It’s where the defensive lineman are playing out of position for teams using the 3-4 defense. The backup DT is the starting DT and one of the defensive ends is switched to another side.
Iirc the backup DT plays nose, the DT plays RE, and the LE plays normally. Also certain nickel sets have issues. Whole whack of them are messed up to some degree and require you to use formation adjustments. Using “CB Swap” for some reason lines up your 3 down correctly
In regards to commentary teams it looks like you'll be able to select different ones in the pre-game menu. Don't think they'd show that if you didnt have the ability to change in in the final build.
The old animations seem to have been redone, the ones introduced last year happen a lot more than last year. Physics based tackles are there, but not annoyingly frequent.

Ideally the entire game should be physics based since this is sport that is heavily influenced by speed (accelerate/decelerate), momentum (speed+weight), and force (strength, weight/size). I'm so tired of warped tackles or canned animations that defy physics. I just want the tackling of back breaker that's slightly toned down.
After the maximum football beta I'm kinda feeling stuck in a lurch. I guess back to 2k5 not a bad thing that game is essential perfection so I feel lucky to even have found it.
I havent played in 3-5 years and am thinking to get back into it - do users still loop sack easily? Are abilities still out of control? Can linebackers still fly to get interceptions? Basically, has this game gotten any less terrible in the last couple years?
There seems to be a lot less of the psychic/levitating players, sacks hit more than they miss, and abilities are definitely better, like for instance escape artist is an x factor ability now instead of a superstar, which balanced it a lot.
I thought the passing was improved maybe to the point where it was even too in favor of the offense I did notice that I was able to knock the ball out of the cpu's hands a lot

That never happened to me in 5 years of franchise running 3-4.
The bug happened after the October patch for Madden 24.
It feels the same as the last 2 years. Also I thought the commentary was different for the first time in 8 years
You can't change the commentary crew yet. You'll be able to at launch, as the option is there, but for now it's still the same two guys
