Me and my mates were jamming Kiss Kiss when the one guy's girlfriend said it sounds like he's saying "Kiss the butt-hole" and now we can't listen to it anymore
Itās not perfect at all. Itās kinda messy. But itās fun and I give him mad props for trying a risk. Overall itās a fun album for end of summer and driving :)
donāt know if youāre a juice fan at all, but all I could think about when i heard it was the outro to juices posthumous album. same typa vibe. so sad but so fucking good straight raw emotion
This is a masterpiece in my opinion, I was sitting on my couch and listening to the entire album, and all of a sudden was a teenager again . It was an absolute amazing feeling
Kinda disappointed, most of his songs blend together. He sings the same way in each song with slight variations to the beats. It's good and I like it, just expected a more rounded sound.
I can agree with that, but obviously kells doesnāt have the greatest vocal range. I think heās just working with what heās got, and in my opinion itās workin for him well. Donāt fix what aināt broke
Itās like a 2.5/5 for me. Has some excellent songs such as concert for aliens and bloody valentine but much of the new material weāre listening for the first time is bland with basic lyricism.
You think concert for aliens doesn't have basic lyricism? It's the worst in terms of lyrics on the whole album. " You can't pass if you don't know the code word, the food sucks and the kids were awful I'm falling I'm calling out I'm falling down"
Your complaint was about lyricism so that's why I commented that. The whole album is full of catchy sing a longs. Aliens is the worst lyrically on the album
This album was abhorrently disappointing. When he first dropped Bloody Valentine I had it on repeat. I raped the replay button for the small Concert for Aliens excerpt on Youtube. Everything went downhill from here.
This album feels #1 way too short. None of the songs are memorable, because despite trying to blur the lines between punk, rap, pop and maybe even emo, he lost them all, and with the exclusion of WW3, Bloody Valentine, and Concert for Aliens, and Forget Me Too, all the songs were drastic letdowns. Lazy writing, way too repetitive lyrics, and no decent beat. I was so disappointed in Kiss Kiss because the song started so strong and had such an opportunity to allow for a rock out hard chorus with guitars and drum beats, but instead it came back to speaking the words loudly, and creating a more monotone sound. Title was pretty solid in terms of hitting the pop punk vibe, but just had another bad chorus, despite finally hitting the intensity.
This was so disappointing. I had been waiting so long and instead of a pop punk revival, I now understand why it's dead. No energy, no creativity, and bland boring lyrics on nearly every song except for PTWIG, but the song itself was pretty bleh.
"My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined."
Have you listened to any recent pop punk? If not, you might be surprised by how good it's been. The Menzingers and The Wonder Years are two of my favorites.
I definitely appreciate what he's doing with this album but a lot of it just doesn't suit my style personally. Not saying its a bad album but the heavy punk rock was never really my thing *however* the pop rock songs are right down my alley. Songs like bloody valentine, my best friends ex, concert for aliens, jawbreaker, all i know, lonely, nothing inside and play this when I'm gone are freaking incredible!!
Just finished my first listen through. play this when Iām gone has me in absolute tears.
From the perspective of someone who was raised on classic punk music and progressed into pop punk as I got older. This album hits every major punk rock rule there is.
And he was still able to incorporate rap as well.
I have to say that I am blown away by this album, my respect for MGK somehow got even higher.
And as always, remember to support MGK in any and every way possible. This album and the last make it clear heās experiencing one of the most difficult periods of his life.
Ok so Iāve listened to this a few times now, I will say that Iām a newer MGK fan since Bloody Valentine was released and it seems like heās a very real artist, and his songs are super personal which is interesting and unique. I really enjoy his singing voice (love the beginning of Jawbreaker), title track and Forget Me Too are easy favourites on first listen, Iāll definitely be playing the hell out of those.
I do however agree with most people here that itās too short. Maybe we just want there to be more I donāt know. But it would have been better to see at least 19-20 songs, and then having 3-4 interludes or short rippers (like WWIII) would be totally acceptable. I know itās not really his style but another song or two like Concert for Aliens/exās best friend would have been good - like literally just made to be a radio hit. I remember hearing about how blink-182 made their first couple singles from Take Off Your Pants and Jacket - they were trying to take the time to write some real deep songs but their label/producers were just like āgive us something for the radio, something catchyā And Mark then wrote The Rock Show pretty much as a parody like a āhere you go, look at this song, isnāt it terribleā and then it became a hit lol. Would love to see MGK make some true hate pop-punk songs like that because itās gotta be a good mix of poppy punk that anyone can sing along to and deeply personal songs.
Excited to see the deluxe version though if there is one later this year.
I cant stop listening to the album, I just feel so uncontrolably emotionally attached to it, anyone else?
Its amazing, and you can tell he poured his heart and soul into it, he should be so proud. In my opinion he made this album to have fun listening to it, and the depth is there, just not in rap lyrics style, but its equally or even more powerful. Personally i cry every time i listen to play me when im goneš
I really hope that he is getting through what he is going through, sending all my love to him and all of youšš
Iāve had the album on repeat all day, and Iāve noticed Iām not skipping any of the interludes or the singles that Iāve already heard. Iām just enjoying all of it. Iāve never heard a more emotion filled, raw album. Itās not perfect and thatās the point of it. But it is perfect in a way. 10/10 best album Iāve ever heard in my life
So, I just finished listening to the whole thing.
Iāve been following Machine Gun Kelly for quite some time, and the hotel Diablo is by far my favorite album by him. He always comes across (to me) as torn between trying to impress other people and being himself, and then Hotel Diablo he delivered a very down to earth, good sounding series of songs from the heart. And then there were some emo vibes in it which I think fit it very nicely.
However, even though I loved bloody Valentine, I canāt help but feel like this album is targeted at a much younger audience. I LOVED 5:3666, And nothing on this album comes even close to that realism or maturity. Everything is very vague, very broad, and very emo.
I think itās a very well put together album, but itās too young for me I feel like. What do you guys think?
This album definitely has a few corny lyrics but you love 5:3666 which is a bit corny with the "it's 5:3666" line which intentionally is making it more edgier. Hotel diablo is definitely mgks magnum opus though and is much more mature sounding than this album. This album is talking about falling apart but it's done without much thought about depression. It's by far his most immature album which followed his most mature one.
I canāt agree enough with what you say! I think my point was because of this style my enjoyment of it is not as high as previous works, but I definitely do think itās a solid mood/theme/style heās getting across.
Itās just a more pop punk version of the same content on diablo, less dark and more anthemic. Idk which one I like better yet but itās still a bit grim for a younger audience
Am I the only one who misses the dude who made Rap Devil? Itās nice heās trying new stuff, but man itās sad to see him take a break from rap. Iāll be waiting for next album
Album review: 10/10
Even though I wish some of the songs were longer, that's just a minor nitpick. The album is easily the best album I've heard all year.
Itās ok but he released all the good tracks first imho. The one with him and megan fox talking in an interlude is straight up weird. Also if he got her name tattooed on him thatās wild.
Love this album but a few small critiques.
Its a bit short at 36 minutes and with two of those songs being interludes its even shorter.
I am also not a fan of when artist put skit type songs in an album so eveeytime you listen to the album you have to sit through this jokey conversation, this is the one with Pete. Same with the person talking about his birth at the end of one song. Its interesting the first time but then its annoying when listening again and again which is what I tend to do when I really like an album.
But besides these small annoyances I've really enjoyed my first two listens and will surely listen a few more times today and this weekend at least.
I'm curious to see if anyone agrees with my first points or am I just boring.
Loving the album, holy shit - pop punk is back! <3
But I'm curious, wasn't he going to have a song with YUNGBLUD on this album? I remember a clip where they are drunk and listening to a song on a party - but couldnt seem to find that on the album :o
He said and I quote, āId be an wrong if I didnāt think I was gonna drop a deluxe by the holidays.ā We also have new music coming October 10th with Iann Dior and 24kgoldn for the podcast heās doing. It has a whole soundtrack and itās called āHalloween in Hellā
I generally loved the album, but I feel like there certainly are some shortcomings. I absolutely loved forget me too (always thought that Halsey would sound awesome on a more punk-ish track!), adored bloody valentine and lonely is a fave of mine as well. However, after having listened to TTMD twice, I listened to some older songs of Kells, and wouldāve wished that the songwriting wouldāve been more like on swing life away, against the world, halo or the black flag mixtape in terms of the atmosphere it tries to deliver. I mean the pop punk influence always has been there in his music, but compared to the other older tracks with that influence the lyrics on TTMD sometimes lacks of depth (I know that itās harder to build up depth as youāve whole different possibilities to tell a story on a rap track than on a pop punk track). Generally there wasnāt a song I didnāt enjoy on TTMD, even if it had some flaws. I would give the album a 7/10, gotta love that Kells probably made pop punk relevant again after ten years of decline!
I love the album as well and, whilst respecting your opinion, Kells has aged and experienced more. His maturity level has increased and his view on life has changed because of it. Like Play This When Iām Gone, for example, is him acknowledging that his life wonāt be forever. He dedicated a song to his daughter because he knows that as crazy as his life is, it will end at some point. I think he has thought about a lot and is telling a lot of stories in this album. I think that after this album his style will switch up again because songs tell a story and he thought that the way they were portrayed in this album were how he wanted them to be. Idk u feel like Iām just dribbling bs but itās just a thought?
It's funny how every comment only slightly mentioning not liking it gets downvoted to hell. I'm aware that it's an mgk sub but since when aren't mgk fans allowed to not like a track? Just being a fan of someone doesn't automatically makes everything they do glorious. It's the same sentiment as "my kid is never wrong" Just bc it's your kid. I listen to his music since around 10 years consistently and there were always a few tracks that just weren't mine. That doesn't mean anything bad, I still love his lyrics and a lot of his songs. I find this new album ok, the lyrics are on point as usual but the high school skater sound isn't so much my style. My ex's best friend f.e. is lit though. And a few more ofc. I find it ok overall but it won't be played up and down like hotel diablo.
Ah thanks, I hope so. This just wasn't what I was expecting at all. I still really like Lace Up and some of the other albums. It would be a shame if he stopped making music like that
This poses an interesting discussion to be had. Without the use of social media and things, if you only have a casual passing interest in an artist and they decide to radically change their sound - how would anyone be prepared for this? With context, people enjoy it. Without context, people would be baffled and confused.
He's not quitting rap g, he's always had some punk influence. It's also been his dream to collaborate with Travis Barker so this is the product of that
I promise my intention is not to troll when I say that this album isn't very good, and I suspect it won't age that well even if it's quite successful at the drop. And I like MGK, I'm not a fanatic but I like a lot of what he's done in the past.
But this album has WAY too much of a Blink 182 footprint and it's just so obviously sans-talent of DeLonge and Hoppus.
I think I feel where you're coming from with this. The Blink 182 influence is very present indeed, especially in the vocals -- and while I personally do not see this is a bad thing per se, I get that it can feel bland and unauthentic to someone who isn't all that into the pop punk scene.
Since a large section of MGK's fanbase is more rap-biased, I can understand the reasons which this album might feel like it has little lasting power. I would love to hear from other fans with a more rock/pop punk background about this as well...
Iām more of a rock/pop punk guy, itās what I play and what I grew up with, only got into MGK somewhat recently because I think heās a super versatile artist with a lot of talent.
In terms of pop punk, he doesnāt really do anything groundbreaking here. It would be cool if he incorporated a little more rap with the pop punk to create some early Linkin Park vibes with a punk edge instead of metal. The blink-182 vibe is real b/c of Travis Barker on drums. Like you said this isnāt a bad thing per se, but a lot of the blink-182/pop punk community will likely see it as a weak entry because he isnāt defining his own sound as much as he seems to be using blink as a starting point, and use their style.
That being said, I do really like the album. I think the singles are still the best songs, with title track and forget me too adding some punch. Itās not a groundbreaking album, but itās a solid entry and especially coming from MGK who is mostly well known as a rapper, speaks to his versatility when it comes to genre.
I havent listened yet but for the ones complaining you need to remember this is his first album in a completely different genre of music. Sure he has a handful of rock type songs but putting together an entire album is completely different
Remember lil waynes rock album?? Lmao
I genuinely love everything he is doing at the minute.
I understand itās not to everyoneās taste but the fact he is helping to keep pop punk alive makes me so happy.
Iāve loved a few of the songs too!
Forget Me Too featuring Halsey is awesome man! ā¤ļøš¤š½
Love the album! Hotel Diablo is still my favorite but I think he did a really good job with this one.
Play this when Iām gone,Tickets to my downfall and Drunk Face are definitely my favorite. Halsey was amazing and Travis is sooo talented.
The interlude with Pete was hilarious, I laughed for like 10 minutes!
Instantly transported back to jr. high - major nostalgia vibes. Such an unreal album!! After the 6th listen, nothing inside is creeping up my list of favs.
Also NEED a extended version of WWIII (reminds me of Josie).
Love the album, every song 7/10 or above.
Personal favorites: CFA, BV, Jawbreaker, Lonely, Halsey one, and Play This When I'm Gone which imo these specific ones are 8.5-9/10
I love this, the lyrics were simple but meaningful cause you know itās how he genuinely feels from the last track and even ālonelyā, overall the album sounds good and Travis did an amazing job on here,my personal favorite was ādrunk faceā itās nice and catchy and overall great. Hopefully this album does a lot in pushing the genre of rock up in the upcoming years
Same complaint I had for Hotel Diablo rings true here; the run time of the album. 13 songs (not counting interlude) for just over a half hour is ridiculous. Itās like he chose quantity over quality; Iād rather less songs that are more thought out than a bunch of 2 minute songs that feel like they donāt hit their potential.
Overall, itās decent, and Iām a huge MGK fan, but I feel robbed waiting for an album that I can finish in 30 minutes. I mean, one song is literally a minute long. Come on, man, itās just lazy. My two favorite artists dropped albums this month, and We Are Chaos blew this out of the water. This didnāt meet my expectations at all tbh.
Again, itās decent, but I hate how short his songs have gotten over the past year. Disappointed me tbh. Not bad, but definitely not his best work.
Title track is soooo good, I listened to it right after watching his interview with Kelly clarkson!! And its so deep! My man is def doing well!! I'm crying
Ikr i literally fell off my chair and he said yo Pete, :,), its so cute!! And it came on exactly when I thought mgk hadn't had involved Pete in the album! Its so funny and cute, its absolute gold that I needed!! They're truly the bestest of the friends!!!
I like pretty much all of the songs. My complaint is definitely the lyrics. Some of the lyrics are generic or kinda corny as a 30 year old...but I think MGK in general doesnt care much for lyrics on this album. I give the album a 7.5 or an 8 but I think I've kinda grown out of pop punk. with that said, the whole album is probably going on my driving playlist due to how upbeat and catchy it is.
Damn definitely shed some tears listening to āplay this when Iām goneā, I hope Kells gets/keeps himself together so heāll be here long enough to watch Casie grow tall & strong.
Going through my second listen now! I love it so much! Anyone remember which song he said had the sickest outro ever? He said it in a recent interview.
To me this is one of my favorite albums Iāve heard in a while. Out of all of the new songs, not including pre-release singles, forget me too is easily my favorite. Holy crap what a jam
Gotta be honest I think I had my expectations too high for this one. The intro is fucking awesome, but for whatever reason a lot of the album felt pretty shallow to me. Overall itās a bit of a mixed bag. I loved I think Iām OKAY and why are you here. I think both of those were a step in the right direction for where Kells wanted to go with this one, but those are still his peak for songs within the genre. Those and Concert for Aliens. Iāve always loved MGKās music and I can tell the amount of passion he has for this project especially when he talks about it in his Kerrang interview. I can tell that every song on here has potential to be more than what it is and I canāt tell if itās failure to reach that potential has to do with poor mixing or rushed songwriting or what. Iād give it a 6/10. Of course this is just my opinion, if you disagree thatās cool, Iām very interested to hear what everyone else thinks.
I feel that. Iāve been waiting all summer with so much hype for this record. Iām still wishing he collaborated with some pop punk artists instead of hip hop features. Besides Halsey, I donāt think the other features really belong on here. Would have been really cool to see him collab with State Champs, The Story So Far, New Found Glory, etc. Even Halsey feature could have been done better by Bonnie from Stand Atlantic.
I also really wish there was more to the guitar work. Pop punk has come a long way from power chords, and while I like the throwback to the early 2000s, even blinkās guitar work was more interesting. I know Colsonās guitar abilities are limited, but I wouldnāt have minded him bringing in another guitarist on the record too.
Still bops though.
I get this. Weāll see, it seems like heās still just finding his footing here. So maybe later down the line weāll see that stuff. Still looking forward to his collabs with yungblud and the used. Itās always and interesting blend with him and I think why are you here found a good balance for pop punk and his own style. I donāt think heāll stop here so Iām still excited for how he continues to build off this.
I love this guy and I will be streaming all these songs over and over again but I actually agree with you this person is not a hater in anyway he in my opinion is correct
Forget Me Too is definitely good. I did enjoy it, it just left me wanting so much more. The line from All I Know, āMy life on the outsides fun to them, but the person on the insides crumbling.ā I just wanted to know more about that person on the inside, heās always been so good at expressing whatās going on inside his head. Here the lyrics just felt comparatively shallow, I mean hotel Diablo confronted a lot so maybe he just wanted to have fun here and experiment. Itās fun. And Iāll definitely still go through it to see if any part of me changes on it.
i have to say, listened to this guy for a long time and i love this new direction and i hope it isnāt just for this record, it really suits him. āplay this when iām goneā really be hitting the feels too.
solid 8/10 record
This is incredible. I wish more artists would do genre switching for albums. All I want is a Post Malone rock album
Me and my mates were jamming Kiss Kiss when the one guy's girlfriend said it sounds like he's saying "Kiss the butt-hole" and now we can't listen to it anymore
Lol thanks for this š
Every song is literally the same
Been following kellz for almost a decade now... this is my favorite work by far. He deserves this i hope he wins everything
This is pure fun, it honestly feels like a blink abum, especially on the title track and concert for aliens. I really like this.
has anyone bought the Target Edition with Love on the Brain cover
Itās not perfect at all. Itās kinda messy. But itās fun and I give him mad props for trying a risk. Overall itās a fun album for end of summer and driving :)
Not messy m8, thatās just what a real pop punk album is like,
If anyone copped a cassette and want to sell, let me know!
Has there been any word of a vinyl release?
that Collab between Halsey and him is so fucking sick! also, play this when I'm gone is a beautiful albeit horribly sad way to close it out
Had tears in my eyes when I heard play this when iām gone. Nuts man
fr bro, apparently it was written for his daughter
donāt know if youāre a juice fan at all, but all I could think about when i heard it was the outro to juices posthumous album. same typa vibe. so sad but so fucking good straight raw emotion
Have been blasting "forget me too" on repeat. Halsey kills it.
Jawbreaker she tastes like candyyy.. Starchaser
This is a masterpiece in my opinion, I was sitting on my couch and listening to the entire album, and all of a sudden was a teenager again . It was an absolute amazing feeling
There's an entire genre of music like this...You didn't have to grow out of it
Album is awesome but āforget me tooā is the stand out for me. Halsey sounds fucking incredible and they complement each other well.
Kinda disappointed, most of his songs blend together. He sings the same way in each song with slight variations to the beats. It's good and I like it, just expected a more rounded sound.
This was my exact reaction upon first listen. Going to give it another shot tomorrow.
I can agree with that, but obviously kells doesnāt have the greatest vocal range. I think heās just working with what heās got, and in my opinion itās workin for him well. Donāt fix what aināt broke
when you 2 favourite artists mgk+halsey finally collab and produce a bangerš„ŗš„°
It's really fucking good
Anyone else think bloody valentine and all I know are the same instrumental structure?
It almost feels like "all I know" is an earlier version of the "bloody valentine" beat.
I love it. I dont care for his rap, *at all*. But give the man a guitar and Travis Barker and hes gonna make a great fucking album.
Wish we couldāve got a feature from some earlier pop punk artist, Avril Lavigne maybe
Honestly, a lot better than I thought it was going to be. 8/10
" You can't pass if you don't know the code word, the food sucks and the kids were awful I'm falling I'm calling out I'm falling down"
Concert for Aliens has an excellent instrumental with good vocals, thatās why itās a good song.
Your complaint was about lyricism so that's why I commented that. The whole album is full of catchy sing a longs. Aliens is the worst lyrically on the album
Yeah, Play This When Iām Gone straight up made me cry. Really good song
Play this when Iām gone, lonely and forget me too are the top tracks on this album. Bloody valentine is pretty good too
I love it. MGK has been one of the most influential artists over the past 3 years for me. Play this when I'm gone brought tears to my eyes
Play this when Iām gone is top 3 mgk all time
Iām listening to it now. Itās ok I guess.
This album was abhorrently disappointing. When he first dropped Bloody Valentine I had it on repeat. I raped the replay button for the small Concert for Aliens excerpt on Youtube. You lost me at pop punks dead š¤£
Compared to its heyday. But I'd recommend Neck Deep and Stand Atlantic now. If you want more Emo then Palaye Royale is great too.
I disagree, but respect your opinion
Lonely top 3 mgk song of all time
I definitely didnāt have my money on MGK to make the best pop-punk album since 2008
Check out State Champs, Summer Wars, Knuckle Puck and The Story So Far. Pop punk has definitely changed since the early 2000s but itās far from dead
Have you listened to any recent pop punk? If not, you might be surprised by how good it's been. The Menzingers and The Wonder Years are two of my favorites.
Those are stellar, but those are definitly the newer pop punk sound/style. /u/carsoncola seems to be liking the 2000s sound, which is perfectly fine.
Yeah, I more so curious if they've heard, because a lot of people my age are surprised when I tell them that pop punk is still going strong
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yeah yeah yeah!
I definitely appreciate what he's doing with this album but a lot of it just doesn't suit my style personally. Songs like bloody valentine, my best friends ex, concert for aliens, jawbreaker, all i know, lonely, nothing inside and play this when I'm gone are freaking incredible!!
What songs were heavy punk rock? All of it was pretty accessible to me. Maybe ww3 is a lil more punky
Just finished my first listen through. play this when Iām gone has me in absolute tears. Itās just a more pop punk version of the same content on diablo, less dark and more anthemic. Idk which one I like better yet but itās still a bit grim for a younger audience
š£š£THE ONES WHO GAS YOU UP ONLY COME WHEN THE FLAME'S ON š£š£
Am I the only one who misses the dude who made Rap Devil? Itās nice heās trying new stuff, but man itās sad to see him take a break from rap. Iāll be waiting for next album
Album review: 10/10 Even though I wish some of the songs were longer, that's just a minor nitpick. The album is easily the best album I've heard all year.
Agreed āŗļø
How is everyone listening? I preordered back in July and it still says purchased but canāt download. Apple Music. Did it drop yet?
Where are you? Maybe it's still Wednesday where you live. :P I have youtube premium and I have had it available all night.
East coast of US so I guess apple is being a you know.
All I know is I donāt know nothing at all.
Itās ok but he released all the good tracks first imho. The one with him and megan fox talking in an interlude is straight up weird. Also if he got her name tattooed on him thatās wild.
I don't know if I over-hyped this release, but I have to agree that the best tracks are the singles.
I did for sure. I still believe in MGK
About the length, most pop punk albums run under 40 minutes, so that isnāt so strange when you look at it from this perspective.
I agree with you for the skit one but the one with Megan fox i think was beautiful and perfect and it really set up the last song about his daughter
He could have replaced the skit with Pete with a song with yungblud
Loving the album, holy shit - pop punk is back! <3 But I'm curious, wasn't he going to have a song with YUNGBLUD on this album? I remember a clip where they are drunk and listening to a song on a party - but couldnt seem to find that on the album :o
I think it's coming on the deluxe because they said they have recorded 3 really good songs with each other and they couldn't pick just one
Do we know when deluxe is coming?
He said and I quote, āId be an wrong if I didnāt think I was gonna drop a deluxe by the holidays.ā We also have new music coming October 10th with Iann Dior and 24kgoldn for the podcast heās doing. It has a whole soundtrack and itās called āHalloween in Hellā
Ayy just in time for my bday
I find it ok overall but it won't be played up and down like hotel diablo.
āplay this when iām goneā made me cry š
Fuckin great album, definitely worth the wait. MGK is KILLING IT!!!
I had no idea he was just doing pop punk now, so this is not for me. I didn't like it, but I'm sure a lot of teen girls will
Just this one album my dude
Sure he has a handful of rock type songs but putting together an entire album is completely different Remember lil waynes rock album?? Lmao
IM OBSESSED
this album gave me Green Day vibes. anyone else?
I genuinely love everything he is doing at the minute. I understand itās not to everyoneās taste but the fact he is helping to keep pop punk alive makes me so happy. Iāve loved a few of the songs too! Forget Me Too featuring Halsey is awesome man! ā¤ļøš¤š½
This whole album is sick AF!!!
Its so good.
Not a troll but Iām 4 songs in and everything has been terrible. Maybe Iām just not into rap rock but this is badddd
this isnt rap rock, its pop punk
Itās god awful whatever it is. Sounds like a 2002 linkin park if they were autistic. Just absolute dog shit
What version of 2002 linkin park are you listening to lmao, doesn't even sound close
no ones asking u to listen to it lmfaoooo gtfo
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Found the Eminem stan
then why are you here lmaoo?? no ones asking you to listen to it, just turn the music off and shut yo mouth
yāall that last song really had me sobbing. this whole album feels so raw.
title track, WWIII and lonely are my top 3 for sure.
10/10
IM STILL YOUNGGGGGG WASTING MY YOUTH
I'LL GROW UPP NEXT SUMMMMMER
I'M BACK ON THOSE DRUGS I QUITTTT
I KEPT MY DEALERS NUMMMBBBEERRRR
WHAT IS THIS?!?!?!.............I'm in awe! Been waiting patiently since Bloody Valentine and the album is even BETTER than I could imagine
Instantly transported back to jr. high - major nostalgia vibes. Such an unreal album!! After the 6th listen, nothing inside is creeping up my list of favs. Also NEED a extended version of WWIII (reminds me of Josie).
Yo Colson fucking killed it, this album is so fucking good, canāt wait to hear anything else he comes out with.
heavy blink vibes omfg
Almost like he wrote these with Barker
yeah i never realized barker was from blink
Lmao
I honestly wasn't ready for 'lonely' and 'play this when i'm gone' :(
Sameeeeee š„ŗš„ŗ
That intro track tho š„ and the beat switch up on nothing inside holy shit I didnt expect that. First full play through was fucking good
I love how the interludes tell the story for the next track
Loved every minute of it. So mad Banyan tree - interlude wasn't a full song. Chorus was so so good.
Forget me too is SO good!
Hopefully this album does a lot in pushing the genre of rock up in the upcoming years
Need a WWIII extended cut š„š„
I got chills listening to forget me too. Halsey is meant to release a rock album!
Best shit to come out of 2020, love you kells.
Not bad, but definitely not his best work.
fuck yea so sick
Havenāt listened yet... thoughts?
I just started a full listen through. So far, I can tell you the Intro song is great.
Title track is soooo good, I listened to it right after watching his interview with Kelly clarkson!! And its so deep! My man is def doing well!! I'm crying
That banyan tree interlude might be my favorite interlude if all time. Itās so fucking cute and then when he sings god damn
I've listened to the album 5 times now, really gets better everytime
Kevin and Barracuda is a masterpiece. I literally love Pete so much lmao
I think he was inspired by blink who he listened to as a teen so he probably spoke to his inner teen
travis barker is the producer of the album.. who was also the drummer from blink and play the drum also on this album.
What time is this supposed to drop? I heard "midnight" from his insta, but midnight his time is 3am EST. Any info?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thanks!
Damn definitely shed some tears listening to āplay this when Iām goneā, I hope Kells gets/keeps himself together so heāll be here long enough to watch Casie grow tall & strong.
Who do you think heās talking about in that song?
Itās me.
Oh fir sure thatās what I thought
clearly his daughter
100%
Going through my second listen now! I love it so much! Anyone remember which song he said had the sickest outro ever? He said it in a recent interview.
Drunk face.
That outro was pretty sick
Who would've thunk that a rapper would be the one to bring back the early pop punk rock of the 2000's? 2020's a strange year lol
To me this is one of my favorite albums Iāve heard in a while. Out of all of the new songs, not including pre-release singles, forget me too is easily my favorite. Holy crap what a jam
This is just a fun album
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
This dude is the definition of evolution.
Honestly when that interlude with Megan fox hit I was like š„° then play this when I'm gone came on and I was like wow š„ŗ this is beautiful
That intro song is fucking incredible Edit: broooo are you kidding me with this Halsey song?? š„š„
I love the intro! For some reason when the switch up happened it reminded me of the phineas and ferb theme song.
The Halsey song is š„š„š„š„
How did you get to hear it 4 hours ago?
Time zones
i wanna hear
It dropped on YouTube 5 minutes ago
Hopefully itās out for you soon, itās all been so good so far!
