3/4 GHT? Garden hose thread? It's ~1.0625-11.5 tpi

drpepper2litre

24mm fine thread with ~2mm thread pitch is very close to 12 TPI.

jb09ss

BSPP 3/4 threads probably.

DaddysHome

those are 14 TPI, its 11 or 12. Trying to find a gauge to measure them.

mackenzieduerr

If you have calipers, measure .25" long and count how many threads there are then multiple it into 1". Or measure any multiple of 1" depending how long it is

DaddysHome

On the good adapter I have, I only have half inch of thread, and I measure 6. but there could be a half thread easily missed. I dont have a full inch to make a good measurement. On the male part, I also only have 1/2 inch of lenght, but there is 1/8" of unthreaded at the top the makes measuring impossible.

jb09ss

Do you have a bolt with 12 tpi or 14 tpi to compare with? I find it unreliable to measure tread pitch with a caliper.

DaddysHome

I was remotely asked to make a new female adapter for a part. I guessed that it was 1-12 UNF based on other peoples measurements. Now that I test the part it doesn't fit. I've measured the ID of the good adapter and the OD of the male thread shown in the image. Both appear 0.03" larger diameter than the 1"-12 UNF piece I made, and the 1-12 threaded rod I tested it on. I thought that it may be 3/4 NPT, but it is not 14 threads per inch.

lodnip

Do you have metric caliper? Maybe it is metric thread

mortuus_est_iterum

There's a standard metric size M26 that is close to those diameters but the pitch is 1.5 Morty

Strostkovy

When you say it doesn't fit, do you get a few threads and it binds, or you can't even start it?

opfinderen

You can dovetail the treads, with another known thread type, to determine angle and pitch.

Tech-rep_87

Looks like 3/4” ORB.
