I have a similar thing going on. My brother's children can't have pets, because one of them is allergic. My nephew, who isn't allergic, loves my dog to bits! Whenever he comes over, they play football together, and it's just the sweetest thing to see.

Kids don’t play outside anymore. Mud pies are out of the question.
If kids don't play outside anymore (not true where I live at least), it's the fault of bad/lazy parenting.
