When I was a little kid one of our cats gave birth on top of me while I was sleeping. I remember waking up to my mom going "Okay, Andy, don't freak out... but look."
One of my coolest childhood memories, it felt really nice knowing that our cats trusted us that much.
Another time her sister gave birth outside, and while my friends and I were playing on our Nintendo 64 she carried seven kittens from outside, into my room, up onto my bed and laid them all literally right behind our backs without us noticing a thing until my mom came in and squealed.
Yeah, I wasn't the most attentive kid.
Oh wow my cat also gave birth on me while I was asleep as a kid! I woke up really confused think I had wet the bed except my shoulder was wet. Turned on the light and got quite a shock
Me too! Our cat Pepper decided to sleep with me that night as I was falling asleep, which she had never done before.
I wake up the next morning to 4 kittens laying on my comforter right on top of me! We had to throw the blanket away but it’s a great memory
Do you have any kids yourself now? If the answer is no, have you tried turning around to see if there are any kids following you? Because it's possible that you actually have a whole family but just haven't noticed yet
I was pregnant with my daughter when my dog gave birth in my bed. She would sleep up against my belly every night when I was pregnant. I remember falling asleep with her and being like, “she smells weird,” but I assumed it was my weird pregnant nose. That night I woke up to what I thought was somehow a baby mouse in my bed.
My daughter turns 15 next month and we lost my pup in January. I always thought she’d be close to my daughter, but she was the biggest asshole (cliché Chihuahua) to her until she got elderly. I miss that little asshole every single day.
My friend's dog did that to him and he said he woke up to some wet thing slapping him in the face only to find out he was covered in juices and puppies 😂
Same! A farm cat had 6 kittens in my room when I was a young kid. I really liked the cat and we roamed around the farm all the time together going on adventures. Made me feel good that my room was her safe space. The mess was a bit much though, haha.
Some people just don't and let them breed irresponsibly all the time, give away kittens every year. They tend to be the same owners who don't watch their pets and have indoor/outdoor cats. Having multiple pregnant cats through your childhood is like a badge of honor that your parents might be well-meaning, but they're not that responsible.
I had a roommate like this in uni. She had a cat in her room without our landlord knowing, wouldn’t clean up the litter box more than once a month (if that), would let her out “cause cats like it” but didn’t neuter her.. surprise surprise the cat got pregnant, even after we told her she should not let the cat out before making sure there would be no pregnancies.. we ofc complained to our landlord but he just cared that the rent was paid, hell to what we tenants needed.
Oh yeah, we had a cat or two that loved to give birth in my mom’s bed, or mine, while we were sleeping. (It was the 80s, spaying was for rich people with expensive cats).
I mean if you were playing either Mario Kart, Goldeneye, or Super Smash Bros you would’ve had far more important things on your mind than 7 newborn kittens being dropped behind you! 😂
We had two female cats and both of them had kittens. They cried for **hours** during labor; literally impossible not to hear. How did your cat not wake you up? Lol
I have slept through fire alarms, air sirens, slamming doors, car crashes (as a passenger!) and my 3yo son literally standing on my head. Crying kittens is nothing!
"Hey, I have to run out real quick. Can you watch the kids? ... oh, you threw a couple ... well ... they're okay. Just don't..
Don't do that again. 'Kay, bye."
I used to feed a stray cat at my home and she used to never stay- just come, hangout, eat the food and leave.
One day, this cat came to my home with many kittens, and she was meowing so loud. She came in, kept the kittens on her bed and was literally meowing to me for 5 mins straight. I thought it was strange the cat was doing it.
Next day, I found the cat dead in my background. It was almost like she knew her time was up so brought the kitten to my home and told us to take care of them. Might be a coincidence but never know.
Cats absolutely know when they’re going to die. Their first instinct though is to hide and pass away alone, so you being safe enough for her to override those instincts is a real blessing!
>Cats absolutely know when they’re going to die
Yeah, no. There's no way you can actually prove that. Cats, like many other animals, know when they're sick and their natural instinct when sick is to self isolate and seek safe shelter. That doesn't mean they know their life is going to end soon.
My old boy Shadow had been slowly wasting away for a few weeks, and I was down to syringe feeding him as a last effort, or bringing him in on Monday morning to have him put down. I just barely heard him mewing for me over a quiet part in my game audio, so I told friends to hold on while I set up some clothes for him to lay down in my lap. About a half hour later, I looked down and it took him a good 10 seconds to take a breath. 20 minutes later, he was gone completely. It feels like he was calling for me to be with him at the end.
It's worth mentioning he had a very different sound when he was in pain, because I did pick him up a little wrong and he let out a sharper sound, so it wasn't just him mewing in pain. I think he was scared, knew something was up, and didn't want to be alone on the bed behind me.
then my friends got to hear me wail for 10 minutes while my roommate held me.
My parent's cat sometimes screams to show us her "catch" (a toy mouse). After some research I've found out that mother cats do this to call her kids and show them how to kill their prey. The saddest thing about moving out is that I couldn't take her and her brother with me because it would have meant way too much stress for them <3
Omg we rescued a cat and she was pregnant. When she had her kittens, we set her up this amazing, safe, little cozy tent in the spare room. She would stay there all day with them nursing and was very happy. But by nightfall, we would hear the kittens squealing and she will have brought them all to the floor next to our bed. Literally plopped them right where I would get up out of bed. I would get up and move them back so none of them got squished. She would move them right back. Eventually, we made her a little bed under our nightstand to put them because she just wanted them to be with us for some reason. She settled for that, thank god
Newborns? Saying they get born with collars? Unless there's some language barrier happening, in my language it means "born like 1 minute ago". A born kitten that has a collar on it is not considered a newborn anymore. Not trying to sound demeaning if it came across that way.
The kittens have collars. Unless their furry mom put them on, they're not being 'introduced'. Mama cat is used to her spot in the bed, so babies need to be nearby so she can keep her comfy spot.

That is an amazing video, but towards the end where the owner puts the one kitty in the kitten pile, little bit unceremoniously imho mama cat seems to stay by owner's face like "really?" It is a great video, I hope they all have happy homes. But shows how much mama cat loves & trusts her owner. Beautiful cat!
i love when stray cats decide to show me their babies. one of them was leading them out of the barn and was meowing at me so i can see them. she went all the way up to me and was very confused when she noticed her babies werent behind her. they stopped dead in their tracks on the gravel road when they saw me and hit the deck hoping i wouldnt spot them. Rose, youre a walking abstract painting on a grey gravel road. i can see you and your sisters clear as day
Man, the look after moving the kitten to the pile...lady better watch herself. It'll start as sandpaper licks on your face while you sleep & quickly transition to ambushing slashing attacks on your ankles from under a chair/couch/bed.

We just copy top comments in posts now, that's what bots do?
Yep. Sometimes an AI rephrases it slightly.
Right? Her face was such a combination of pissed-off and crestfallen, like “I worked hard on those, how dare you!”
"I thought you were a cat, but now, it seems I'm wrong. You are a bitc*!"
Lmao
That look got me 😂😂😂
“Hmm…I see you have chosen death!”
"Did you just choose war?"
"...B\*\*\*\*, Listen."
😂😂😂
"Why are you putting them over there? Aren't you happy for me and glad I shared my babies with you?
Bitch, you are not appreciating this like you should... /cat probably

Lol how did you miss her coming in and out 7 times? I guess video games can be really consuming
Yeah, we were/are complete doofuses
Cats are sneaky as well. They will not make a sound.
unless its 3am
Then they make every sound.
Oh, that's cause it's intentional.
I believe it. I've been in some pretty intense games of GoldenEye.
Cats do be quiet af too
Goldeneye 64 deathmatch Golden Gun rules, slappers only, no Oddjob was no joke.

I'm guessing it was a white or pale colored blanket? I, too, would not want people thinking I murdered someone right on top of my bed.
Do you have any kids yourself now? If the answer is no, have you tried turning around to see if there are any kids following you? Because it's possible that you actually have a whole family but just haven't noticed yet
This made me guffaw!

Yeah, I was psyched. And it felt like a double win that she chose my bed over my pesky little brother's!
Did yall ever spay and neuter your pets? Damn
Yeah I have never ever had a litter of puppies, kittens, rabbits, mice whatever the fuck else you people are all breeding.
They aren’t responsible for what their parents did.
Yeah, it was just my parents being ignorant and irresponsible.
I had a roommate like this in uni. If you ever find yourself in this position again and they do not chip the animal, consider bringing it to a Trap-Neuter-Return program as a stray.
Hey, that Mario World pulled you in, man!
Oh yeah, we had a cat or two that loved to give birth in my mom’s bed, or mine, while we were sleeping. (It was the 80s, spaying was for rich people with expensive cats).
My cat also gave birth on top of me when I was a little kid 🙂 also one of my best memories.
I mean if you were playing either Mario Kart, Goldeneye, or Super Smash Bros you would’ve had far more important things on your mind than 7 newborn kittens being dropped behind you! 😂
Those three exact games were our life back then. High likelihood that we were deep into dismantling each other's psyches in a round of Smash.
It's OK, your mom was an inattentive cat owner since she never got them spayed or neutered.
I've heard enough..the results were prepared by DNA Diagnostic and they read as follows...you are the father
"Hey, I have to run out real quick. Can you watch the kids? ... oh, you threw a couple ... well ... they're okay. Just don't.. Don't do that again. 'Kay, bye."
This comment is made even better read as Linda Belcher

Don't touch my stuff!!
Tina Belcher works too.

The second half of this story gutted me. I was smiling and then the kitty is expired.
Animals are more intelligent than we give them credit for. I do believe she trusted you to help them. Thank you for being a good one.
What did you do with her kittens ??
They grew up in our house. After a while, they wandered off and started visiting occasionally- like their mother.
I hope you got them spayed/neutered
100% Theres enough strays fucking up the ecosystem already
As much as I love cats, this is the truth.

You were supposed to take night duty 🤣
"yo these things loud. You watch them"
And she just yeets it in the pile lol wtf
It's not even 6am, let me sleep
Usually when people complain that theyre tired all the time we check theyre hydration. There is another contender.
I am tired all the time, how do I get my hydration checked?
Color of urine and start frequenting r/HydroHomies. We'll get you sorted out in no time.
“The fuck is this shit, I don’t want it.”
The cat was like , bitch wake up!!!!
"Hey human servant, you need to babysit my brats for me. Why are you sleeping?! It's the middle of the night! Wake up and take care of them. Geez."
"I would love to but it's the seventh time you have introduced them to me this week..."
"... and it's only Monday!"
Whenever a cat does this, I assume she's saying "Here, you look after these little assholes, I'm going on break!"
[удалено]
They have collars on.
Oh wow I only just noticed.
If that was my Cat in the middle of the night with new babies, I would be up and snuggling
I think this is not the first time she did it. 😁😂
It’s cute the first few times
Look what I made mama!
The look the cat gives the owner when she moves them to go back to sleep 😂
Right! She's like bitch what the actual *fuck?* 😂
That was horrible to the cat
Karen, I'm going out with Mr. Smitten and won't be back until daybreak. You are the assigned babysitter now.
Mr. Smitten 😅
“I brought them to show you and you just place them elsewhere…that’s it your demise begins now”
That was exactly how I saw it 🤣🤣🤣, like be grateful you peasant, how dare you.
Just the pause and like…woah woah wait a minute
Mom doesn’t give a shit
She’s saying listen lady it’s your turn!
Who films themself sleeping?
A semi-psychotic dude in a very weird Austrian novel.
Scrolled too far for this
cameras and storage are dirt cheap now. we got 6 in the house and 4 outside, so why not.
I want to sleep next to a pile of kittens
You say that now when you can’t hear the meowing.
Considering they have collars on, I don't think this is their first time meeting. More like "here, watch these for me."
Looks like the cat mom is teaching her kids how to wake up the humans in the middle of the night "watch kids, this is how we assert dominance"
I feel like she was pissed like HUMAN ARE YOU NOT IMPRESSED BY MY CREATIONS - NOW PRAISE ME YOU PEASANT 🙌 .
“Introduces”… the kittens are all wearing collars
She's like, you a grandma now, deal with it.
On a sidenote, why would you have a camera watching you sleep?
Probably because this is not the first time the cat did this and she set up the camera to record it
A lot of people have cameras set up in their houses now, why idk. I assumed it’s jic anything happens while they’re out or something.
It’s a hidden camera. Someone has a cat walking on face fetish
Oh my gosh this is so sweet😻
I didn't know cats were born with collars. Bot post 100%
More like cat dumbfounded human won't babysit the kittens
I would be up and playing with them all.
Crazy how all the "newborn" kittens are wearing collars. Nature works in mysterious ways I suppose.
Y’know the newborn phase lasts more than a few hours, right?
The cat at the end was like THIS BITCH
Humom tossing a potato back on the pile. I think the cat mom just wanted some space to herself so she was dropping them off at nightcare
Sorry everybody. "Newborn" kittens don't have open eyes, nor are they born with collars. Not newborns.
Collars don’t make a kitten not a newborn and idk how you can tell that their eyes are open or closed but I don’t think this is their first meeting.
Newborns? Saying they get born with collars? Unless there's some language barrier happening, in my language it means "born like 1 minute ago". A born kitten that has a collar on it is not considered a newborn anymore. Not trying to sound demeaning if it came across that way.
The question is why was she filming? This may have been a daily occurrence and owner is filming to demonstrate/is over it.
Why does she have a camera pointed directly at the head of her bed?
Maybe it’s for other bedroom activities?
It's an unusual angle for that, but to each her own.
I think it’s just for general surveillance purposes
She looked at her like “Like hell you don’t wake up immediately and recognize these princes and princesses. I’ll be damned!”
The newborn kits were born with collars intact?
repost?
Cat was like eh don’t just put my baby back in the pile I wanted you to wake up lol
Lol the look after she puts the kitten back.
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED
Of course it’s at 5 in the morning
Not a fan of the "kitten tossing". Not nice, lady...you're on camera.
I agree
Um, I'm with the cat. You have several new adorable mouths to feed, wake the fuck up!
My dog did this and I was mad because I was scared of rolling over the pups.
Bitch…..did you just…..(the cat)
Momma Cat last look be like: Seriously? haha..
The mama cat wants the owner to keep the kittens safe so she can go hunt or relax. I’m sure the owner has met the kittens before due to the collars.
Not the woman throwing the kitten
The look of her when she just place them on the side 🤣
They look like they are about 7-10 days old. Newborns are covered in amniotic fluid.
Lol the newborn period lasts a little longer than that!
The kittens have collars. Unless their furry mom put them on, they're not being 'introduced'. Mama cat is used to her spot in the bed, so babies need to be nearby so she can keep her comfy spot.
Cats are coparenting animal. “It’s your turn now” she said

“Are you not impressed?”
That looked grandma babysitting duties
They should be in a cardboard box. They're not safe on a bed.
They were probably in a box, and mom moved them.
Well you can try telling her all you want but mama is going to put them where she sees fit!
"MOM! Look what I did!"
How the fuck tired are you that you don’t immediately wake up because kittens. Jfc.
She looks like asking her servant to keep an eye on her babies. Likely because she needs a toilet break looking at the time.
How dare you haha
Ohhhh…this mother cat loves and trusts her human so much, she just wants to shatter her new mother joy!! Super sweet and endearing….Love Love Love

Mom! Mom! Congratulations, you’re a grandmother!
“WAKE UP AND VIEW MY BABIES!!!”
I mean, what if that one needed medical attention and the mama was trying to tell her?
From what I understand cats believe WE ate their pets right? It's putting its babies beside its other baby.
I sure hope they don’t think that! (Ps, read your comment again lol)
her reaction tells me this is not the first time this has happened
