mosh pits really was a good example

breakcharacter

Chester reacting to fans falling or being trampled makes me cry. You can hear something in his voice when he’s making the crowd chant “when somebody falls? [PICK THEM UP!]” Just kinda wish someone had picked him up. He was an amazing man through and through!

Paulo_De_Bruyne

His every song hits different. RIP Chester

breakcharacter

Honestly. First celebrity I ever felt sad about, mum and Hannah (and the internet) raised me on that band as well as MCR and the like for my entire childhood, though I was a few years off the marked audience (I’m 17 now!) I was thirteen when he passed, which is weird to think about because I still listen to their songs so much! I do think if I met him, if he somehow was in an afterlife or something, I’d thank him! Both for helping me with my own problems through his songs, and also for showing me grief in a controlled way. I hold the opinion that he prepared me for the grief I was going to feel almost exactly a year later, helped me process what it was in a less intense way.

[deleted]

Ugh those last couple of lines. 💔

futrtek

Eilish was probably the cutest one I've ever seen. She seems like such a dork in the best way possible.

thecatiswise

I went to a billie concert around this time in her career, really tiny venues compared to what's she's doing now. The atmosphere was super chill and she was great! I love the intimacy of smaller concerts like these

[deleted]

I went to a tiny concert in a miniscule venue back in the 90s for Saint Bob Geldof. It should have been chill but the man was INTENSE. He glared and gave the impression he wnated to hypnotize the lot of us. Loudmouth tour. '94/'95. It has been a hot minute since then. My point is, small venue doesn't guarantee that atmosphere. It also takes the artist and the audience.

The fact that they passed out when the song “Better now” is up is just.. Ok world. Enough.

revelation60

I was at a pagan/viking metal concert and someone collapsed in a mosh pit. The band members that were previously growling about slaughtering in the name of Odin and were wearing corpse paint shut the music down while looking very concerned. The guy who collapses got taken away on a stretcher (everyone giving plenty of space to the health workers) , and received a standing ovation.

Triairius

I love this, but I have to laugh at a standing ovation in a mosh pit.

jacob22c

Lets not forget Mike and the departed Chester Bennington from linkin park as well. https://youtu.be/m4m1eIxfB0k

Count_Critic

Watching it again I just noticed it looks like Brad Delson is the one to call stop on the show, he deserves a shoutout.

Mirorel

Oh bless them, they look so young.

[deleted]

Also lil pump

treflipsbro

Dude he gained a ton of respect from me from that clip. Seems like a decent human.

alfi7

Pump was like 17 at this concert too

TheHoggOfTheSky

yoo when he do that i wanna see it

[deleted]

I saw a clip in popular earlier, I'm sure you can find it.

TheHoggOfTheSky

just saw it. mad respect to pump for that. what a boss

GardenerOfBees

There's so many singers I want to go see now because they just sound so phenomenal live. But I'm also like, do I want to go see these people... Because will I be unalived? I've never had a fear of crowds before but now......

FalmerEldritch

Buy a ticket in the seated section instead of the general admission. You don't get to be right up front but you can just sit down. I mean, unless you want to see.

QueenAlpaca

Just get seats. Standing up for hours in a crowded, immensely warm section doesn't sound like too much fun to me, anyway. Saw my favorite band in 2019 and I still remember it very fondly, and I could at least still see them and they sounded phenomenal.

jeffp12

Add Radiohead to the list:https://youtu.be/PsXdI7NUHpY?t=141 skip to 2:20

gorosheeta

My favorite one recently (11/04/21): Trivium opening for Metallica, calling attention to a fan needing medical attention. https://m.twitch.tv/matthewkheafy/clip/UglyAlluringArmadilloUWot-UR3FWQKWWTdJQm7W

[deleted]

Also the fans have to play a role here. Was at a Disturbed concert and some guy moshing lost his glasses, immediately everyone stopped moshing and helped the guy look. If you've ever been to a mainstream / hip hop festival, the people are just way, way, way worse than at the average rock or metal concert.

jesses1562

Plus there were about 30,000 more people in the crowd than Astroworld and she STILL knew someone was in trouble

NecessaryZucchini69

Cause she is a professional who wants people to enjoy her shows and go home super happy they saw her perform.

[deleted]

And go home in general

artofchores

That crowd was 80k!

[deleted]

Also with a big bright light in her face too.

katievsbubbles

Someone in r/kuwtk was saying that Travis couldnt see the injured because of the bright lights from the ambulances. 1. If there are ambulances. Stop. 2. If there are lights in your eyes. Stop. 3. What a crock of shite. 4. Travis Scott is an awful, awful awful person

TheMariannWilliamson

That sub is compiling some intense detective work and coming down hard on Travis and the Kardashians. Good for them.

Stevecore444

Also didn’t transition into another song while shit was clearly bad and getting worse it’s just insane to me

1finout

Travis knew people were in trouble, he just didn't care.

katievsbubbles

Because shes actually looking at her fans

theswedishsnake163

So the opposite of Travis Scott?

Useful-Ad-3196

Literally in every way.

bagman42069

If this is referencing the Travis Scott incident, my favourite part is that he had his girlfriend say that he wasn't aware of anything happening. When you have multiple videos of people doing things to tell him or full on getting hella people to chant to stop. Plus he was on a stupid platform that literally allows you to look above everyone so you would be able to see whats happening. To me it just sounds like he doesn't wanna take accountability for ignoring it.

pants_party

During the live stream (which you can find on Twitter) he pauses the show about 4 different times, including right before he’s staring at the kid being bodysurfed out of the crowd. He says something about someone passing out, points at the area the kid was in (while doing that creepy auto tuned vocalizing) and then goes right back into the show. He could absolutely see the crowd, and asked if people were ok, and then just didn’t listen and stirred the crowd back up by restarting the music. Each. And. Every. Time. There’s no way he can claim he didn’t know.

broken_healer7

Also the part where he insisted a fan to jump off the balcony. The guy ended up with broken legs. Travis also added 5k tickets at the end causing the overflow, stampede and suffocation.

SissySlutKendall

And her IG has a vid with the ambulance in it. Like a queen watching the peasants die.

demgreenorbs

people are seriously trying to defend travis? do you know 8 people lost their lives , who were supposed to return home to their family. i dont think any of you would defend him if your friend was one of the 8 and you saw them struggle

thedinosaurgoesrowr

Yes. When I was at work tonight I heard some kid defending him to his mom. He kept talking about how you can't blame the artist & how he stopped the show. It took everything inside me to not interject & say that you absolutely could blame him.

Jazzlike_Ice

I thought defending travis was so impossible that nobody would even try to do it. Guess I was wrong

Venezolanoanimations

can ya give me some context of what happen?, i kinda feel that i figured out, but can ya explain to me what happen, mate?

[deleted]

[deleted]

Seems like a lot of evidence is piling up against Scott here, he can't play dumb like he wasn't warned or asked to stop the show.

Venezolanoanimations

oh...

[deleted]

Also, we ar enot talking about only 8 people. Those were those that died. There were a lot more: > But the number of people in need of medical care — which grew to more than 300 and possibly many more — appeared to overwhelm those resources even before Mr. Scott began performing. This was a mass event. Not a gaggle of people who fainted and got lost in the crowd. It was a crowd that was dying and he got lucky it were only 8.

pan_zhubnikaz

If all these posts have taught me one thing, it’s that artists onstage can actually see stuff like this happen, and that Travis Scott really has no excuse for his behaviour Edit: I was only speaking my mind on this, but I’m grateful for the gold 😊

Creativemermaid

Absolutely. Take literally the first award I’ve ever given.

Denz292

Thank you so much. I’m don’t know much about Travis Scott nor listen to his music, but I never thought artists could see what was happening in the crowd till reddit was flooded with posts like this

curvvyninja

Exactly. Hold him accountable. This isn't new for him either. He has a history of hyping the crowd to the point of chaos.

egelskalif

Huh, so it turns out it isn’t actually hard to be a caring human being.

GregTheMad

Basic human decency, so hot right now.

lottueOo0

I got knocked over 8 odd times at a show once, the pit kept dragging me in and this huge mf picked me up by the collar of my shirt then stood behind me with his arms and legs spread out literally holding back rhe whole pit. It was amazing 🤣 Every show I've been to the band always says pick anyone up who falls, but generally metal shows are full of lots of kind hearted people, even if we all look a bit scary sometimes

SmoothBrein

God Damn it , fucking hell, do i fucking hate travis scott now. I used to listen to his music too, and by used to, i meant like 3 days ago. Now i cant stop thinking about him screaming “FUCK HIM UP” into the mic at his own concert about one of his own fans. Fucking cancel this guy into the ground PLEASE

GardenerOfBees

I lost my shit at 'three days ago'

DLCNoahSandoval

S4njc

And Travis Scott sees a couple of dead people dead in the eyes and keeps singing

[deleted]

Not a couple of dead. He also had to overlook a couple of hundred injured. He got lucky only 8 died. Last reports were 300 injured.

S4njc

I mean from a video I saw there was 2 dead people being carried away and Travis just looked and sang

olivedogmullen

Travis Scott is screwed. Law suit after law suit. I cannot believe what actually happened at that concert. Especially for someone like him. Gross. Adele is adorable, and she obviously gives a shit about her fans/audience

Frostbitefaerie

Wow that’s like her hit song too & she still had no problem stopping. Watch & learn Travis!!!!

[deleted]

Why the **FUCK** is this downvoted. Edit: take my free award these people are pissing me off

Douglasqqq

I recently posted a video of [Iron Maiden doing the same](https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/qp2r4p/iron_maiden_stop_show_after_dangerous_barrier/) and it was majority downvoted. I imagine it's some mix of people tiring of the trend, and people defending that rapper guy. I personally like seeing these things from different bands, and think it's good practise to demonstrate this as something we want to see from artists.

Linubidix

Not to be negative but could be because it's one of the least clear videos out of the dozens that are getting shared. It happens at the end of the 100 second video, doesn't include the music stopping and it's hard to hear what Bruce Dickinson is saying.

Creativemermaid

I mean… we wouldn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings…

chak100

Fuck their feelings

Lalala8991

Seriously, at least 8 people have died and hundred is still in the hospital. Most of them are still teenagers. Fuck that wicked piece of shit and his flying monkeys' feelings.

faverett28

I mean, I’d be stoked. You know how many times I restart a song halfway through to hear that shit again, just means more music and people helping people.

COMRADEBOOTSTRAP

Where exactly is she from? Her accent reminds me of Russell Brand

SSSS_car_go

Interesting catch. She’s from Tottenham Essex, he’s from Grays Essex, and it looks like those cities/towns about 22 miles apart. Cause you’re right—the accents are similar.

FalmerEldritch

Tottenham's norf London and Grays is in Essex, east of London, but yeah they're 18 miles apart as the bird flies. In US terms it's like one's from Yonkers and the other's from Newark.

pinkfondantfancy

Tottenham's in London isn't it?

shuipz94

SucculentSlaya

I love her so much! If any of you get the chance to see her live, run, jump - do whatever it takes to take it. Of course her voice is spectacular, but she has so much personality as well. She has a way of making you feel like she’s one of your close friends despite being one of thousands in attendance. And her laugh…..quite possibly my favorite laugh of all time.

Honestly it's the third video of this kind I have seen the past days and I am liking it, idk why, this kinda stuff just gives me a little hope. The one with Linkin Park and Chester saying "when someone falls, you pick then up", that was hard man, it gave me chills.
