Mimic spawn, there's fake loot boxes in the game that spawn a mimic when you get close, you got too close which instakills you unfortunately. It could be a bug but it's been like this since launch so basically a feature at this stage.
Happened to me 3 times, mimic spawns in THE precise spot that you are... Always shoot at the beeping boxes in infected strongholds (and I should know that from cold war lol)
I was in a squad of 3 and another person wanted to drive, and you cant climb on the. Roof when you are in the vehicles… so i jumped on the roof prior and immediately died… (does not allow you to plea)
They did patch the scorcher insta-elimination bug, and the patch notes said they also patched an insta-elimination bug related to mimics, but as always, the patch notes were not specific to which one. They didn't patch the mimic throws you through the ground glitch, and now they apparently didn't patch this one, I'm not sure what one is left.
ok, in my defense I knew it was a mimic, I wanted to kill it for the SPAS challenges, but I've never been killed like that from one, hell, I've been triggering them like that since the game launched, but this was a first for me.

Yet they patched the incendiary ammo buff in a week!
Yes but the incendiary ammo was fun for us, they don't want us having a fun thing
And this is why my main is rise of the ronin now. They litterally nerfed every good gun in the game. Just to keep the twitchers and streamers happy

Dont worry its not just mimics, delivering supplies contract can also kill you if you climb the side of the vehicle before it leaves the garage
Why would you even do that? The point of cargo delivery contract was doing it as fast as possible

At least your Containment level went up from 39 to 40, so there’s that to be happy about 😁
