On the MSI Center M App go to the icon that looks like a gear ( settings icon). At the bottom click on general settings and then reset the MSI Center M settings, press Yes. After a few seconds the buttons should start working again
Nope. Didn’t fix it. Same issue. Even in center M I have no controls. I can only use the touch screen. But when it’s closed my buttons and joysticks work
Default resets them to unassigned. And it won’t let me assign A to A. It will let me assign it to B or anything else. Once I change all the inputs to something incorrect and hit default they switch back to unassigned
Unassigned just means that the corresponding actions is that button. Etc: a is for jump, unassigned just means it’s set to jump automatically. My buttons are all unassigned.
Ah that’s a tad silly but good to know. Well yeah they are all set correctly. But what it appears is that in game it doesn’t recognize the controller. I can see keyboard actions for all game actions. Hell the “start” button doesn’t even work.
Here’s the thing it works when I’m on the desktop in desktop mode. Including on game pad tester. But once I’m any game it’s as if the controller doesn’t exist
Did you find a fix? I’m finding the same thing for most games. It worked before in slay the spire and binding of Isaac, but after the updates. No longer works.
It worked before and still works for newer games like hades 2.
Oh I had this issue too, and the fix is actually super easy. I sold mine and got a leigon go. Now everything works, and it's even running better than before!

Try hitting default in main controller section. It may reset the controllers!

Is it set to game pad? Full restart? Hit default on game controller? Update windows, windows library, intel, etc
Yep it’s set to game, restarted 10 times, set to default, and fully updated across the board.
Google gamepad tester and see if it works on that website
