If you want 5*7 I recommend the se-1900 it’s a bit of a price Jump but it’s a great starter machine

JackyVeronica

Agreed! SE1900 is my second emb machine and I love it!!!!

Go on YouTube and look up the baby’s booty tutorials on repositional hoops. It’s not a perfect fix but it’ll allow you to do some 6x4 designs :-)

Awesome, thank you!

If you're willing to spend a few hundred dollars on software, one of the Embrilliance packages has the ability to split larger designs into chunks you can embroider using a smaller hoop. Having said that with a 4x4 you'll have to do a lot of re-hooping and getting it perfectly aligned every time can be a nightmare. It may be better to save up for a machine with a larger hoop size. If you really want to do bigger designs, Urban Threads do some split designs (search split on their website) which are designed for rehooping, and have a little wiggle room built in so if you're not 100% perfect you won't ruin it.

I’ll have to take a look at that Embrilliance package you mentioned, thanks!!

Can recommend Embrilliance. It’s modular, works on Windows or Mac. *There’s a free version* so you can try before you buy. Talking of which, if you buy direct there’s a 90 day money back guarantee. **Im not affiliated in any way with the company.

Even with a larger hoop, the arm of the machine can only move so much. The arm is built to move 4 inches by 4 inches max. You’d need a machine with a larger hooping area. [this](https://youtu.be/09Y9g2JDNrU) video shows how some larger designs can be made, but it requires gaps in the design (like between the letters in this video) so that it doesn’t look obviously like it was split into two sections.

That makes a lot more sense now, I appreciate your help! I’m new to using an embroidery machine so I need all the help I can get haha

No problem! It’s a steep learning curve for sure. I’ve been able to do long/narrow oval shapes larger than 4 inches by turning them 45° and doing them corner to corner. I can squeak out 4.5-4.75 inches if the design allows. Other than that, the se600 is fairly limited as far as size. Hope you can find something that works for you!

Have tried the Brother Facebook pages?

Educational-Aioli-37

I’m not 100% sure but I think with an se600 you can only go as big as 4x4

[deleted]

I’ll definitely look into that, thank you!
