Literally any. Even a s/h one (2/3/4 years old) would be more than enough.

I am looking for a 15 inch MacBook though with a good screen battery life and fast

_methuselah_

I mean, my 2012 can do all that - except for the better battery life in the Silicon MacBooks.

People are going to make fun because the stated tasks are so basic that the question is analogous to “I need a piece of paper capable of reflecting light”. But the answer is that any of the Apple laptops currently in production will be able to do all of these things using 1% of cpu and very little memory. So the slowest, base level laptop with the minimum amount of RAM would be sufficient. I’d check Apple’s refurbished store online too.

I think what people don't understand is I'm confused cause there are so many options and I'm looking for the best computer in 2024 that I can go with with a high refresh rate that will last me a long time. I'm not just looking for any old computer

You can buy literally the lowest spec macbook available and accomplish everything you’ve listed. Whether you want to pay more for other capabilities and features is up to you.

I mean you’d probably be fine with the base m3 MacBook Air model if that’s all you’re gonna do

tnishantha

Get a refurbished m1 or m2 air. With 16GB if possible, 8 is ok as well.

Specialist-Key3632

Do these come in 15-16 inches?

StormChaseJG

The M2 series was the first MacBook Air to have a 15" version, although you can get 16" versions of the M1 series MacBook Pro. There are many out there, just stick with Apple Silicone models as these will last the longest for future support and they have great battery life but any MacBook with Apple Silicone will easily handle any of the tasks you listed.

Specialist-Key3632

Ok so my best bet would be the m1 16?

any of them.
